i'd say look into gettin the ones with a dual hinge, that can open either up or normal, but only one at a time, i dont know a lot about them myself but have heard it has been done successfully, though it may be significantly more expensive, i think they look hot, was thinking of getting them myself for my R34, just not too keen on what the police will say if i get pulled over and asked to step out of the vehicle? mayb climb thru the window... in any case they look sweet, and if lambo can do it, why cant nissan (and if u got ur P's in qld b4 the 1st of july, u dont have to wear the P plates ) awesomness

Hey all, just wanting to get some opinions when its best to have a second battery to run your system, ie what components you can run comfortably using the single battery before it becomes a problem, also, what would it cost to get a second battery installed somewhere (roughly)(chris?) and what components you would run off each battery, say the head unit and speakers off the main battery and the subs and amps from the secondary? or something like that. Lovin my GT-t, id' like an R34 GTR one day, but i dont wish my current ride was it, i think theres no point in wishing cos no amount of wishing will turn it into one over night, but you can hope that down the track youll get one? and if u want it bad enough, youll get it

Hey guys, i got my stock 98' R34 Gt-t a major service a few weeks back as i hadn't taken it in for one since i bought it (only 2 months) and included in the service was a dyno run, now i was under the impression that a stock R34 would put out 206kW, my print out shows it maxing out at 159.7kW at about 170km/h in 4th gear It was running with Caltex Vortex 98 petrol and would have had the oil change to Castrol Edge 0w40 It also has a Walbro 255l/hr fuel pump if that makes a difference, (i guess its not 100% stock) Is this anywhere near correct or should i be taking it somewhere else for another dyno run to confirm? any thoughts would be appreciated Steve

i agree to an extent though it does look kinda cool, reminds me of the gtr in 2 fast 2 furious, but that had neons all over the joint, tubes showin evrywhere, have the cops ever hassled u about those in the center?

Any1 ever find themselves stuck behind sum stupid ass drivin in the right of 2 lanes doin under the speed limit that seems to be purposely sittin right next to the car in the left lane, makin it impossible to over take to do at least the limit? Happened to me tonite, some fool in a falcon (not evn a performance model) was admittedly i decided to get close (not so close as id put ma pride an joy in danger) but still a bit closer, to try and give the hint, but they just wouldnt move, finally the car in the left slows evn more so i quickly jump into the left to overtake and shake my head as im sure most would whilst passing. What do the fools in the falcon do? pull into the further right lane and speed up mind u and we come to a stop at the lights, then of course the 'sik kent' in the passenger seat sits there staring me down, not evn movin, and then as the light goes green i get the finger as they drive off.... I swear, there are sum sad ass import haters out there, i was jus waitin for him to jump out of the car and come up to my window.... oh well

guys, about those shild restraints, we're talking about the three bolt like thingys on the rear parcel shelf right, one through either speaker grill and the thirdin the centre... do they have to remain there? is it illegal to remove them? i must say that they are pretty un-attractive and i dont plan on havin any kids in there any time soon Steve

Most likely the HID Globe, i had one go out the day i picked up my car, lol, just bought a new set to be safe If your not sure just get in there and pull out the globe and check it, may be slightly blackened or the tiny wire will be broken inside, Simple to replace, just unscrew the big black screw like thingy behind the headlight and pull out the globe which is attached via some sort of clip (easy to get out) (just dont touch the globe itself (the new one), finger prints on the globe can cause it to heat up more and possibly cause it to blow) Hope this helps Steve

agreed, disproportionate describes it perfectly, ive got a 34 and personally the stock 17's dont seem to fill it out enough but.... each to their own

Thanks to all for ur input, I would like to attempt the install myself, i've read a fair bit about it, wouldnt mind doin a lil more research, at present the car doesnt have an alarm, which i will get to, but any info on the install would be helpful, particularly R34 owners, assuming there is much of a difference between the 34 and other models oh and i suppose not to deviate too much from my original question, but does anyone know of any good places to get a decent quality alarm system installed? Thanks
