  1. This wont be happening soon.
  2. You forgot that it has two rocket engines on the back to assist with launches.
  3. There will be a DVD published soon. There is no doubt it will end up on YouTube within minutes but the DVD will likely be part of a special or end up in the next issue of GTR magazine first.
  4. Nissan Europe press released this just under an 2 hours ago. If you're wondering why it's from Portugal, Nissan are holding some big fancy event there. The actual laptime was set mid April...
  5. Mid mounted VR38TT powered Clio Sport.
  6. I've thrashed a R35 and it didn't suddenly go into limp mode. 4,000 people have thrashed their R35's and they didn't go into limp mode. There is a limp mode but it's got nothing to do with thrashing the shit out of the car.
  7. The marketing could be better. I feel that Nissan Australia marketing aren't geared up for something more than a Tiida type car and are struggling with this. It's nothing to do with WA it's Aus wide there is next to no marketing push.
  8. Hmm normally something like that many cars would come up on my radar but I haven't seen anything yet. I'm not doubting you im just wondering how to get more info.
  9. How can you tell that. Must be a few silver ones going around. This photo was taken at the Shinagawa NHPC though. I've had that confirmed by someone who went there Friday.
  10. Another one wrecked in Tokyo: http://www.gtrblog.com/index.php/2008/04/2...-duct-ta?blog=4
  11. He probably thought you were crazy because none of them have 180km/h dashes. It's a Jap spec one and the speedo goes to 340km/h. He was lying but that's life, the Nissan guys who are touring with this car are getting pissed off at everyone asking the same question but to everyone's defense they needs to stop lying and come out with some genuine details. The silver is a nice colour at night but I like the other colours more. The silver also costs $3k more as an option. Probably $5k by the time we get it here.

    Gtr Revenge Battle

Best Motoring have asked YouTube to remove it and other copies of it. It's gone. Might be on other video share sites take a look.
  13. Still there's a lot more to see as well as the GT-R. Silver is such a great colour at motor shows. Hi-res @ http://www.gtrblog.com/index.php/2008/04/2...l-27th-a?blog=4
  14. If you're in WA and haven't seen it yet - don't forget to check out the new Nissan GT-R at the Perth Motor Show on now from 22nd - 27th April at the Perth Convention Exhibition Center. Perth Motor Show website: http://www.perthmotorshow.com.au/index.phtml Nissan Home Page: http://www.nissan.com.au/index.asp
  15. 1993 GTST + money = special! edit: forgot the stickers.
  16. word. You got his e-back!
  17. This is some crazy skyline delorean hybrid? Built in 1993 with a truck load of 1995 - 1998 parts on it. Man I would have thought it made 1.21 gigawatts not just a measily 460ps.
  18. jerk outsider... or something derogative outsider...
  19. Raining right now.
  20. Except that had already been done in Japan and the results were different but not by as much as you think they would be. Big woop a modified car that's faster than a standard car... that proves precisely nothing.
  21. The roll cage in the Targa car was custom made and i think that's a pretty huge thing considering serious competitors will need roll cages. There is no point re-inventing the wheel with certain parts so they bolted those on. So there you go, Bond bolt in roll cage is probably the first of the Aussie parts and theres more on the way i'm sure.
  22. Did he mean the clutches are wearing out or the box is dying? The clutches are wearing out when they start making more power. Nissan overrated the clutch's torque capacity and they're probably a massive bitch to replace but if the box itself is wearing out quickly I dunno what to make of that.
  23. $150-160k will get you in one easily.
  24. The asking price for the Garage Defend GTR would be more like 10 million yen. Enough when you consider the financial situations.
  25. I don't know about you but the golden rule when you're in that game is everything is always for sale. The costs of developing these cars is huge but once parts are developed they can easily be replicated so a chance to recover some of the investment at it's peak is obviously a good idea. With the $$'s they make selling their car they can buy another stock one and probably fit the same parts at a small fraction of what it cost to develop them originally.
