  1. Cuts out or dies as in no more power, could be maxing out the fuel pump, i had this happen when i fitted my front mount.
  2. So i do have a GTS-X!! I heard a couple of things and thought that i didn't but after reading this thread i'm certain my car is a GTS-X as it has the split fold rear seat and also explains why i rarely see a 2 door R31 with a carpeted boot like mine. Carlos
  3. Do you have an Aus or import R31? Carlos
  4. Nepean EFI are at Penrith, can't remeber how much though. Are you pulling the injectors out or taking the car to them?
  5. The last L series i had the head off, i used a length of broomstick handle, worked a lot better than the wedge as it goes right down between the chain to the tensioner itself. Carlos
  6. Sorry guys, i'm wrong, i watched the boost guage today and it does drop a couple psi above about 5000-5500rpm. Time to make up a dump now. Nismoid, its a pretty good cooler kit, the guy who makes them designed it on his stock R33 which gained 40HP at the wheels with just the cooler, standard exhaust as well. The R31 coolers are just shit, even a standard R32 cooler will probably make a difference on a R31. Carlos
  7. Why not copy the R31 GTS-R extractors, i get a fat every time i see them. I think trust even copy these, well one of the jap companys does. Carlos
  8. 11psi, no bleed valves or boost controllers, just what it runs with 3" exhaust and decent front mount intercooler. Was 9psi with the standard intercooler. Carlos
  9. Sorry guys my car has always had a R32 turbo on it, non Skyline non ball bearing at first and then when i changed engines a ball bearing one which spools up alot sooner (about 2000rpm sooner!). But both engines started to lose power about 6500 they still reading full boost. Carlos
  10. What new parts do you have for a RB20, pistons, rings, gaskets, etc?? Carlos
  11. Put an exhaust on it!! My car has had 3" the whole time i've had and never had the boost drop off. The R32 turbo is much better to drive as it spools up a lot sooner. Carlos
  12. How do you high flow an injector??
  13. Yeah that's what i thought, the import R31 turbo's have a plate LSD R200 long nose (early type) standard, but mine had a couple of broken plates. I rebuilt it with new plates (more than standard) and it works awsum, better than the Ford 9inch i had in my landcruiser.
  14. Joel & Clint, what do you mean by mechanical diff? Is it just a plate LSD as apossed to a viscous coupling? Carlos
  15. The import R31's (with the early style R200 diffs), used 4.3:1 in the autos and 4.11:1 in the manuals(when they were fitted with the RB20DET). The original diff ratio should be on the build plate, RC43 for 4.3:1 and RC41 for 4.1:1 etc. Carlos
  16. Are the R32 GTST diffs plate or viscous LSD? I know the R31's are plate, mine had a couple of broken plates, i replaced those and added a couple more and now it works awsum!! Carlos
  17. Warpspeed, your camparision wasn't a true RB26/RB30 camparision as the RB30 not only has a longer stroke, but also a longer conrod which also affects engine power and what rpm's it's delivered at. Carlos
  18. Spectator passes are $15 a day and there are spectator points in the forest as well, use the link at the top for more info.
  19. Another thing with Hypereutectic pistons is they tend to shatter rather than just break or crack ring lands like cast or forged pistons. Also some forged pistons also have a high silicone content so be careful if your thinking of running Nitrous.
