this may be a stupid answer, but if u remove the mid muffler from the exhaust(if u have one) it will sound nice. did this recently and makes a big difference cya

hi, i have bought an ebay fmic. it is awesome, it does a really good job, why pay $800 + for a brand one? when driving at night i can actually see the temperature guage drop. but i do agree with the other guy. the clamps that come with the kit suck. be prepared with a set of good ones. good luck

hi , ive been thinking about this issue as well. at the moment i have the cooler on show. but recently ive been thinking of puttiing some black mesh in front of it. that way u will still see the silouette of it. either way will look good

hey guys myself and a few friends are going for a bit of a cruise on the sat 28th of july. its no big deal if no one can come. atm ive got coming: = silver r33 gtst (thats me, currently getting work done, but should be out by friday with no delays) = r34 gtst = r33 gts = lexus soarer = lexus cruiser(not sure on make) lx100 or something??? =au xr6falcon =v8 commodore maybe a sil80 maybe Blocka (from sunshinecoastcruising.com) maybe lude-r (from sunshinecoastcruising.com) there are usually about 3-4 other cars that just show up, so im not exact on the numbers. it will be at about 930pm at the forest glen bp, just near buderim/sippydowns. the southbound one i think. cya out there

thanks for all your responses, i will definitely get an engineer and tuner to check the engine first but i will be aiming for about 20psi. there are a few examples of posts in here that go off the topic. i just wanted to know how much boost the engine could handle. but u always get that when u ask a question about turbo's. hi guys i have a nissan r33, with stock internals. i am looking to upgrade from a t4 turbo to a newer t3t4 version. it can boost as much as 30psi. what i want to know is how much boost can the ENGINE handle, dont worry about anything else. i have gotten conflicting advice such as i shouldnt boost past the 8psi stock boost. but of course with the aim of greater horsepower, it isnt always possible. So what is the REAL maximum boost that the engine can take. thx

ill be there if my car is done in time, it should be out of the panel beaters by friday if there are no delays. then must install dvd player, if all goes to plan i will be ther.

thanks for your input. the bov is a genuine item, it is impossible for boost to leek, as it is a push-pull piston setup.

yeah, i had the exact same problem on my r33 with similar mods. i replaced all of my spark plugs and now it runs like a dream.

thanks for all your replies, this still happens with the stock bov. and by not rregistering on the a'f ratio gauge, once this happens, the gauge doesnt light up any more. i will borrow a mates o2 sensor and test the theory, thanks for all of your replies.

yeah, mate, i bought the car with most of the mods done, with a mines ecu chip, or so he said. it has all been running sweet till about 2months ago (had it for 7months). the last tune was 6months ago (edit-previous owner ) at supertune on the gold coast. there appears to be no mechanical issues like corroded pipes and stuff. i am just hoping it needs a re-tune. but i would like to know everyones opinion, maybe someone has had this problem.

hi guys i have recently been having some stalling issues with my r33. it has t4 turbo, 720cc injectors, nitrided crank, and ssq vta bov, and 3inch exhaust, fmic. after about 20min to 1hr of driving my air fuel guage fails to register, it only blips back to normal once and a while. if i take too long to change gears, or come to a quick stop, the dash lights come on, and the revs drop, almost stalling. i will get it serviced and tuned in the coming weeks. i am also investing an an apexi safc, hopefully these things will help. any advice would be helpfull.
