    Vr38dett Sleeves?

Jun sell short blocks with liners. They also have a sleeving service where you can ship them a block and get it done by them. They have one short block lined and ready to ship out now if interested.
  2. New sat nav unit is a big upgrade from the current model MFD. This is indeed the global model change which includes minor suspension and bushing tweaks, SpecV rear diffuser, wheel centre cap changes, more clear coat on front and rear bumpers as well. The compact flash slot on the previous models is now gone and is replaced by a USB slot as you mentioned. Interestingly, the MFD can boot from and access this USB slot for software installation. Should open up the possibility of development of third party apps maybe. Nismo's MFD upgrade uses this tech to install itself in the GT-R after all. Hopefully apps don't need to be digitally signed by Nissan...... There's a whole computer in that MFD, if you can access it, there's a command line interpreter, POSIX like OS, 3G modem capabilities, etc. Would be very interesting to see if anyone puts some effort in to develop at the very least a data logging system ala Nismo but on the cheap / free for the community. I'd do it but i dont have a GTR to test out my stuff...

  4. GT-R Bros volume 3 was just published, probably the most current for R35. I would suggest trying to sort out regular Option mag issues though as they are quite good at following current parts releases. Each issue will only have about 5 pages of R35 stuff though. The previous mooks like R35 GT-R+ing etc are pretty dated already, the R35 scene is moving too quickly. I really think you're better off keeping up to date online, in English, I have a pretty exhaustive list of aftermarket products for R35 on my website. http://www.gtrblog.com/
  5. Full Mine's tune and only 1007ks on it. More money than he knows what to do with I guess..
  6. Congrats mate.
  7. Base model has run flats and leather. Only the bose is missing and they replace it with crummy gear which probably weighs very similar amounts.
  8. On certain tires, US price + shipping is still cheaper than any aussie price. Once Tempe and Taleb start parallel importing them though you should check them out locally before committing.
  9. The guy drives a light purple GT-R.... That's all im sayin.
  10. Yeah agreed the HKS570 kit is a very early kit and now has a few bits you wont need. You no longer need to touch the wastegate actuators or use any aftermarket EBC with the Cobb version 2.0 maps. Blow off valves are certainly just a gimmick. Provided you want to keep it mild you could opt for something else. The stock injectors are pretty small and very easily maxed on stock turbos so it's no wonder he went larger. Focus on the ECU tune (Cobb with either stock 2.0 maps or custom) and exhaust to give you a big smile when you put your foot down for relatively small investment.
  11. Toshio Suzuki is coming to Phillip Island later this year, I think Porsche should bring out their best to challenge him and settle this.

    R35 Purchase

It's not a nismo exhaust, not sure where you got that idea. Nismo only make one exhaust for the GT-R and it's the same as the SpecV item. I.e. oval single tip split in two per side. It's over 20k for the nismo cat back. The exhaust fitted to this white car is just some aftermarket cat back.
  13. US GT-Rs do not have this either.
  14. Went for a drive in their R35 with the new complete engine. Has to be felt to be believed. Thing just takes off with the slightest throttle irrespective of what gear you're in or what RPM. Will have to write up the whole thing soon.

    2nd Hand R35's

Because the R35 was only ever added on SEVS as a Low volume new vehicle import. A vehicle must have been released for 18mths before an application can be made for second hand imports and by the time 18mths rolled around Nissan had secured full volume import approval thus making the application to SEVS impossible.
  16. Yep press registration is available on Saturday from morning on. I go to see the SuperGT teams tweaking for Sunday's racing. You can chill in the pits with the teams and get some nice pics with noone around.
  17. Series II have stiffer front springs actually.
  18. I do indeed have two of these. One for me and one for my wife. Bought them when they first came out, prior to the GT-R logo of course. Been good for 3 years, not any complaints about the harness holes from me, I never rest my head there really. A "proper" office chair can cost upwards of $1k so for $300 this is a bargain. I have $1200 herman miller aero chairs as well and to be honest, for comfort, I'd take the race seat office chair all day.

    Password Jdm

I know Steve the owner of Password:JDM and have been to their factories in LA and have nothing but faith in their product. Quality and fit is great on everything I've seen. It doesn't make it into production until it's perfect.
  20. Pretty common issue in the US and might not be related to the track day. Peoples brake pads are cracking after the car sits in the garage. Did you park it with the rotors wet / after a carwash at all?
  21. I've asked Nissan Aus if they plan to follow Europe on this.... waiting for reply...
  22. So i've heard. I hope the Singaporeans got their cut...
  23. The guys in Singapore have this down. I supplied a few JDM keys to them and they programmed them no problems. Maybe ask in the Singapore section of NAGTROC they all read that.
