  1. correct, emailed Tim @ SVS and he confirmed using later model half shafts which are stronger as it has larger internal spine size, not a problem if your car is already late model 32 or 33/34 and non v-spec, straight bolt-on
  2. Michael, you have both cars, you notice any difference hopping from one car to the other the other thing to suss out is if quaife requires half shafts like the nismo or other mods
  3. bought front quaife diff, was chatting with owner of jjr, he swapped from nismo 1.5 to quaife rear, said difference was chalk n cheese, few other 32 gtr including donut king r35 has it in the rear, no chatter unlike nismo, maintenance free, lifetime warranty etc has me leaning towards the quaife rear
  4. after bit more info and feedback re: quaife rear diff on the gtr, anyone running one of these yet? not sure if its directly swap jobbie, unlike nismo items that require half shafts etc who here is running one? already had great things about the front but for the rears not sure if its better than nismo 1.5 option
  5. i run arc ones in mine, cant say i have noticed added noise, if possilbe get one that have dust boots

  9. was smoke used for the leak test, i have had few done at the tuner but i doubt it ever was at 10-15psi, something with machine building pressure but open system etc etc, anyways one loose clamp detected first time and other times nothing

  14. Im running 18x10+15 on mine with decent camber front and back, both arches lipped
  15. using driftwork elimination kit, just make sure to tighten the bracket bolt up good, ditched all the lines leading up to the engine bay, inc solenoid
  16. i had this issue when i trialled mobil1 few years back, engine was bit noiser on startup as well iirc, switched back to royal purple 10w-40 and all was good again, dont recall which weight mobil1 i tested though
  17. shyte, meant RACING 15 15W-50, still getting used to their naming
  18. Couldn't agree more, royal purple has been my choice of oil for over 4yrs, but I would like to give hpr15 a shot
  19. ill doing changeover from royal purple 10w-40 to penrite racing 15w-50 this wknd, will report back, easier to source and can be bought on sale unlike royal purple if it all goes according to plan im dumping oil every 5k or so but do drive it hard
