  7. It's vinyl with the carbon fibre look...
  8. Yeah, I've tried a really thin clear coat and it doesn't look that nice, it does lose a bit of the texture in certain lights. Yes, peeling can be a problem. But solutions to that is: - Don't stretch the material too much - Clean the surface of the part properly - Use adhesion promotor if needed PM Sent Sounds cool But how would that stuff go in wrapping some really difficult curves? Because you wouldn't be able to stretch it right? Anyway, I'll be interested to see and try it out Lemme know when you need me haha.
  9. Looks like I won't be the first one there anymore, as work hours has changed, but gonna come down in the afternoon Still deciding on the 3 year renewal Oh and if anyone wanna buy some 3M carbon fibre vinyl on the day, lemme know, I'll bring some down haha

  12. Well, I've asked a panel beater to clear coat my B pillars for me, but I just haven't had time to do it yet. But I think it will work and make it glossy, but you will definitely lose some of the CF texture from certain angles. But honestly, the vinyl itself can withstand all sorts of elements, I wrapped my B pillars a few months ago and its never garaged, been through 40+ degrees days and all sorts of storms and rain. And after a quick wipe, it looks just like how it looked on day one As for steering wheel, I'm actually not sure how you'd wrap one, but I'll have a look at mine tomorrow and get back to you lol.
  13. Hello In terms of equipments, you will definitely need a hair dryer or a heat gun, a sharp knife and a bucket loads of patient lol. Then you will probably need a squeegee or a bank card or something. As for brands, if you go back a couple of pages, someone mentioned Niffy Wrap, but I use 3M and I listed out the difference and pros/cons between the two and those two are probably the best CF lookalike around. I'll run through it quickly for you. Neffy = cloth, 3M = vinyl. Neffy = no adhesive backing, 3M = self-adhesive backing. Neffy = interior only (with no UV protection). 3M = indoor+outdoor with UV protection and guranteed to last 4 years outdoor and 12 years in door. Both have similar CF texture. As for where to buy it, you can easily find places that sells it on the internet, or even eBay. But a lot of them are from the US, so you'd have to pay a fair bit for postage. Or you can buy it from me, as I have some for sale 1.2m x 1m = $130 1.2m x 0.5m = $70 Can be posted or picked up. Postage will be $20 via registered+insured.
  14. Of course I've had problems with the heat, the more you stretch it, the more it would lift But I guess this is where experience and skills comes in I know exactly how much to stretch and bend so that it doesn't lift or bubble
