  1. I've used ceva and wasn't entirely happy (took 2 weeks longer than quoted, customer service was lacking), plus they are more expensive than others. Was very happy with Patricks when i used them. Often some of the smaller companies might 'truck share' and put your car on ceva anyway, so you can get the same service a bit cheaper.
  2. An Ombudsman/ACCC reference number can make a big difference to their attitude. I was having some issues and got to this point, the moment i gave him a case number I got everything i wanted. The beauty was they still get investigated by ACCC =) You do need to make reasonable effort to find a solution, so i would suggest trying to identify the faulty ones (likely all 6!) and let him replace them all, then when they are still faulty you have full right to demand refund. The law state they can offer 'Repair, Replacement or Refund' but you don't get to chose which, they do. So you do need to go through the long painful process. Phone the Ombudsman/ACCC and have a chat, they will advise what you should do.
  3. Get the paypal dispute underway. Call the ombudsman and get a reference number and advise him of what you are doing. Is he an aussie seller or over seas?
  4. Ahh poison! i hate that word "cheap" haha. just remember you get what you pay for. cheap now means costs more later =) Hope you find a bargain mate. If you change your mind and want something "good" instead, mine might be for sale in the future.
  5. coming along nicely! We always love a good tutorial =)

  8. So we seem to actually have a few people posting in here recently, lets make the most of it and have a small catch up! Got the mother-in-law over from UK for another week but after that I have a month before the father-in-law arrives, so can spare a couple hours some time. What suits best? Sat / Sun/ weekday, Time? I prefer earlyish so not out too late, getting old! haha!!
  9. Temporary exhaust leak. Check all bolts and gaskets
  10. Someone should make a thread about this. Would be really helpful so you can just search for the answer and not have to wait for some to say it depends on how you use the car etc. ....
  11. Welcome mate. Bring on the pics!!! Best advice you will get; Learn to use the search function. Its all here somewhere already. Once you have a good understanding of your question and still need more specific info people will respond a lot better and help out as much as possible. Those who do a bit of research and help themselves get a lot more help from others. =)
  12. What is this dose? No body has ever done this.
  13. looking for a R33 Gtst Series 2 Grill. preferably in BN6 Blue or Black.
  14. Welcome to SAU!, I have definitely read a thread about this exact issue. do a thorough search and you will find some info i am sure. use google to search and add SAU in the search criteria for better results than the inbuilt search function.
  15. Theres heaps of meets and cruises. just unfortunately not through SAU =(
  16. * 40th Anniverssary. good luck champ =)
  17. only you can decide how to spend your money. comes down to how much you WANT to get this new flash car. Financially its not a good move but if its what will make you happy spend up =) I am in a similar position and was considering selling both our cars (focus and r33) and buying one to suit all our needs (xr5 turbo) for 20k. worked out that keeping the 2 cars would be cheaper than converting to 1, even considering insurance, rego etc, Its the WANT factor that you need to control, weigh that against affordability and long term need/want.
  18. Take it to a mechanic for a service and they will sus it out.
