  1. check your afm is plugged in
  2. EMS machining in Midvale Dean there produces some good work
  3. all parts will be purchased and assembled myself, machine work will be done by a machine shop i deal with quite alot and have high quality reputation in the industry. I did think about a Rb30 conversion but i want something I can just bolt in and not worry about shit lining up. Im sick of conversions. here is the last motor i built which took me 12 months to rebuild which was well respected in the corolla community. then I saw the light and found how well the RB series performed and had quite a quick street car but for me 250rwhp just wasnt fast enough and was just to laggy. I have had a want to build something breathtaking, and have been undecided what car I want to head towards.. I havnt cracked open a 25 before so it will be a learning experience as well, I learnt so much from rebuilding my last 2 corollas and also turning my last 32 from something stock and boring to something that had a fantastic all round package for street and track driving. I have thought about a build as serious as this for so long it comes down to forfilling my passion and proving to my self I can do it. 500HP is a goal, if i can reach it awsome, if a fall short of it Im sure the car will be fast enough, end of the day if I put in my best which ever way I come out at the end I will be a wiser person.
  4. lighten up, its hard enough to find these manuals in english in bookshops let alone on the internet.
  5. Im only talking about the motor at the moment, when i get the car I will then worry about a radiator, suspension, brakes, exhaust, ecu I know i will spend about 13K on the motor alone before its even on the car so its in concideration I will be spending alot more once the assembled motor is in. This is all just prep work so It doesnt have to be done after I get the car. so point has been made that Its possible for a 25 to reach 500hp, thats all i needed to know now this is where my research begins as to what approach I will take.
  6. Found manuals for the RB 20, 25 and 26 for you's http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/rb/ all PDF form, enjoy. They are rather large so might be worth just doing a "save target" to your desktop
  7. I dont think it will cost 25K but who knows lol maybe after i do the fuel system, ecu, bar and plate cooler, radiator and wot not
  8. that drag me car is the bomb!
  9. exactly why i only want a 25, not as laggy as a 20 but has similar power response to a 26 with a ported head and cams. i dont buy cars allready built, theres no appreciation in it. Id rather spend the money and gain more experience and apreciate it more and have a talking point of the car. Better to say you built it from scratch than bought it how it was.
  10. Iv had 2 quick 32 skylines & allways wanted more power, In the last month or two I have sold up all my cars so I can put some money away against some debt and buy a house. After I have a house I can then buy another skyline and i allready have a good motor to dump right in where as if I buy a car now i will be paying for a car I wont get to drive for a while. I want to build somthing I can be proud of and to aid motorvation to others. The reason I will stretch it over 3-4 years is so that It doesnt hurt my wallet constantly, I can gradually build on it and take my time. I mean after inlet manifold, rail, injectors, cams, pistons, rods, exhaust manifold, turbo, clutch, valve springs will be alot of money straight up to lay on the table. I want to build something that will be reliable for the power as well. Iv grown up with a car in the family that I was basically scared to even breath on and I want somthing that I can be as proud with. Not to mention I work at a place where I can get things done cheaply and have access to alot of gear I just figured 500hp was a roundish number and felt sort of realistic, in the next couple of months tho I will be doing alot of research of exactly the things I am going to need to reach my goal and even if could get over it so yeh wish me luck!
  11. I am going to start a motor build after christmas, I plan on spending about 3-4 years building up a Rb25 from scratch, I want to aim for 500hp, I know I could do this easily with a Rb30 or a 26 but I dont want one of those. after its built I want to drop it into a series 2 R33 but if a 34 comes down enough in price I might put it in that. so yeah, couple of questions. Any particular Rb25 motor I should be buying as in will a R33 RB25 bolt straight into a R34 if I go down that path? and is 500hp reachable with a 25
  12. I have a gmg one $149.99 LOL oh plus postage

  21. il be doing it myself, that way i know its done properly
  22. na thats ok monga i was more refuring to wat to pay for a stand alone motor, im thinkin at around 10-12K with all work done by myself
  23. woah talk about keen responses, Im not in need of something right away im going to look into it after christmas, saving for a holiday atm but yeh in terms of complete id like somethn assembled just missing loom and ecu basically, I mean i got rid of my last 20 for 200 bucks as a complete motor and im unsure how much i need to save for, does 500 bucks sound unreasonable for a complete motor requiring attention? shame i dont have 500 Sn1p3r cos it sounds perfect for wat i wana do, just fkn spent 1500 on my golf LOL
  24. I havnt got a sky anymore but im wanting to purchased a complete RB25DET that I can tear down and go right through and turn it into a HP monster so for one day when i get a 33 i can dump it right in. but yeh would like something that is to suit rebuild and im not sure what sort of coin i should be prepared to pay
