Hey guys, Not sure where to post this but here it is. I've just bought a set of broken R34 headlights, with the intention of taking the factory ballasts and install it into my headlights. Because they've convert my current headlights to H1 and completely cut off the ballast wires. But after having a good look... I realised the factory HID ballast is inside the headlight... So my question is.. Is it possible to remove and install factory HIDs into my current headlights? I wouldn't have any problems with smashing the broken set and take the ballasts out, but how would I put it into my current one? lol Also, how come the high beam seem to have a ballast looking thing connected to it? Is the factory high beam HID too? Cheers!

Well.... Your car doesn't actually look THAT stock.... GTR front bar, black bonnet, custom sideskirts and rear pods And yes, the 4 levels switch is pretty cool, it amazes lots of my friends lol

Lol, it's hard to get pulled over BECAUSE of them... Most of the time that people get done is when they are already pulled over and cops just have nothing else on you, so they pick on your lights lol.

Pretty much whatever said. It's illegal because it doesn't level the lights by itself. Yes, although it's factory, but if factory items doesn't comply with Aus rules, they'd have to come out during compliance. It is also rare to get dicked for them, especially by vic roads lol. But to answer your question, there are no way to make them legal. That's why compliance converts them to H1 globes. If you want, for a bit of money, I can reconvert mine back to H1 and lend it to you to clear your defect. Also have a stock airbox too.

The spoiler is plastic right? Not fiberglass. Maybe plastic welding?

That spot is such a shit spot to turn, because when you look left, you can't see that far because there's a little hill, so if there's a car coming at 130km, you wouldn't see it coming at all. How ironic, there was a Supra in the background and then a silver Skyline driving pass lol

Well never mind about my idea lol. I doubt there are aftermarket weathershields, and even if there are, they'd be universial, so fitment will be crap lol Maybe just keep an eye out on for sale section, I've seen them go for $50-100 in the past.
