  1. I can't put the finger on the exact problem. But I had a similar thing happen to me. All I needed to do was tighten my pod filter piping and clean my pod filters. Solved my problem but I'm not sure if my solution will solve your problem. I would take it to your local performance centre ASAP to better diagnose your problem. Best of luck!
  2. HAHAHA Well said! Depends who you go through to get the car I suppose. I am happy with all the cars I have got so far.
  3. 3 more pics added
  4. infected flow what’s with the attitude? I was not being rude when I suggested that I will purchase one for $1500 and I was willing to give you a further $100 for sourcing me one. You have come on someone else’s post and made a big statement. Without any proof! You can get an ARC M105 core for $1500 do you realize how much money you can make running a group buy. If your story is true I certainly will be trying to organize a group buy! That being said, I publicly apologize to dori180 if I have hijacked this thread. I believe that the price you are asking is reasonable and I wish you all the best for a quick sale. infected flow if you have a problem with what I have said please PM me and if you do want to make some money on the side by selling some M105 cores drop me a line too.
  5. I too will give you $1600 for an original ARC M105. Maybe you can run a group buy for all of us, I'm sure for that price you will have a fair few takers!
  6. I agree with the guys here! But if you are really really really really really really really really desperate try Amberly. But seriously as the guys before me said keep your car standard as possible and gain some experience on the road. We don’t want to hear another news report of another young guy wrapping himself around a pole. I know you are probably thinking that we are being very negative but understand, the last thing we want to hear is that one of our members has become a statistic.
  7. Good question Roy! Here are some graphs from HKS. The turbo was fitted on a R32 GTR with 272 IN/EX cams. But I would go the HKS T04Z over the Trust T78!

  12. daemon667, the cooler is not a GTR replacement and I'm not too sure about the HP rating either. However I might have something more suited for your application. PM SENT

  14. I thought it would be obvious by now........RACEPACE
  15. With the RB 25/30 or 26/30 conversion wont you have bonnet clearance issues? HAHAHAH! You beat me to it Abo Bob! And I totally agree with you.
  16. Why would you swap a SR20 for a RB26? Do you know how cheap it is to modify a SR20? A 2.2ltr bottom end costs around $4-5K and the prices for other parts are far less expensive compared to similar RB26 components.
  17. Lets support our sponsors/donators contact Tarek from RACESPEC; details below. Mob: +61 401 313 163 Fax: +61 8 8359 7953 Web: www.racespec.com.au [email protected] RACESPEC do these units for $1775 delivered.
  18. Assuming you buy a GTR that is mechanically sound in the first place I would get these parts: 1. Full Exhaust System 2. Pod filters or ARC air box 3. Front mount intercooler 4. Boost controller If you have more cash to spend, 5. Power FC 6. Maybe consider turbo upgrade however steel wheeling your standard turbo's is good too. Also, take it to a good tuner!
  19. Racepace is #1 for skylines in Victoria. Ben knows his stuff.
  20. I think a lot more people are recently posting these questions about the GT30 and 35 units because they are at such a good price. Maybe it would be worthwhile making one such thread that covers both these turbos sticky. I think R31Nismoid is on the money suggesting the GT3040 unit. I think the .82 housing is the way to go for your set up. But if you don’t mind a bit of lag the GT35R is not so bad either. On an old post on this forum someone stated that a GT3040R with 1.06 housing performs the same at the GT35R with the .82 housing. Maybe do a search and have a read as there is a wealth of info on here. Turbo specs: GT3040R comes in .63, .82, 1.06 housings and is rated between 500-600hp GT35R also comes in .63, .82, 1.06 housings and is rated between 600-700hp And dude, that is one wide body skyline!
  21. Thanks for the info OBES. Just to clear everything up. Only one turbo needs a recondition the other turbo is as good as new.
  22. My thoughts! Well with the petrol prices rising and people’s wages staying the same. I believe we are heading in to a recession. I also predict in the next few years Australia along with the coalition of the willing will be involved in a war against Iran. This will cause major hikes in oil prices. I think this is the start of something worse to come.
