  1. Hey guys, I have to remove the dual stage boost controller for rego purposes, how would i go about plumbing the wastegate so that it maintains stock boost? (RB25DET Stock) Cheers!
  2. yeah the switch goes on and off as i crack the throttle. when its on for a bit it is fine, its only on the initial startup... never happened before i had the standard plenum\TB on.
  3. Ill check that tomorrow and let you know Nothing else really done, only started happening when i installed the greddy plenum, idles fine so cant be the plenum installation only happens when the accelerator is depressed which is why i assumed it might be the Q45 TB or TPS. It just seems a bit odd that it only does it when its dead cold, meh.
  4. Yeah installed a Greddy intake plenum not long ago, AAC got a good clean while it was off
  5. It has a PFC installed, anything i can check with the hand controller?
  6. $50-$80 S2 AFM.... $1300 PFC Start saving
  7. pfc...pfc...pfc... thats not the answer to his question lol but yeah a PFC if you can find one for sure. yeah they will work, just need to change your bits a bit.
  8. S1 & S2 ECU's are the same as far as ignition goes, all thats different is the loom doesnt have an ignitor. You will need the AFM from a S2 to get it to fire up, thats about it.
  9. Your not hearing the air being "chopped" your hearing the air go back and forth from the closed throttle body to your POD. To fix the problem get a plumb back BOV. Atmos are sh!t
  10. For some reason when i start my car up first thing in the morning it hesitates if i pump the accelerator a tiny bit untill its been on for about a minute or so. Lets say i start it up, its idling nice at about 900rpm, i pump it a tiny bit and it drops and fluctuates at 500-400 rpm for a second or so and then jumps up to 1000-1300 etc. Could this be the TPS, only thing i can think of as I swapped over to a Q45 throttle body (but used my old TPS that was on my old throttle body, came off a S1 RB25 so it was all good to swap over). Anyone know what the TPS should be reading at closed and at full throttle? And before you say it yes i have removed the water valve spring (valve that holds the throttle open a tiny bit untill warm water flows through to close it) Thanks!
  11. Hey Guys, Anyone know what accelerator cable bracket i should get for a greddy plenum. I fitted my standard plenum cable mount to the greddy plenum but it didnt line up so i had to modify (bend) it so that it would sorta work but it is still not ideal.
  12. Hi Guys, My front drivers side coilover has blown a seal, when i turn left it feels like jelly on the right and it bottoms out easily. Its a S13 Silvia. My question is can you guys recommend anyone in Canberra ACT that can recondition coilover spring suspension, everyone i ask says they dont do it but they can send it off "somewhere" to get it fixed. Cheers!
  13. Hi Guys, Anyone know of someone that reconditions coilovers in Canberra ACT?
  14. Water could also be getting into the chamber from the inlet manifold if it has warped (overheated?).
  15. Sweet, i already have a loom, just wanted to make sure bypasing the ignitor wouldnt blow sh!t up Cheers!
  16. Anywhere where it will get maximum airflow without hindering the performance (heating up) of any other cooling device (intercooler, radiator etc.) If you put it out of the way of the intercooler but in the way of the radiator that would be the best spot without any major modifications imho. Radiator should be able to cope, if it does cause an issue main way to cool your engine (i have found) isnt additional capacity in the radiator, its raising your bonnet at the back and venting at the back, works like a charm.
  17. There arent PowerFC's for S1 or S2... just for ECR33. http://www.nengun.com/apexi/power-fc-hand-controller - States one unit for S1 and S2... as i thought they arent different So should just be a matter of matching up the signal wires yes?
  18. I'm thinking of retrofitting a RB25DET S2 coil pack loom to a S1 loom to run S2 splitfires and get rid of that bloody ignitor. Anyone done this?
  19. wouldnt an answer to the question suffice i needed a pump quick and it was cheap (cheap compared to a bosch 040 anyway).
  20. Hey Guys, My fuel pump recently carked it, replaced it with a Walbro GSS-341. What kind of power can this pump handle? Cheers!
  21. I got a Q45 AFM + Apexi Power Intake Kit to suit for sale if you want it You probably wont need it + the power FC already has the voltage ramp table for the Q45 (select VH41 or something like that) so a tune wont be NEEDED but definately RECOMENDED
  22. It has probably been mounted too high, pull the pump out and lower it.
  23. BTW if you have a S1 RB25DET you dont need to chop wires, take old TPS off, install on Q45 T/B, connect it up and vroom.
  24. Its better to be safe than sorry, i personally prefer to confirm with someone that knows before just "giving it a go". I have been using the dickie little thing that comes out of the thermostat housing (that used to go to the old throttle body) for a while now, use that i guess.
