  1. you should be able to use the headlight 12v and just connect the negative wire off the neons to a ground point, put the switch on the 12v wire you ran to the neon tube and away you go. if the switch is off (effectively stopping the power) the neons will be off, but if the switch is on, the neons will only work when you have your headlights on.
  2. i think if you can tint it amber it would also be a good idea to tint the red a little darker, might take away from that crystal look and make it seem a little closer to stock, till you hit the brakes!
  3. im a bit biased but i love black on black, so some black gt-c's with the silver lip (which would be a similar look to what you have now) would look hot, There are a lot of fans of the impul kit out there, i like the impul side skirts, but think maybe a top secret front bar and possibly a do-luck rear, or even do-luck skirts and rear with a top secret front bar, either gtt or gtr style
  4. not too bad, although probably a little yellow for me
  5. there is a group buy for some nice lookin custom covers, a little over $100, could be around $145ish if im not mistake, but definatly look good, check out the groupbuy section of the classifieds
  6. it might be a good idea to list the details of your car, ie auto/manual, gtt/gt/gt4 etc
  7. Honestly bud, It would look terrible if you were to just paint over it, not to mention do you really want to use spray paint inside your car? It's not at all technical, it just sounds like it, but really, it should take you no more than 5-10mins at the very most to remove all of the centre console section, the doors are a little bit trickier and require a bit of fiddling around, but i think its worth it. But i definatly would not recommend spraying the parts without pulling them out and just scouring them with some metho (again, that is also very simple to do)
  8. search for 'shitty r34 interior' or something like that, there is a large thread covering this. - pull out the ashtray and remove the screw behind it - remove gear knob by unscrewing it - pull up the gear stick surround, (there are small clips holding it, just pull gently upward - remove the wire harnesses going into the back of the cig lighter. - wrap a flat screw driver with a thin cloth and pry out the a/c vents from either side of the centre console surrounds (dont be scared this part is simpler than it sounds) - undo the 2 screws that were behind the gear stick surround near the ashtray/ cig lighter - undo the 2 screws you revealed from removing the a/c vents you now have access to the cage holding the a/c unit and headunit 4 screws hold the remaining piece of fascia around the a/c unit and headunit that can be unscrewed from behind the cage If you have a triple gauge cluster, there are 2 screws that hold that in from the front, which were also revealed when removing the a/c vents, unscrew these and the unclip the wiring harnesses and you can now take off the cluster. to access the plastics around the window controls on either door you need to remove both door skins by unscrewing all of the screws holding it in and the pulling on them gently to pop out the clips holding the skins on from the inside. don't pull too hard as you then need to lift the door skin upward to get the top section out from where the window slides down. Finally you unclip the wiring harnesses running behind the door skin to the window controls on the door skin. You can then take the door skin completely off and unscrew and screws and pop out the small clips holding on the plastic surrounds, take your time to make sure you don't snap any. After all that, have fun spraying, and do all of this in reverse order to refit.
  9. search 'R34 interior' or 'shitty r34 interior paint' or something along those lines, there is a huge thread in the cosmetic and styling mods section that covers how to re-spray the interior trim of an r34, and any other model for that matter, its quite straight forward. Simply pull out the parts you want to spray use a scourer and some metho to scrub off the soft peeling shitty paint, spray it with some plastic primer once dry (autobarn/supercheap sell this no more than $15-20), let that dry and then spray the colour of your choice (also avail at autobarn/super cheap and also no more than $15-20)
  10. yup, that is a c-west kit
  11. could be your boost sender unit, (little black box like thing on the drivers side near the fire wall, has a vac line and a plug with wires running to it) there is a thread around somewhere about how the 3 solder joints inside it can come loose and cause the gauge to drop out. My gauge does this on and off, works sometimes, then other times just sits on the needle at the bottom, haven't gotten around to opening up the unit as the cap is extremely brittle on mine (cracked it twice!!) i might just rip the cap off and then electrical tape it on neatly once ive fiddled with it. Do a search for boost sender unit or the likes, there should be a few threads regarding this
  12. great little unit, got one in my 34, gl with sale. might pay to list its features for prospective buyers... ie: bluetooth, usb hardrive compatible, mp3/dvd playback... etc
  13. thats not a bad idea, but i wouldn't have a clue if it is possible without some kind of modification, keen to see someone try it out lol
  14. JJR have great prices on exhaust parts, around $175ish for a Catco Hi flow cat $180 for a bellmouth 3" front/dump pipe or $100 for a split dump 3" just a few figures to give you an idea
  15. the ones i watched i ran off a usb on the ps3 if that helps
  16. it is a top secret bar, that is the top secret bar for the GTT
  17. Hey bud, for the time being id like to weigh up options in brisbane as i know shipping isn't cheap, but ill let you know, Thanks
  18. bump,
  19. first tip, if you drift the first right hand corner, and then drive straight through without sliding and then drift the next right hand corner, you will lose any points you think you're going to score. Simply, if you drift a right corner twice without a left drift in between, it minus's points, same thing if you drift two lefts in a row, the second drift minus's points. Secondly, when you reach the right hand corner up the top right, drift around it and over the grass in a circle, if you can hold the drift steady you can do 2-3 laps and knock up a decent score whilst still maintaining a decent time
  20. top score of 244 794, global rank of 3481
  21. ah fark this, i have to do it, i think ill start a league, if you want in, post your email, or pm it to me, ill wait 24 hrs before i start it up to give people time to add to the list, the max is 14 people, get in quick, then you can prove your scores to each other!
  22. i would also like to hear more opinions on this, or some measurements from people who have them, i have been told also that it should fit just fine with maybe slight mods to hanger positions.
