(Sa) Rb20 Ecu (Nistune) & Z32 Afm
BANGN replied to Vlasi's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
LOL! 150 is cheap as it is for a z32 AFM! did you recently buy that Nistune ECU with the MSD VCT controller? -
Nothing wrong with wanting to look at the part before hand, that's not what I'm saying. Way too many people think it's fine to be a no show but. Blizzerd you're not even funny. Your picture makes no sense nor are they original.

Thought I would start this thread up as I am becoming increasingly annoyed with how people shop around forums. It happens pretty much everywhere and its bad enough it happens just putting anything for sale on gumtree. I think it would just make it a bit nicer for sellers and buyers if this thread exists, so people read it and change how they shop a bit. Feel Free to add your frustrations. EXAMPLES OF JERKS/TYREKICKERS BUYER 1. If you actually want to buy something, only PM/MESSAGE/PHONE someone if you're 100% commited on purchasing a part. (unless its a question). I am sick to death of people saying "yeh no worries I will come and collect Tuesday night" and you never hear from them again. 2. If you tell a seller you are going to be at their house at such a time.. BE ON TIME! Why should they waste their afternoon/morning? 3. If someone is selling something at an already cheap price, dont lowball the f**k out of them just because YOU dont have any money. 4. If you tell a seller you're going to show up at such a time and you are unable to make it, at least advise the seller. Dont just message them 3 days later. 5. READ. Make sure before you PM someone your question, it has not already been answered within the thread. SELLERS 1. Post a sentence that makes sense, thats not in caps and use comma's and full stops. 2. Post prices 3. Dont post a price of $100, receive lots of interest and decide to put it up. Low act. thats as much as I can think of atm. Its pretty simple stuff really.

I work with this guy ^ can also vouch for cowleys, with any panel beater. Just make sure you advise them on the quality you are expecting.

I purchased a R33 series 2 this week Originaly it was a GTS RB25DE auto, at some point its had a series 1 RB25DET engine and manual box fitted along with 5 stud conversion ect... im thinking someone may have crashed their old car and re-shelled it into this one Was keen to see if anyone on here ever owned it as I am trying to find out what exactly has been changed/done so I have a better understanding of the car. like if any wiring has been changed as I know the dash cluster has had a series 1 non air bag type fitted. previous owner hadnt done anything to the car, hopefully someone here might know the car Cheers in advance

R32 Manual Conversion
BANGN replied to partyboy73's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
that is correct.. if you look under your car the 4 holes in the floor are actually a metal panel that has been spot welded around the tunnel. They positioned this peice in one spot for auto and one spot for manual. So yes the bodys are different, but this is the only difference. Auto/Manual tailshafts appeared to be the same length too. I did find a thread on here on where to bridge it, its a peice of piss. Where the fuse box is in the engine bay there are some grey plugs on top of eachother. I really cant remember which one you do, but basically you splice into one of the wires on one of those grey plugs and you bridge it into another one of the plugs there.. Search and you will find, thats how I worked out what to do -
pulled cluster out, on the back there is a area for a airbag globe, but there is no picture on the other side to illuminate :S so I guess the cluster has been changed to a series 1 33 cluster

Purchased a car this week and slowly finding things that are suprising me First thing I found is my 33 Series 2 is just a GTS with the auto box, but has had a series 1 RB25DET, manual box & ecu fitted as well as all the driveline/hubs ect... what is concerning me is when I turn the ignition on, there is no airbag light on the dash. Apart from checking the globe, any suggestions on why it wouldnt be showing up. Car doesnt appear to have been in an accident. is having a series 1 ECU in it going to be a cause?

R32 Manual Conversion
BANGN replied to partyboy73's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
you will need to modify the gearbox bracket. The 4 bolt holes that are in the body for the bracket are further forward in an auto, the hole in the floor is also in a different position but thats ok. what will happen is regardless if you use an auto/manual bracket (they are the same anyway) you will go to bolt up the bracket and only one hole on each side will line up, you will need to either modify the bracket like I did to make it longer and drill 2 new holes for the other two bolts.. OR get two flat steel bar peices and bolt them to the underside of the bracket, recess the head of one of the bolts into the chassis and drill a hole at the other end of the bar to mount into the body. you will then need to bridge the neutral park switch circuit so it thinks its in park all the time, otherwise it wont start -
box is f**kered... super

my 33 has a harsh vibration I cant seem to pin point. its nothing like a steering wobble or wheel ballance issue. The feeling is like someone has attached a vibrator to the chassis and it only does it under load. Boot it and there is no vibration at all, doing 50km/hr, put it in 3rd gear and plant it and you get the vibration. Put it in 5th at 50km/hr and plant it and the parcel shelf starts vibrating. I have checked the exhaust incase it was resting against something and that failed. Gearbox mount doesnt "appear" to have perished. It will do it in any gear underload and i know the clutch is rooted, the box is quiet as a mouse spinning in neutral, doesnt have any roll over noise. Not something I have experienced before so im hoping someone has. im just hoping its not the gearbox, I wouldnt of thought so as like I said, the vibration under enough load can rattle the parcel shelf im waiting for a video I have uploaded to youtube so once thats uploaded I will post it here cheers in advance

Well I stripped out the headlamp and painted the inside shroud matt black.. now to do the other side! got to straighten up the projector lamp in this one. rears are +37 x9 on 235s, I really need to roll the rears so I can run 245's fronts are only 225s on 8's but I am going to upgrade these to 235s soon! if I ran 9's on the front they would stick out the guards I think. side indicators are VY comonwhore!

yep.. I dare say you havnt used sikaflex before LOL you will break the glass before you get it off again. Its the same strength urethane product used to holding down your windscreen. I never rush things btw funkymonkey.. have you got some pics of what your headlamps looked like on the car after you were done?
-
just a silicone remover yeh? like you would use on bathroom glass? I have some of that at home... I was just going to use some sikaflex to slap em back together
