nothing going? sigh. will search for sale sections!
-
oh, sydney location preferred. will pick up.

if the car is registered in your parents name, you can be nominated as a secondary driver, and save on the premium. im pretty sure this wont work towards a no-claim bonus of any description, since its insured in the parents name, not yours. just car 3rd party + fire + theft for me was $750, easy. 20yo male, r33 turbo.
-
as stated, need 2 tyres to pass rego. price is a factor, so brand etc is not so important. nankang will do for interim. reasonable tread preferred. let me know what youve got, here or PM. 9 successful trades already. cheers!

255/40/17 bridgestone potenza streets, id say they are pretty high-end since they were over $400 each. i run around with 36psi, and it says on them "traction - AA" haha. too bad they only last 15000km.
-
haha must have had no traction at all! my car has tons, except when its wet lol. when i launch off the lights i might wheelspin a bit through 1st, little chirp into 2nd then off she goes!
-
youre right. im realistically expecting low 13s, theres a lot of time to lose in the launch i guess.
-
phwoar. i reckon ive got about 250, so we might give it a good shake! smash all the hsvs there running 14s. one more thing, since you appear to be a source of much knowledge. ill chuck v power racing in, 100ron. is it worth getting booster? much more powah? bad for engine etc?
-
fkn hell. so the consensus is that it is possible. and i may get pwned at WSID, if it isnt raining... a R33 gtst would need AROUND 300rwkw eh?
-
it was only a guesstimate lol. but even so, 250kw is a far cry from 205.
-
2004 STI... kerb weight 1483kg R32 GTR kerb weight 1480kg i did say you need "the best part of 300" for the gtr. so like 280 or thereabouts?
-
so this guy i know is buying an sti wrx. the previous owner is claiming a wsid quarter mile of 12.1s with only 205kw at the wheels. i call bullshit. how can that be possible? i reckon youd need the best part of 300 to get a gtr down the other end in 12.1. thoughts?

i read the stuff about launching, i also try to ride the clutch out. but i get very little wheelspin when launching, even with 240+rwkw. could be the 255 bridgestones on the back lol. going to WSID this wed night hopefully. aiming for high 12s. also, i would strongly recommend gutting your cat. i did this to my 33 and it revs out so much nicer. must be good for at least 10kw i reckon. and it shoots flames sometimes when you fang it. search for "gutting cat" or "gutted cat" for some more info. its quite simple to do. flames FTW! -
it sure is. im not paying $238 and losing my licence for some green citroen!
-
the dude with the doggy avatar... what the hell is a "lolcat"? i saw another ridiculous avatar once with a pic of a cat. and it said "i are serious cat. this is serious thread." are the two related in some way? thats shit about the windscreen. last year, some fktard reversed into my 400r front bar, smashed the shit out of it, and then just drove off. i havent been able to repair it yet, since i lost my turbo and motor later that very same day... sure makes me less apprehensive about scraping in/out of driveways though. lol.

price drops. this stuff has got to go! -
there was talk of making the elderly put S plates on their cars, but that would constitute discrimination apparently. and yet it is considered socially acceptable to force young drivers to identify themselves to all and sundry, not unlike jews in nazi germany. furthermore, is it socially acceptable for police to target and harass this demographic, when their only crime is being aged 17-20ish? im pretty sure if police harassed women, people of middle eastern appearance, harley davidson riders, or scientologists, there would be uproar. 3 weeks left on p's. good riddance i say.

the same purple ss that booked me (at the start of thread)... last night i saw it sitting on the shoulder of the f5/hume hwy not far from where he booked me. and by shoulder, i mean a metre or two at best from the left lane, with no protection from cars doing 110kmh right next to it. it gets better. this was at night, and seemingly police are too important to require hazard lights. so there was a dark coloured stationary car sitting right next to oncoming 110kmh traffic. theyre obviously not too concerned about the safety of motorists now are they... oh and they got someone. the party lights started up and without indicating, off they went to earn their commission.

haha none at all. i must confess i have always had a talent for debates/arguments though. the judge even commented that he thought i was wasted in my job and i should definitely study law lol. at the original hearing, i definitely went in far too cocky, and my inexperience was fatal. but i learnt an awful lot. i also had to attend district court to get a date for my appeal, since it was to be adjourned, watched a few cases, and took notes as to how they were run. it was of major assistance, and i would recommend this highly. this time, i dominated proceedings. and used all the lingo "if i may your honour..." etc. it was a lot of fun, but somewhat stressful. didnt get to shout OBJECTION unfortunately... im very confident i will get off my recent speeding charge now. (yes im the green citroen guy lol, see thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Se...ective+policing) i already have tons of questions to smash the po-po in cross-examination. and i know how to object to them bringing in circumstantial evidence, which they nearly always do. in a few months time there might be a ME 2. Police 0. thread. or one about the court system being a joke lol depending on the result. cheers!

THANKS! i checked that site, you are quite right. the new calculations mean that stock wheels travelling at 110kmh, translate to: F 114kmh R 113kmh based on my 17s. therefore im still right and the copz can munch on my ass! (as long as they dont enjoy it too much) oh man i love sau.

in may of last year i was ludicrously charged for a burnout that never happened, (even if i did happen, they wouldnt have been able to see it) and the monkeys tried to defect me too, but were too dumb to do so. a more detailed description can be found in this thread... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Lu...icrous+policing in november, i was raped in the most unfair hearing since lindy chamberlain. the cops flat out lied, changed their stories, creatively interpreted photographic evidence, et al. magistrate swallowed it all, and more or less assumed i was a baby-killing hoon, based on the babble the prosecution made about "the flagship of nissan performance". $570 fine, 3 month suspension. today, i finally got my appeal before a judge in district court. and he found the allegations so absurd, and my evidence/arguments so damning, he threw it out in less than an hour. the crown prosecutor in his wisdom, didnt offer one word in argument. the monkey cops were blatantly exposed as fabricating a charge against me, and willingly giving false evidence in court. will anything come of it? i doubt it. cant even claim my expenses, which total several hundred dollars even though i represented myself lol. just wanted to share my elation at beating the system, and my annoyance that it probably cost tens of thousands of taxpayers dollars to reach this solution. note: some of you may be aware i was booked for speeding a couple of days ago in highly dubious circumstances, and am now very confident i will get off that too. regards, mitch
