dont forget about 3k+ on top of that 8K for the fittings and inline filters, and that was with good trade pricing on speedflow fittings, would be up around 5k usually if paying retail prices.

What Do You Think This Is Worth To Sell...
unique1 replied to unique1's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
the offsets are +20 and 10" rims all round, i run a 5mm spacer on the rear to clear the struts as they rub otherwise. Rears stick out abit but look good none the less and fronts are spot on with 235 tyres on it. -
hey guys i dont use my modified stagea much these days and looking to purchase a house so im thinking of selling it but unsure what it is worth and if anyone would be interested in such a setup, or maybe its better to strip it back to stock and sell all the parts off? im not too fussed if i sell or not, i have had the car since 2004 (and been on theses stagea forums since then), it has undergone alot of changes in that time, and recently featured in Performance Imports magazine with the old setup it had. It is no where near as modified as it was in the magazine as i got a defect notice and decided to make it completely legal and put the modified engine into a track only gtr instead. The mod list is pretty long but here is the basics to give you an idea... rb30 bottom end, freshly rebuilt with new pistons (not forged but stronger than stock, they are called Endurotec and made by Precision), its got a crank collar on the crank, all assembly was washed, machined and balanced. Has done about 2000km so far. It has a gtr oil pump on it, brand new water pump, new tensioner and idler pulleys, new timing belt and all new seals, and hks drag metal head gasket 1.2mm. rb26 head is also recond and in as new condition with all standard rb26 gear. The block also has a "Pro Engines" 4wd sump adaptor kit fitted to allow for the gtr 4wd sump to be used. this is a copy and pasted list of the mods i can remember... stagea rs four s1 silver mods: rb30 rebuilt bottom end king bearings endurotec 86.5mm pistons hastings rings Proengines 4wd sump adaptor gtr 4wd sump setup rb26 head & plenum setup freshened up with new valve stem seals, redone valves, shims setup, deck etc hks drag 1.2mm metal head gasket hks drag metal intake and exhuast gaskets gt3076r turbo custom steam pipe manifold hks 50mm wastegate 3' dump pipe and exhuast with magnaflow muffler and an apexi centre muffler K&N pod filter custom alloy cooler piping and intake pipe custom metal oil and water lines gtr 5 speed manual box extreme single plate clutch 32 gtr diff and axles 33 gtr brembo rear brakes 34 gtr brembo front brakes dba 5000 alloy hat front slotted rotors dba 4000 rear slotted rotors custom adr approved braided brake lines r33 handbrake 4.11 front and rear diff ratios autronic smc ecu eboost 2 defi 3 din gauge setup whiteline springs all round bilstein shocks all round all noluthane bushes throughout front and rear arc front swaybar whiteline rear swaybar adjustable camber bushes nismo lmgt2 rims 18x10 dayz rear bumper lip nismo copy sideskirts thats about it i think lol. i have invested alot of money into the car over the years and only used top quality parts throughout. heres a couple of pics of the motor and car itself i have full engineer reports for all mods and engine conversion/brakes/etc, the only mod not approved is the single turbo, i can put stock rb26 twins back on it and take abit of money off the price and then its fully legal. The engine block is stamped as an rb26 so no worries as no one can tell its a rb30 at all, passed the inspections with no dramas. this is a pic with stock turbos on it and looks completely standard to the untrained eye. You can put some upgraded low mounts on it and make heaps of power without any issues with police etc. The current setup is only roadtuned but making around 350hp at wheels, and cam timing hasnt been touched yet so has alot more in it, and should make low 400s without any dramas or reliability issues at all. so what would you guys think it is worth?
-
top work Simon, very impressive result! how much do you think the engine mods owe you all up roughly?
-
11.3 actually with only 530hp at the time when i raced it +1 on the rest of the comments above, i think 420hp or so is max i would go for a daily, maybe 450hp but then you got to worry about gearboxes, clutches (if you go manual), axles and stuff like that.

Hey Guys, Thinking Of Buying A Stagea
unique1 replied to Run-It-Hard's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
1720kg mine weighed with manual rb26 in it. im tempted to sell mine too, but not sure at moment, its got all the good stuff already and plenty of mods. rb26 head on rb30 block (fresh rebuilt motor with sump adaptor so still 4wd), 5 speed, r34 brembos, bilstein coilovers, whiteline swaybars, all new whiteline bushes, single gt3076r turbo (making around 370hp at wheels at moment), external gate, gtr diffs and axles and 260rs cradle, nismo lmgt2 18x10 rims, autronic ecu, exhuast, etc etc, fully permited. Only problem is im in Perth lol. -
this thing has come along way since you got it, looks 100 times better, and should be a killer setup when complete!
-
yep i got the 26/30 in mine and it fits under the bonnet no probs, so i guess a 25 head with forward facing plenum would be the same.

hey mate what area you coming from? im down joondalup way and was planning on heading up reid/tonkin hwy. Dont mind meeting up on way and heading down, its a long drive on my own and no air con tempted to bring my other car instead as it does have air con lol. -
whats all this fighting going on lol, i dont get on here often anymore but have been a stagea owner and on these stagea forums since sept 2004 (probably one of the longest owned stageas on the forums) and it was always friendly and no bitch fights, what caused all this?

ill be in for a meetup but not Motorvation weekend as ill be there having a look and better to pick a weekend that everyone can go. Whats happening with your car Daniel? whats the new plans engine/turbo wise? -
sounds like a great idea, just the trouble of getting it all legal being such big capacity. I cant remember the exact rules for engine conversion in WA but worth checking out before going too far. I think keeping it NA might be fine but turbos etc would be not so easy.

Instead of starting a new topic i thought ill post the question in here.... how is everyones fuel economy with the rb26/30 and 25/30 setups? mine is using alot of fuel and cruise ratios are spot on 14.7 and even when babying it around im lucky to get 300km to a tank which is shocking. Im yet to get the cam timing spot on until it goes on the dyno but hoping this is the issue and it will get alot better. I am running 4.3 diff ratio which means its on 2700rpm on the freeway at 100kmh and with the 3076r on it, its just a touch of throttle from being on boost, im thinking maybe the turbo is abit small as well which doesnt help? So how many km's are you guys getting from a tank and what turbo are you running?

good topic Trent, i still havent worked out how to avoid static noise from pluging in my autronic cable to tune and the gizmo kmon cable at the same time on the same laptop as once the autronic is plugged in it just detects constant knocking and static noise. Have you had this drama before? I tried tuning with this and lost patience and just kept the engine real safe as i didnt know if it was detecting knock or just engine noise alot of the time. I also run an egt sensor in each runner as a way to keep everything even.

http://www.bosch.com.au/content/language1/...fuelfilters.pdf there all the different types and there is a bigger one to the one mentioned above, though i havent used any of them so cant comment on them personally. The biggest one the 0 405 905 601 is actually an OEM volvo part so making finding them easier going by these sites... http://www.partsgeek.com/mmparts/fuel_filter/volvo/245.html http://www.car-stuff.com/exclusives/volvo/...uel_filter.html Probably able to buy these at supercheap etc or repco if you know the model of car they come off.

well ive basically had what you are after 2.7L stroker, t04z (0.81) and in a stagea, it was pretty reasonable response but didnt have it on a 2.6l to compare. Just go the 3L i reckon and get a 4wd adaptor plate, u could build 2 of those engines for the price of one 2.8l stroker. You lose abit of revs but make up for it in response and the 1.0 housing will be laggy, i dont know what you want to do with the car but street drivin with a t04z on a 2.6L i would say is a waste, its too laggy for any smaller track work and pretty much save for that dogbox (10-15k alone) because the stocker wont last. edit... 40k wont go as far as you think either with bolt ons etc as well, the head will need a fair bit of work to get the most out of it. a built head with all the fruit is around 12k worth on its own with cams and valve gear complete and about 25k+ for the long motor without any bolt ons, 12k+ for the dogbox and thats 37k right there.

stock rb26 twins on this one to pass engineer gt3076r for some power i got a gt35 here now which might be going on this engine in the future
-
hey i ran 11.33 @ 124mph (1740kg car) on 235 nankangs didnt grip as good as i liked but saved breaking things as well.
-
11.33 @ 124mph on street tyres and full weight (1740kg + driver roughly) Im tempted to test out the new setup (26/30 and 3076r turbo) but clutch doesnt like the power at moment, so until i swap it i wont be seeing any drags, plus i got a bigger turbo (gt35 1.06 twin scroll t4 flange) to go on too if i can be bothered swapping it over.
-
yep those 2 are the ones i would reccomend.
-
get on the yank car forums for most models and even the biggest budget buildups are using 2 or 3 or even 4 walbro setups, they seem to think they are fine and making big power. Ive never read a bad word about them on those forums and its the most common used pump for those platforms. Ive seen in person one pump make 440rwhp on a 3l turbo engine without drama and still going strong 4+ years later.
-
take a photo of the clutch master in the engine bay and the recessed part in the firewall it sits in, this is different from a rs4 and autech, the autech is reccessed in 40mm from memory and the rs4 isnt. I suppose this can be changed over also but worth a check to see if it looks factory.
