does anyone know what the difference is between speedo cluster for BNR32 After 91/8 and Before 91/8.. i have picked up a nismo speedo cluster however seems to be different to my current cluster (back of the cluster).. wondering if there is any way to get this working.. if i replaced just the speed portion (320km) will this work??
umm sounds like problem i have currently with my R, although from what i can see my bolts are there.. im thinking the gasket has gone.. anyone know who much it is roughly for the gasket to be replaced?
thnx for the info guys.. gave it a shot last nite.. replaced one of the rears with relative ease.. as abu said.. only 3 bolts needed to be undone and the bottom part to be slid out off the connector.. could not get the bolt on the other rear side opened.. lots of swearing and pulling involved.. will take it around to the tyre place to get them to loosen bolt with rattle gun and then replace at home
the fronts were a completely different story.. removed the bolt but was unable to remove the bottom part from the connection bolt by sliding out.. it moved half way out but wouldnt clear the bolt completely.. how do i go bout removing this part? im assuming i remove the bottom part first.. is this where i need to use spring compressor??
my current cluster is an AMR unit.. picked up a r32 gtr nismo cluster from wreckers recently however the main speedo unit does not fit my existing cluster..
3rd pic (AMR) marked in red is a connector that missing from the 4th pic (nismo)..
also the 2nd and 5th pics.. the back where speedo cables fit have diff no. of screws..
i tried to use the nismo cluster however in the process broke the speedo cable :-( dont think it lines up like my current one.. also if i try to use just nismo speedo unit on my current cluster.. it does not sit properly...
existing cluster and speedo (AMR)
Nismo cluster
questions:
1. is my current cluster (AMR) with the connector an exception or std on GTR cluster?
2. anyone been able to swap speedo cluster and been direct fit?
3. current AMR is 300km and Nismo is 320km limit - is soldering/calibration required?
looking at getting PFC for 32R.. is there a serial range that better than rest ie. PFCGTR33010-0102 vs PFCGTR33020-1852.. later is newer but i had read somewhere theres a firmware bug on these model.. any info wud be appreciated
