  1. If they are my only options:,, I'd get the RX7....Sex on wheels!! If your in that sort of range why not a 33 or 34 GTR? Go the 34!
  2. I get 380-400kms from a tank around town, and about 450 or more out on the highway, but I have not used a full tank on a highway trip yet so can't give an acurate answer. Not a chance in hell I'm driving on a dirt road at more than 5km/h In the rain....woooooo....Very slippery!!!! might need different tyres but it doesn't rain much. My opinion is get a cheap GTS (No turbo) to learn in then upgrade later. Not so bad if you ding a pole or something. This can also give you more of an appreciation of the turbo power instead of just taking it for granted and being sadly disappointed when you drive something else. Don't forget the more you pay for the initial cost of the car,,the more it will cost to maintain..(as a general rule to allow for budget.)
  3. Sounds good!!! What about Standley Chasm or Jim's Place or something? last time i went to Ross River (about a month or so ago) they were really rude to us when we arrived, so we turned around and left. Very rudely informed us that our cans of coke which we were drinking are against licensing rules! and NO food or drink can be taken onto the property. This guy was an obnoxious pig and deffinately not in customer service, He didn't even ask if we were going to buy lunch or anything.Felt totally unwelcome there!!!! The only part that's not sealed is the entry, though the road is only single lane in places.
  4. Yeah , that would be better, I can't get this sunday off. But next weekend Saturday is good. OK now what time?
  5. Hey Wez! Welcome aboard.. It's pretty quiet in this neck of the woods but there's a few around. You ever come down to Alice?

  8. tough choice. Out of those colours I say Nismo Blue. as it's not as common and black gets hotter, shows dirt more. And I think the blue just looks great, it highlights the lines of the car. 2 tone looks great too with the right style!
  9. Hey fab, try Matt at Tyrepower on whittaker st, He may still have one from his, which he wrote off a while back. Is yours the one that often parked near paint & panel? (near train yards)
  10. definately bias, but if you post a similar thred on an AUDI forum then compare the results...I'd like to know how many AUDI fans want the new GTR....... I'd want to "test drive" both before making a final decision but the GTR would be my pick.
  11. yeah, really wrong.... u get one tool doing 40 in the lane you wanted and everyone else goes flying past in the other.... you know who the tools are....in their falcons..
  12. lol, yeah i think i followed you half way to town then you got stuck in traffic at the round about and followed me in... ???? and that'd be funny.. I be thinking..What the?? who's this guy think he his..lol ..
  13. Yeah, seen/heard you cruisin past. Pretty loud man..! as for schmick,,,this rain is filthy on the car.
  14. Your right it is a lot of $$$.. but it is also easier, you don't put the extra k's on the clock, no risk of hitting a roo or anything. It could still get damaged but at least any major damaged is covered by the transport company. Driving yourself would be a great chance to get a feel for a new car.
  15. If you want to do much sight seeing go with a 4WD like the Landcruiser or something for the above reasons. Some of the really good places are 4WD only or recommended. As for fuel outside Alice I think 98 octane is not available at many places. I always carry a jerry of fuel in the back seat on long trips, some say it is dangerous though..(but so is a fuel tank.)
