  1. This issue can also occur when the coolant temp sensor fails
  2. Ok I now have this same problem. Car will not turn over unless I pull out the coolant temp sensor. I assume the air regulator is stuffed?
  3. You work across the road from me at Ray White aye? Didnt know you were sporting a Supra
  4. I spot the same white R34 everyday, I think it even lives in my apartment block in Mawson, doubt its anyone on here as the driver never waves
  5. eventually, probably leave it for the time being, the car is generally too hot even without the heater turned on.
  6. In case anyone is interested, I have bypassed the heater core and the problem seems to have stopped. However, as the heater core was rusted out, the coolant/rust is now throughout the cooling system, I will need to flush the system. So for future reference, if you notice a problem with the heater core, dont leave it.
  7. Thanks Guys, Seems I can bypass the heater core fairly easily by connecting the inlet/outlet pipes together. Might try that rather than spending hundreds replacing it. I found a tutorial on replacing the core without having to remove the dash, will try when I have the time. Cheers
  8. The radiator coolant? Yes the air flow is hot, probably why the window *fogs i suppose
  9. Hey Guys, Couple days ago I used de-mist on the climate control to clear the windscreen and ever since, moisture/steam has been rising from the air vents along the base of the windscreen, fogging it up and causing water to drip from the glass, I cant see shit. Has been happening for a few days now, smells nasty and making it pretty difficult to drive. I assume its related to the A/C -Condensor or whatever, just wondering if there is anything I can do to make it stop without having to take it in to the shop. Any help appreciated, cheers. Tristan
  10. The spring in the AAC valve should move freely. Also check the voltage on the solenoid. Not sure about the air regualtor, I have two of them and they both cause bad cold starts. I actually think the spring is stuffed as the small bi-metallic disc does not fully close. Anyone know if this disc is supposed to remain closed with no voltage? This thread is great when diagosing similar problems. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fi...ob-t174735.html
  11. Hey mate, When installing the new turbo, do you need to use sealer on the new gasket? Can the bolts be done up normally or do they require a specific torque? Cheers
  12. Hey mate, I will take the injectors and turbo, I'm in Canberra Southside. Can you either PM, SMS or phone? Ph: 0431 320 374. Thankyou
  13. There has been a wave of car theft in the past few weeks. One of the guys I work with had his Subaru stolen from the work carpark during the day (Phillip). When he called the police they stated that over 20 cars had been reported stolen on that day alone. It was found a few km's down the road, crashed through koppers logs. Best of luck mate, I hate seeing these posts.
  14. Hi all, I have found 4 vac lines that have been blocked with screws (see pics). 2 questions: 1. where do these normally lead? 2. will it effect performance if they remain blocked? Any help would be appreciated, cheers

  16. I seriously doubt this would be inacted given almost every car on the road is imported from somewhere or another. They would have to define 'Import'.
  17. followed a black R33 with a Trojan Motorsport sticker on hindmarsh this morning
  18. Spotted a blue R33 on Hindmarsh heading towards Weston last night
  19. Anyone know if the R34 boost sensor is the same as R32? I was replacing the vac line to the boost sensor and the valve broke off, now the gauge does'nt work anymore. I am sure this wont cause any problems but I would prefer to fix it anyway.
  20. Thanks Wal, The Toy Shot quoted $795 for a second hand box, pulled from a low km half cut. Skyline spares only have R33 in stock. Probably take it to Auto Torque in Phillip, they reckon they may be able to replace the synchros for around $1,000 which is cheaper than the 2nd hand box and install costs.
  21. Morning All, I am looking for a second hand box in good condition. Autotech have quoted me $1100 but I was hoping for something cheaper. Dont suppose anyone can point me in the right direction? Cheers
