i spotted one of the members stageas on here (cant remember the username). s1 white with r34 gtr rims and its got the rb26 in it from memory. I spotted it at the burnout show today on a local property, pity he didnt have a go on the skidpad this is in perth BTW and the skidpad was in back of Wanneroo area

pretty simple question as im lookin at getting an alloy radiator and was wondering if one for a gtr would fit the stagea without any fitment problems?

Hey Mr Meth (Simon is it?) that looks awesome, whats the 100 braided lines around the plenum for? the twin fuel coolers i suppose? definately not a cheap exercise with braided lines everywhere, but looks mint your stagea is definately the hottest and most completely modified one ive seen with that nice red paint, volk rims, monster stereo and killer engine it will win all the shows for sure i bet on it what ecu are u running? i slightly recall a fcon pro V is what u used on the old setup? what power (at the wheels) did the last motor end up at and what boost? where abouts do u plumb your turbo water lines into on the motor? cheers

hey mate i been busy and keeping a low profile on forums i get in trouble if i open my gob hahah heres 2 pics from last time it was together... should be all finished the same time as mr meth here as its totally assembled with the new goodies and just has to go back in the car now and the run in is started again sorry for the slight hijack pure meth hope it all goes well for ya i know the feeling of motors melting pistons p.s. those volk gtc's are damnnnnn hottt

i dont know about 260rs, but i know the stagea rs4 with a gtr diff needs longer axles a long side from a gts4 fits the short side of the stagea and u need a long side of a gts4 for the long side of the stagea but it needs to be lengthened 40mm to fit.

:laughing-smiley-014: i dont feel the lag if u launch hard with enough revs (8000rpm or so lol)
-
thanks Cyrus atleast someone remembers me around here very nice looks almost exactly same specs as alot of my parts n1 block, billet crank and hks t04z i have added a few goodies this time again so it will be good to see how much u can get out of the t04z. My previous quick tune on 22psi managed 605hp at wheels (on pump fuel) before the current changes. I dont think the t04z will go too 700hp at wheels but im gonna try is the crank stock capacity or does it have extra stroke? i would be putting on an ATI 1000hp balancer too for safety. Also with a nismo oil pump i'd upgrade the sump capacity and fit a rear oil drain to the head.

Hey Dale its me again the slow arse buyer u said u would sell the passenger side raingaurd thing to Im sorry i havent been able to come up and grab it but i been soooooo busy and u dont exactly live 5 min away either lol. So i guess this ad means u dont want to sell it to me? I dont care if u dont, i understand ive waited too long but its worth a try and i can try and make it up sometime and grab it, ill put the money into your account if u like. arhh well enough rambling mate p.s i had some other bits and peices i was after too if u plan on seperating the car (mainly interior trims, passenger window switch etc) cheers -
Hey Mitchy we can make it a rare imports car cruise when u get yours as well
-
Hey Gun as wildcat said, skylines are welcome and u would be surprised how many stageas there are, i think we had about 10-15 cars on the last couple of cruises from memory so its not bad, not 100+ cars like a skyline cruise i must admit but its better with not a huge amount of people so u can have a chat with everyone etc.
-
i might show up this time and represent the old skool crew (the few that are left anyway) and possibly might have the stagea running by then but more than likely ill be pushing for 11th nov, so ill bring the gto again.
-
haha Ken what makes it abit of a dog? heavy clutch? too noisy? stiff suspension? i find mine is definately not daily driver material with the twin plate clutch, lumpy cams, noisy exhuast (need another muffler) and stiff suspension is even annoying at times lol. Dont u love it how when u start modifying that u assume a 500rwhp car could be a nice smooth comfortable daily cruiser without any negative aspects I love my stagea but it gets abit much at times when u just want to cruise around in comfort and not create shit loads of attention for the wrong reasons haha (for sounding like a hoon)

The attessa can be run by any ecu easy, all it needs is the TPS wire split into 2 and one goto the ecu and the other to the wire than runs to the rear attessa ecu to give it the tps signal. 4wd will work perfectly this works on haltech, autronics, wolf, etc. I have done it and it works perfectly. ill find the colour of the wire that u need to connect the tps signal too and post it on the forums for future reference

Hey Yudy its the attessa hydraulic actuator it presses the 4wd clutch packs when its supplied pressure from the attessa pump above the rear diff by pushing fluid through the line u see screwed into the back of the actuator. Is it leaking from the line or between the actuator and the tf case? i cant remember if the unit has a gasket between it and the tf case, if so then its obviously stuffed and u need a new one (if its leaking from there)

Hey Dave for 250awkw u are gonna need a bigger turbo, something like a gt3040r is a good start and capable of 450rwhp or so if u ever want more. I would upgrade the suspension firstly as the stock ride is soft and boaty I would go a 260rs if u could afford it, but dont buy one if u are in the lower $$$ market of 260rs's or u might end up with a peice of shit. A rs4 manual is still a good buy and comes with the stronger gtr rear end, etc. I thought my rs four was abit sluggish but i went from 350rwhp vl calais to the stagea and it felt smooth but abit slow. I definately feel the extra weight in the stagea when accelerating (unlike the gto) but cornering wise with the stagea and the sydneykid coilovers it handles awesome compared to my gto with tein flex coilovers. overall the stagea is a great car for the money
-
Hey Dave its Brad here from 3si forums, i got a stagea and they are a great car for smoothness and room, go a manual for sure, the auto is not very fun. They need a bit of work to match the 272awkw of the gto though good luck in your hunt for one and give me a PM if u need any help with stageas as ive done a fair bit to mine over the last 3 years
-
yudy has a rb26 remember so things are different compared to the 25 soleniod etc. Also i agree that those AFR's are right on the limit and i would never risk running 12.5:1 on a daily basis without constant checks of the tune. 11.8-12.0:1 is the leanest i would personally go for a safety margin if u get a bad batch of fuel etc. just my 2c worth (i know racepace are great but i would of told them to richen it up abit more for safety)
-
this is an awesome car Dave i would buy it for sure if i didnt already have a gto myself trust me guys these cars pull more looks than any single skyline will i can bet on that (r34 gtr included), they are absolute head turners and they are very very underestimated in the performance scene. I personally like my gto better than my 600hp skyline because its just soo unique and i always get comments on the looks and has a very very torquey engine unlike the rb26s are known for. This car would be capable of high 11 sec 1/4 mile time for sure with that power and mods. this is Ozgto from the 3si forums if ya wondering as well Dave good luck on the sale

HAHAHA yudy it was meant to be a serious post :laughing-smiley-014:

the attessa fluid bottle in the boot has nothing what so ever to do with the oil in the transfer case its totally seperate. The attessa fluid bottle is for the hydraulic actuator pump that is on the rear of the box (as STASIS is talking about above), it just pressures the actuator when the attessa ecu says so. The transfer case has its own oil, its the same type of oil as the attessa bottle but the attessa bottle in no way shows how full the transfer case is. running no 4wd while the tf case has oil in it will not cause an issue at all as long as the actuator has the air bleed off to release the pressure onto the clutch packs.
-
low mount turbos will be no issue and i only see big lumpy cams or aftermarket ecu as possible issues when going over pits in WA. The ecu is ok as long as the pits dont see it and u dont mention it has one
-
Yes the rb30 will make more torque but is it worth the hassle/cost to do when u wont have that much of a gain in performance, and im not sure the auto box would like the added torque at all, but as i said its just my opinion. Its the 4wd side of things that make it harder, in a 2wd car its simple. Convert the stagea to 2wd and use a rb25 sump and gtst 5 speed box and u will have no issues with a 30 bottom end and lose some weight as the tranfer case and front sump/diff/axles are bloody heavy buggers
-
im not a newbie on here remember i have probably pulled my stagea to bits and back together more than any stagea owner in the country by now and have pulled apart the transfer cases of gtrs and the stagea auto ones and compared them. i dont post on here much anymore but i dont mind helping out the regulars with problems as i know the feeling when trying to find info on these cars

the rb26 bolt holes are studs and bolts which are heaps bigger and stronger (about m12-14 roughly) than the rb30 m8 bolts, they support the sump and front driveshafts remember and i wouldnt trust m8 bolts holding that heavy diff/sump setup personally. The adaptors join the sump adaptor to the girdle bolts and tie it into the block to strengthen it all up, and i think they tap bigger threads to use larger bolts but not 100% sure on that. for the power u would make on 10psi i wouldnt even bother with the rb30 idea its simply not worth it when u factor in all the custom work and hassles involved, buts that upto you
-
The rb25 block in the stagea is not the same as the r33 gtst ones at all, the stagea ones have the 4wd sump bolt holes and the 2wd holes, but the gtst ones only have the 2wd sump holes. If u are going rb30 bottom end in the stagea u will need the adaptor plate that they use for rb30s into gtr's (the stagea sump is a gtr sump) and they are about $500 and require a fair bit of machine work to fit from what ive been told.
