People saying that you void a warranty by turning the VDC off are misinformed. In the United States (where we do not live) Nissan will deny a warranty claim on a drivetrain component if they can prove using the past 36hrs of recorded data in the black box device the owner was abusing the car. One of the details recorded in that is VDC state as well as other indicators as to what the car was doing. Suffice to say it is easy for them to combine several points of data and say you repeatedly launched the car X many times in the past 36hours of driving. They will then make a judgement call and possibly deny the warranty claim. To continue to spread such baseless rumours and consider them fact is quite annoying really especially on this forum where you're probably a Nissan enthusiast...

Just Jap Racing Gives An R35 Gtr The Chop - Literally
sewid replied to Just Jap Racing's topic in R35 GTR
nice work Gary! -
Correct. It's JohnTurbo's from NAGTROC. I've been closely following the build and racing of his car. Kicked off the drag strip when he ran an 11.04 (not using launch control) he put a cage in the car and went back out there and tried some more. Never did run a 10.9 though so he's now building it further to demolish the current record. Pretty much out of fuel at the boost he's running at the moment so needs injectors.

Yep. Singapore is very tiny but there's a lot of money there. Over 130 GT-Rs already in the country and they can import any RHD car at any time with no particular restrictions. Except the huge tax they pay. Very densely populated with GT-Rs. I saw plenty and drove one on my last trip there. Nice people in their GT-R owners club too.

Indeed. A guy I know of has run over 100 1/4 mile passes since owning his, has 60+ launches on the gearbox, makes 600hp and his GT-R eats it up. He is actively willing the gearbox to break but it just doesn't... I still wouldn't kick one out of bed...

More changes leaked out today, official announcement 8th of December:

The car has proven good for 11's with no LC on the drag strip and sub 4s 0-100 without LC in the hands of private owners. This is with the crap they call petrol in the US as well. Launch control might be fun but no doubt far too much stress on a car to have as an everyday feature.

Nice one Kel! Top bit of navigating too btw!

Not sure what it's rated for. The core is 600x300x73. It looks like it'd flow quite well. Price drop I have GOT to clear out my cupboards full of GT-R parts. I bought all of these with the intention of using them on my own GT-Rs over the years but since buying it I have not had the time to organise the build or fitment of them really. Quite sad to see them all go in brand new or near new condition but that's life. So here's a list of what there is and you can find photos below. Location: All parts are in Sydney and are available for pickup or post. Contact details: Please PM me on the forums or email me at: [email protected]. Conditions of sale: Buyer pays all postage, I'm not a shop, all sales are final Payment accepted: Cash for pickup or Direct Deposit for postage Standard R33 GT-R Coil Packs Suit any standard or mild tune R32, R33 GT-R that might be misfiring on one cylinder under boost. These never misfired on me and I replaced mine with splitfires purely because i was impulse buying in Japan... Price: $100 Tomei RB26 Type-B Pon Cam Shaft set and Adjustable Cam Pulley Set This kit is slightly used but still looks new, did about 800km's on a car before the guy sold them to me. Cast aluminium end tanks mean it's very light (pickup a chinese intercooler and then pickup an ARC - you'll immediately know the difference) and it flows like nothing else. This one is 76mm thick and fits stock location. It's not BRAND NEW but it's ALMOST there and has no flaws or faults. In original packaging still. (click here to compare to nengun) Nismo Fuel Pump to Suit R33 GT-R Flows a lot of fuel, plenty enough to supply for anything a set of GT-SS turbos can dish out. Brand new in plastic still. These are the premier quality dump pipes for your RB26. They are superbly crafted. In original box and never fitted to a car. The AUD / YEN exchange rate means these are now a $1100 set of pipes if bought new now but I'm after what I paid for them back when they AUD didn't suck. Congrats on getting a drive Dan. Nice article. I so know how you feel when you get handed the keys. Lol it's a bit of a moment where you can't reconcile the want to drive vs. the value of someone's pride and joy. It was worse when a mate in Singapore let me drive his one. Over there it's a $230k USD car so it's tough to go too rough on it. I did anyway... p.s. the LED lights are simply Nissan options not Nismo items. If they were made by Nismo the price tag would be 1.8million yen. Per side.

It would be a costly exercise but it could be done. No sat nav though Aus spec cars wont get this for a while. Though you could integrate any sat nav that had composite video out. Parts alone would be over $5k then there'd be a bit of stuffing around.

Congrats to all, Russ, Ben, Tony and Kel. Specially congrats on finishing your first rally and inside the top 10 at that on worn out tyres! PS. There's a small write up at GTRBlog focussed mainly on the two 35's and it has a few pics. Didn't have much news from Sundays racing so let me know if you have anything to add. http://www.gtrblog.com/index.php/2008/10/0...e-report-and-re
