Sau A.c.t. - What Did You Do To Your Car Today?
gtr judd replied to Got a Pulsar's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Soooo I pulled the switch out and apparently its not that old, has a nice chrome just jap sticker on it. Any other ideas -
I have been doing Canberra Sydney Canberra 5 days a week for the past 5 years lol, 3 years prior to that it was 3days a week lol.I know that road very well My truck is limited to 101, but I can roll up to 130 easily
-
Because they so frequently sit down the bottom people will look and see nothing then nail it, its still easy to sit on 130 + up it Also the get people going North from the top too. Same With down the bottom
-
Yea that hill is called the dipper, they sit down the bottom and occasionally up the top, but far more often the bottom I drive a truck, I have to be careful with that hill when I'm heading North, its easy to roll some speed up

^^^^ I second the dead stock comment. They are stock ss, xr6t, xr8. Sydney have sweet cop cars. Unmarked typhoons and shit. Does this stretch of road have bridges? And a wind sock up the top? I drive to and from Sydney every day, I know there hidey holes
-
I'm well aware of that, but reputation is a big thing, as is honesty. If a work shop said to me "hey we have to charge a little more because your discs are slotted and they take a little more time" I would be 100% OK with that. I understand time is money but you'd wanna be damn busy to flat out turn away work because it was a little more time consuming then the norm. Anyways in most cases where someone is using a brake lathe they set it, make sure it's fine then go and do something else.... Exactly, at my work we have contracts and if means occasionally you need to do that bit extra, so be it. Taken the good with the bad.I also believe in a second chance, sometimes people have a shit day lol
-
Its sad that customer service comes 2nd to profit in so many things these days....I see it so often, Im always reminding the guys under me at work to just do something because its the right thing.

I always stay at tomakin, my boss has a van at Barlings beach. I always drive to the tomakin social club get pissed play pokies and walk back to the van.....then to the hung over walk to get the car the next day lol
-
Scissor jacks work fine, little slow but not a big deal. I have a foot ball game Saturday but worse case I'll lend you the piston pusher backerer And Im fairly sure you can machine slotted rotors just do light skims not too much at once. Its really no different to decking a head and it has many of slots/holes/grooves
-
You machine where the brake pads touch. I have never done skyline brakes but done many of various cars so if you wanna hand and I'm free I'll come help and learn. Also I have a piston pusher backerer<---- yes that's a technical term lol

Yea swapped globes, I have power coming to the light (green wire) but I assume no earth that's why it's no go, also the high beam doesn't appear to work on that side but has power at the plug (red/yellow I think it is) So I'm guessing its the earth from the loom before the wires split up with plugs for high/low beam. I don't have a multimeter Would it be to dodgy to splice the earth from the drivers side and run it across? -

Well I had a look at my head light, passenger sidw not working. Globe is fine, the bit the globe sits in is fine. Ran the test light to the plug and it has power.... I'm stumped has anyone got any ideas? Pm me if you want so it doesn't get this thread off topic. I have been googling all arvo lol -

My child restraints look pretty dodge. Basically a plate has 2 rivets with bolt on the underside of the parcel shelf. -

I had oil sitting in the coil bits of the pipes and the mafs were so bad. From my understamdimg , left to right goes hicas, amp (maybe?) And wiper stuff then attesa. But I'm not 100% Good call on the stacker, that sorta ads up, I'll pull all the boot trim out and trace it back. My spare tire had a bunch of jap symbols, I like that this is still so fresh from Japan lol -

Removed my rear spoiler today, on one side it was missing a bolt and the other was moving freely in the spoiler also need a new lip as the genuine one is lifting and buckling I don't mind the look with the lip only though. Opinions? Also pulled out the air box, cleaned the mafs and pipes. I'm pretty sure a catch can has moved up on my to do list, it was nasty in there. I noticed some random wires in my boot too, when I bought the car the guy had the attesa fuse pulled out and said something bout tyre size between the front and rear was making it play up. I thought the wires were from the attesa computer or what ever it is under the parcel shelf but it is all plug in. The wires are red brown and yellow I think and go to the same plug, there is also one that looks like a head phone jack and a round one that is the same size as an aerial plug. What are these? Cheers
