  1. It's a cappucino and it looks very rough in person. Ah well im sure they had fun making it.
  2. Very nicely done on rear seats. Looks OEM. Should have been OEM.
  3. To the OP, iPhones work great in Japan. Turn on global roaming and away you go. Careful on the data downloads though! Turn data roaming off for peace of mind.
  4. lol yeah. Can you tell Optus about how my phone "didn't work"? Maybe I'll get out of my $600 bill for all the not-talking and non-data I used over there last trip...
  5. You wouldn't be given the option. It's a car available to teams fielding in the 2010 FIA GT season and there will be plenty of buyers since all the rules change next year and only 2 cars are developed to meet the regulations so far. The GT-R and the Ford GT. For a fully ground up developed carbon bodied FIA GT car, half a million is probably an underestimate.
  6. This car has already raced in two FIA GT races this season and will be running the 24hrs of Spa endurance race in Belgium next. Not sure how you guys missed it the first time round... Loads of photo gallerys and news about it: http://www.gtrblog.com/category/racing/fia-gt/
  7. I got a ride with one of the Nissan GT-R test drivers (not Suzuki-san but a colleague of his, Shishikura-san) at the Tochigi test track in Japan and he was quite literally violent with the car in the corners. Much like in the video. Interesting theory.
  8. how many km's on your ADM one?
  9. Nissan have sold 160 and are fulfilling these orders now. Factor in another 30+ or so JDM imports.
  10. I read the article online and added the link to the first post in this thread. I think it's pretty important to point out that an article that is this scathing of something with such a large following will get a lot of attention. There's something strange when a motoring journalist completely misses the point of a car in such a massive way that you cannot explain away using the "it's subjective" reasoning. It's a great way to drum up web traffic...

    Targa Tasmania

Jim Richards hit a bank and his GT2 is leaking, possibly coolant!
  12. I'm down for this. I might even have a driveable skyline by Wednesday night.
  13. I heard someone spotted you driving one....

    Oz Spec R35

We get Black Edition seats here though. Thanks Nissan Aus for ticking that box.

Who cares - it's faster than them.* *Them being all the other 2x 2010 GT1 cars in existence...

The differences are minor. Sat Nav is maybe the biggest. So no.
  17. Nissan has said they will offer the Rays wheels as an option in Europe, so perhaps globally also. Then it's just a stock car with optional wheels. To compare, the 911's are available with ceramic brakes as an option which they would obviously use in any record setting attempt.
  18. They do not lose money on the GT-R's they sell. The car itself is profitable on a per unit basis. Considering they are built to order it also means there is no overhead of cars laying around in inventories. Whether they will make back the development costs of the entire project is the only question mark that will be sorted out over the 5 - 6 year model lifespan.
  19. Martin keeps 'em in check over there.
  20. Subsequent sessions to set a better laptime were rained out. The 7:27.56 will have to do.

    R35 Wrecking

Every single rim is bent, all the rotors need new disks and who knows if the calipers and hats are salvagable. At least one is probably not. The suspension is completely gone.

    R35 Wrecking

It's in no shape to be sold for a parts car. A friend of mine was investigating buying this before it went on ebay but everything is wrong with it. I would not be surprised to find a large hole in the bottom end of the engine and a cracked transmission housing.
  23. The VR38 block is not available by itself from Nissan though. If you want to buy a VR38 engine assy you need to prove to them you have one broken you're replacing.
  24. It's LC2 in the Aus spec car, just like the UK model.
  25. You drop the return driveshaft from the transfer case. It's not a simple fuse pull.
