  1. thankyou Duncan i wouldnt make a comment if i didnt know what i was talking about
  2. auto tf case wont work as it doesnt have the shifter hole and is abit different inside strength wise with the clutch packs, its easier to use another gtr one.
  3. yes i agree, use hoseclamps instead of zipties if you can, and the 044 or 040 will fit no worries i posted a pic or two in one of the other threads on the subject (i think the thread was about the 040 pump) so search and you will see how well it fits in the cradle. Wiring is simple as said and finding the grommet is simple because the hole is huge and under the foot area on the drivers side closest to the accelerator.
  4. Hey Leshy sorry to hear you are selling up mate, as u said i think u were one of the first people on the forums with a stagea along with me and a couple of others in mid 2004, good luck in whatever you get mate. cheers Brad (Stagezilla, Cruiseliner)
  5. yep i agree i have a relocation kit on my rb26 and its sooo damn easy to change the filter and not a drip of oil gets anywhere
  6. hey Mitchy have u got that mini GTO wagon of yours yet???
  7. im waiting for someone to do an audio install with coffin and stuff at a car show, im sure it will happen soon enough, couple of 12' subs mounted in a coffin shaped box lol
  8. dont forget with brembo brakes i dont know if 16s will fit and clear the calipers/rotors???? just a heads up to save some hassle
  9. heres a pic of it (its the big blue thing on the plenum side of the motor). this pic is with a 2wd sump on, but with the 4wd sump on its hard to see from underneath as it sits directly above the front diff housing and when u dump the filter off its gonna spew oil everywhere so sit some rags on the top of the diff housing to soak up the oil.
  10. Hey Grant have u done any drifting in your stagea yet? i want to see some footage of stageas drifting (besides the 1jz one on youtube), i'd love to give it a go when my engine is finished for a laugh and see how it goes. I got the power and rock hard suspension so should be alright, and people reckon long wheelbase cars are easier to slide and control
  11. brand new unopened rear camber bushes from Whiteline, same as sold in Sydneykids group buys, they are usually $128 will sell for $80 + delivery (around $10 max). im from Perth but postage is not a problem
  12. no worries Grant i must admit i havent been regulary visiting the stagea forums for a fair while and only knew bits and pieces (and heard u sold it at one stage). Ive been on these forums since the first couple of stagea owners and i think terminal is one of the longest members on here still with his car, the rest have sold up and moved on. I joined way back in october 04 and had the car for 2 weeks before i did the rb26 conversion and the snowball has gone from there. Ive had many usernames over the time due to the moderators in another section and some workshop issues but thats all in the past and they dont want to let me forget it lol. jasevr4 i thought forums were about having opinions? sorry if i dont read this forum like a bible and know every single millimetre of detail
  13. yes i remember him saying it was sold also???
  14. i read your post again and it does sound pretty silly, u think u are the only one who bought it to be a high performance car. How about spend less on visual/show parts and buy some engine mods. You mean u want yours to "look" like a high performance car. Ive spent about 4 times the price of my stagea again on performance mods and havent even touched the rims or any bodykits or stuff that doesnt make it faster, or perform better. RBNT and rb26stagea have done the same so i dont know how u can think your lightly modded rb25 is the only performance built stagea. i agree with rb26stagea your opinions do come across as confrontational i hope this doesnt offend im just stating my opinion
  15. yokotas13 how many performance mods did your stagea have and power? i didnt think it was anything over the top was it? I prefer to do it different to the usual gtr crowd and try things that people say "oh that wont work, too heavy, wagon blah blah". Ill be giving the stagea a go around the racetrack and see how good it is, it handles really really good for a heavy wagon thats for sure.
  16. ive done a search of the forums and plenty of info on how to put them in, etc but nothing on where to purchase a set of 24? i got a price from nissan which works out $250 for the set (at trade price too). so is there anywhere else that sells them that are still good quality but abit cheaper? and whats the going price for a set?
  17. nice info Roy thanks alot, i was asking the size more for trying to judge wheel clearance issues than the actual functioning of the calipers
  18. sorry if this has been answered but would these bolt straight onto a r33/34 gtr 330mm rotor and hub without needing custom brackets? How much bigger are they compared to the 33 brembos in overall size (not the piston size but the outside caliper size)?
  19. HAHA cy mate i was just kidding in my post, i think thats what JK means
  20. im 24 and had mine for 3 years almost, but i know most the people with them are older with kids, etc (35+) i also have no kids, and did have a dog when i bought it which was one reason i got it. I love the skyline power without the cop/theif hassles of owning a skyline
  21. hahah, atleast mines a turbo starter motor jk mate
  22. i got an auto starter motor from my stagea (series 1) and it worked fine when i took it off, im in Perth and ill take $100 for it, gimme a pm if you want more info. im willing to give you your money back if it doesnt work as well (as its been sitting for a while in my garage)
  23. buy an apexi itc and u can adjust timing and adjust fuel with the safc checkout some US sites with supras/gtos and the like and they are making 500-600hp at wheels with afcs and even one running high 9s with just the afc. They also turn the fuel pressure down a fraction with an adjustable fuel reg so they dont have to pull soo much fuel out of the tune and affect the timing numbers too much. Its a bandaid fix i know but if it works and they all do it then it must be pretty safe. My mates 7m is making 440rwhp with a safc and 550cc injectors and no timing control and has lasted 2 years no problem. now im not saying power fc isnt worth it, i think if u get rid of the piggyback bits the ecu wont be that much more and so much easier to use but dont rule out the safc's.
  24. i paid $195au from www.precisionshims.com.au for the set of 24, i run jun cams and had same issues, the jun specs reccomend 0.30mm and 0.33mm clearance unlike the stock nissan clearances which are much bigger. that shop sells the shims at custom sizes u just order the thickness and diameter u need. i think from memory the rb26 are 12mm in diameter. Just tell him they are for a rb26 and he should know the details, and u just specify thickness u need. Order them a touch bigger and grind them down to suit each one to get them exact rather than trying to order exact thicknesses straight from the shop.
  25. the aussie delivered gtr's come factory with an attessa oil cooler actually but i doubt it would be enough. The clutch packs for the front wheel drive wouldnt even pull a car off a dyno roller from my experience without smoking them badly so trying to pull a car through sand is gonna be worse imo.
