Didnt have the room to have a pos skiddy lying around and then have the trouble of tryna get rid of a non rolling shell, had I been back in NZ I would have coz you can pick em up for a few hundred minus the engine and box, doesn't seem that way over here. and in case you didnt realise the last few lines of the post you quoted were over exagerrated, just a little. What I was meaning by it is you can add up everything you think an engine conversion will cost, and by the time you finish you would have spent twice that, as the old rule goes you add everything up you THINK it will cost and triple it. Yea sure you can do things on the cheap but I don't like to get something done, and then next weekend pull it all apart again to replace something that should have been replaced the first time round. -

The main reason I got the 180 is because of the first two points you stated, No ABS, IMO if you need ABS to not lock up you should not be driving, same goes for traction control, if you cant control the power you have, dont drive a powerful car, my 180 has vct, and the 180s do have adjustable intermittence and also digital cc. -

dont need but would recommend 5 stud all round for the bigger brakes and wheel fitment, but like I said not a requirement, can use r33 rear hubs with handbrake setup and r33 cable, s14 front hubs and lcas (widens track a little though) with skyline brakes all round, just for a bit of wank factor, r32/A31 crossmember, r32 steel engine mount brackets I slotted mine so engine sat right back and as low as poss as bonnet hits throttlebody, gearbox yoke off skiddy, bigger radiator, couple of 12" thermos and get rid of A/C...I could keep mine cool with a/c but couldnt use it at all, much better now that its gone. also need to make up a gearbox crossmember...pretty easy really just probably will have a few teething issues. Thats just off top of my head, been a year or so since I done mine, plenty of threads already on it though so a search should turn up some stuff, on here or nissansilvia (although ns doesnt seem to have very good info on it, full of f**kheads) as for price try and add up all parts prices are gold coast prices mount brackets $100 per side crossmember $250 rear hubs and adapter for cable $330 front hubs lcas approx $200 I think I got them for R32 GTR brakes were $700 if you get new rotors DBA ones are $770 all round add like 3k for all the little things you forgot about add a couple of k for more things forgot about lol Then double it and that will be how much it will cost -

Well wasnt quite sure what the 180 weight was, jus feels alot lighter handling wise, must just be the better chassis, yea my vl was about 1300 but had alot higher gearing in it so that would explain the motor sounding like it was working. 3.08 diff ratio 2nd tapped out at 137, 180 feels a little low geared, gets up to 200 quick smart but feels like it doesnt want to do much after that -

With a set of coils all round and cambered fronts theres no sacrifice in handling, but my rb is as far back as possible that would help a bit, but handles just as good as with the chatty ca in it. yea they do go wicked too, I had my neo in a VL first and it flew but the engine sounded like it was working, in the 180 the 6 doesn't feel the weight of the car at all. and the sound....need I say more -

havent driven an sr 180, but have driven a stock sr s14 and they go pretty good, nowhere near as good as an rb 180 or s14 though. cough"have one for sale" cough -
$12500 TXT 0435509050 as I dont get service at home. Selling as I will be a student as of the start of Feb and wont have the money to keep both cars on the road. WILL NOT COME WITH STEREO I have for sale my 91 180. I have owned it since 2008 when it was an auto CA18. Since then I put my Neo engine in that I have owned since it had 50000km on the clock, it now has 90-95k, and has been serviced by me EVERY 5k. Already had 100k Service Body has 86k on the clock. All engineered and road legal Reg runs out at the end of Jan will come with plates and roadworthy. Pics are a few months old so have tidied up wiring around battery a little, still a little bit of tidying to do, and has had new tint put on a little darker It has: Gates Racing timing belt, idler, tensioner and Genuine Nissan R34 water pump and front 3 oil seals 6k ago. PWR 44mm Rad. with a 10" and 12" SPAL thermo 12Mths old Front mount with custom alloy piping R33 5 speed with approx. 72k Tein coilovers all round R32 gtr brakes all round r33 bm44 Master cylinder 5 stud conversion with s14 hubs, knuckles and lca, and r33 rear. r33 stockies with decent rubber Genuine HKS SSQV Momo steering wheel blitz boost controller never run over 11psi. cheap turbo timer but does the trick. 52mm water temp,boost gauge and taco, taco not hooked up as real drivers dont need one! (stock taco works but reads 1/3 more, and stock speedo works but reads half as much, does come with jaycar corrector just not installed). Ultra lightweight chromoly flywheel with exedy clutch plate and heavy duty pressure plate. Bosch fuel pump 040/044 whichever is the intank. Kouki light conversion 3 inch exhaust turbo back HUD works Oil catch can There is probably more but thats all I can think of at the moment The bad, Clear is fading on the roof last owners bog holes from spoiler are lifting kouki taillight trim isn't paint matched one rather long crack on the dash above cluster. Have been quoted 550 to repair bog in the boot, paint match hatch and kouki lights abd paint roof black. Will swap for road bike no smaller than 600 + cash my way depending on whats on offer
