  1. Learning something new. Thank you guys! I am still amazed though that there could not be more variation between years, or is it a Japanese trend in manufacturing to have a longer period between revisions/minor tweaks? Anything more?
  2. I have not been able to find a resource or thread that briefly describes what small things were changed/improved from year to year for the R34. Now this is on a presumption that things were changed from year to year. As an example a slight body tweak or something that was an option one year became standard. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I may find this information? Cheers! -Alex
  3. If anyone is wrecking their car or has a spare factory jack for sale then that would be fantastic. Cheers! -Alex
  4. I have just purchased a new set of chrome rims. Prior to this I had magnesium rims so they were fairly resiliant to the elements. What are some suggested products to protect and clean chrome? Suggestions? Is it worthwhile buying some VHT wheel clear coat and spraying it over the top to protect? Any experiences? Cheers! -Alex
  5. funkymonkey, Mate when you say centre cap could it be the same as what I was talking about before... the dust cover that covers all the nuts. Ie. the disc that goes over the top. I am trying to find a black Rays one with a cursive "R" in the centre. -Alex
  6. I am sorry to hi jack the thread a bit Driver but I haven't heard Rays wheels mentioned for a while. In particular I am looking for a Rays mag wheel cover (Looks like a cursive 'R' on a black background that covers the nuts. Do you guys have any ideas? Is Stamford Tyres (being the official distributor) worth trying? Cheers again and apologies Driver. -Alex
  7. Bit of a stupid question but just wanted to get some opinions. What I am trying to find out is that, all ride heights kept the same, would reverting back to stock standard suspension make the front bar drop lower when coming in/out of driveways then that of my current coilovers. Ie. Because they may be softer the weight distribution would change so that the front bar may scrape more often/readily. Currently I have a set of Mayron coilovers installed in my r33. Occassionally I scrape the front bar coming out, going in to driveways... even having taken it slowly at an angle. Haven't done it for a while which is good as I have had my front bar repsrayed recently. Cheers! -Alex
  8. sdm33, Mate did you have the job done recently by Northfield. I went there recently asking about a simple sound setup for a Skyline and they mentioned that they had recently done one that sounds similar to yours. Did they do a good job by chance? Cheers! -Alex
  9. This is something I have never thought of. For years I have been meaning to build a decent carputer system. This just may be the solution. Out of curiousity are you guys still using an inverter, dc-dc converter or does the xbox itself take 12V. How does it go with cranking? How is everyone controlling it etc. I am going to have to explore the issue more on mp3.com but I am curious about everyone's experiences here. -Alex
  10. Out of curiousity, from the way that I understand it in QLD (and possibly the other states) it is illegal to view tv via an a/v display if the handbrake isn't on. But is it still illegal to have the a/v display on if it is your only way of selecting songs etc (ie. one of those single din all in one units)? Furthermore, what is the fine/points for such an offence? Cheers guys! -Alex
  11. I have to say that I like the idea of the dome headed screws. But honestly I prefer the idea that mind flux suggested - a "bash plate" Mindflux - any tips or suggestions? -Alex
  12. A friend of mine came up with a simple smart suggestion for protecting the bottom of the front bar from scraping (besides angles on driveways). By tracing the shape of the bottom of the front bar on to a piece of cardboard and then having the same shape cut out of sheet metal, this could then be bottled on to the bottom. The only problem I could see is too recess the front edge back a few mm so that you don't take out pedestrians legs (or possibly be defected). Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas for improving this simple idea? Any ideas on the shape etc to improve it from being just a protection plate, to maybe something that could be a little more sturdy. Cheers! -Alex
  13. Out of curiousity (as I am having a similar problem) where are the two o2 sensors exactly located? -Alex
