  1. lol yeah, until Corinne posted this thread I was thinking WTF how is this information spreading so quick - I didn't realise he had spammed half of the country with his "announcement". I laughed when I read it... he's about 3 months too late to start taking delivery of cars and about 6 months too late to be organising deposits and logistics... As you know, if you didn't get your shit together last year then good luck getting anything now. The next dealership deliveries aren't till August so he's going to be buying at auction and throwing away his customer's money because he didn't plan ahead.
  2. I closed and moved it... when someone with 7 posts makes a thread which contains nothing but an advertisement for a import dealership i'm fairly sure the rules about advertising apply so it went. As for this thread, Corinne can you at least remove the URL's and contact details, you don't want to give Edward Lee's free advertising do you? As for what's going on, it is possible to do what Edward Lee's is saying they can do in fact it is already being done by others and I would more than likely give my money to those guys over Edward Lee's. Other workshops already have import approval for R35 GT-R's under low volume new so why would you go with Lee's who will probably bend you over that much more.

  6. or find another blue slip station...
  7. Are you serious? If so... does the forum login come with the plates... I don't want to be GTRBOS on the streets without being GTRBOS on the internet too... I'm all about the GTRBOS...
  8. You need both before installing the PowerFC or you'll be wasting your time and money tuning it. You'll max out the injectors before making any meaningful power and the workshop will most likely tell you what everyones told you already. upgrade your fuel system....
  9. Cool yeah was waiting for Edmunds to post this as all the dyno results had already leaked. Nice photos I guess too bad edmunds only publish little thumbnails though
  10. No. Only NEW vehicles are eligible for import into Australia so Nissan Japan get the profit and Nissan Australia get a cleaveland steamer from ylwgtr.
  11. If someone is editing my posts please at least sign your name on the post or add an edited line.
  12. dmac- be careful about what personal info is in your profile etc.
  13. Parts availability is no problem at all. Nissan Australia officially wont help but in the past as many of us have found out Nissan Japan price + EMS is often competitive or better than Nissan Australia's trade price for GTR parts. If you have a container shipping arrangement then an new transaxle or engine assembly is no problems. Don't know what trade price is but retail on those is already widely published. I have already purchased R35 GTR parts from Japan... nothing special but it's been done...
  14. I'd love to post the details as you know that's exactly what I can't do though for no reason other than respect for the people involved. I could trample on their toes and post anything I wanted but I'd rather let the guy who made the huge investment to get to this stage announce it. It's not my place to post anything other than what was already made public if you looked in the right places. As for how it's possible - that information is also public for anyone who wants to wade through it.
  15. Yeah I doubt it... Nissan probably left him a voicemail and he didn't return their calls.
  16. The GTR is already on the SEVS register for new vehicles only. It will be 18 months from 2007 before second hand cars would be able to make it onto the SEVS register for the RAWS scheme to have any effect and by then Nissan will have shut down this angle by gaining full volume import approval from DOTARS. It is unlikely that second hand GTRs will make it into the country via grey import if this is the case. The only chance is if Nissan do not fulfill the requirements for the full volume import approval and import too few cars. Then that may open the flood gates to grey imports of second hand GTRs. There is another way though fortunately and by the end of the month the lucky owner will be able to post details.
  17. No. It is already on the list. I'm saying something else entirely.
  18. They are not telling the whole story in that article. As usual a journalist speaks to a media trained representative from Nissan and believes that is the end of the story before actually researching the matter themselves. Nissan are being very manipulative in what they say as to make people believe they have "closed the door" on grey imports but in fact they are deliberately leaving out half of the story. It is a scare tactic used by Nissan to make it seem too risky to the average punter that they will think twice before even contacting someone to do it. The proof against Nissan's story will be seen before the end of this month.
  19. Looks like a massive shitfight has brewed... sucks to be stuck in the middle of that...
  20. Yeah it's a shame, there was a bit of a fight between the forum admin and the owner of the domain so they went seperate ways. I am on the fence but the forum admin has all of the forum data and has already relocated to nagtroc.org and since word has spread to all the various blogs etc I think most people will go right on posting on it. edit: Wow looking at it now it appears that the whole story is posted on nagtroc.com with the data back there... This is going to spell problems for the Nagtroc.org owners as people may just forget there's a difference.

    Gtr Vs. Nsx

Noone complains how big the new Evo and STi are and look at this photo for comparison...
  22. That is what retail RoRo shipping costs but to Nissan they would be paying much much less for bulk transport.
  23. The Harrison GT-R body kit (the kit featured on the orange demo car) pricing announced: http://www.gtrblog.com/index.php?blog=4&am...p;tb=1&pb=1 Some parts are overpriced but I guess the target market has a bit of money for these boutique parts at the moment.
  24. Then skip over it geezus some people get worked up about the internet... They're right the information is months old. You don't have to read the forums everyday to know what if you have 2 month old information on something there's already a thread for just post it in the existing thread. Merging with existing V-Spec thread...
