No you don't I'm 21 and I got a quote from em @ Juliette - I'm 100% on going Shannons, just a matter of time before I call up Just Car and tell them they are shit and that I want a refund of 4 weeks of my premium LOL. On a side note... To anyone else that's thinking to go with Shannons. Initially, the quote they gave me was $1669 for an agreed value of $18,000. Then I thought about it and wanted to raise the agreed value a little more, so I called up and asked to put it up a bit more and I told them I don't mind paying more in premium. So the guy asked me how much money and stuff I've put into it, I told him, then he went to ask his colleage that's into Skylines, and he said, "look, we can make it $20,000 for you, but can't go above that", then I asked, so how much more would I have to pay? And he got back to me with "oh, I just put down $20,000 and your premium is still $1669". And I was just like So pretty much, if I didn't ask for higher agreed value, they woulda given me $18,000 for the same premium that I'm paying....

That's correct, they are the East Bear ones. But the Rhdjapan is showing you the East Bear skirts but with a lower extension. It's kinda like the GTR skirts, and they have the option for a lower extension.

Yeah, I'm definitely going full comp, gonna pay by the month. Knowing that if anything happens to my car, I'll get $20,000 back is the key factor. Because I've already had an accident in this car before, almost 2 years ago, and I had to pay an excess of $1950 just to get the other person's car fixed, so I think it's worth it.

It has happened before... What you can do is either borrow a pair of non HID headlights to clear defect or get them converted to H1's.

I just bought a 12v reverse camera on eBay. I'm gonna draw power from the reverse light, so then everytime I put my car in reverse, the camera would power up, then I'll connect the RCA output to the Clarion loom that I got. But I'll have to manually push the TV button to see. I guess if it does get annoying, I'll find the C1, C2 lines as you mentioned, to make it auto switch Coz I guess I don't ALWAYS need the reverse cam EDIT: Also, should I hook the camera to another constant power source, but put a switch on that connection, just so I can switch on the camera and leave it on and watch it on the MFD and I can just switch it off and let it only come on when in reverse. OR should I just have the camera constantly on and just watch it on MFD whenever I press TV button?

Just to clear things up... Yes, I've got 3rd party fire & theft, but that's with Just Car and they ONLY cover up to $10,000 market value PLUS you gotta pay excess... Which means if my car gets stolen, and if they are kind enough to pay me the full $10,000, I'll end up walking away with like $8,000 or something after excess.. Where as, with Shannons, $20,000 agree value with NO theft excess.. Just Car is shit... I just got an online quote from them, $2,000 premium with $1850 excess for market value, THEN I adjusted the adJUST crap, made my excess to like $3,000, and even then, my premium woulda been $1,400 lol...

Hey guys, I know I'll probably cop a few words from you lot, but I need some convincing about switching to full comp insurance lol. I'm currently on 3rd party, fire & theft with Just Car paying $500 a year with a $2000 excess. But been thinking about switching to Shannons' full comp due to heaps of Skylines being stole lately lol. Shannons quoted me $1670 a year with a $900 excess for full comp, which works out to $140 a month with a $20,000 agreed value.. Which one should I choose?..

Yeah, it's a bit unfortunate that the lip doesn't match the rest of the bonnet, but I think I'll just leave my lip at home for now, until I get bored of the look xD

Sorry to bring up old thread, I got my hands on one of those Clarion cables, and gonna plug it into my MFD. I just wanna know, apart from DVD/video from the JVC HU, what else can I feed into that lead? Any reverse camera that has NTSC output? Or is there anyway to convert the MFD to PAL?
