so it re-arms, but you can still start the car.? Have you tried disconnecting the battery again? How long was the battery disconnected for?

What alarm is installed? do you have more than 1 fob to control it? might be the button is stuck. Can you start and drive the car at all? what happens.? How long have you had the car? Did this just start happening? Something spill on the fob or alarm box? I wonder if a flattening battery in fob can cause false signals..

when I moved down from the NT it was just paperwork. I got here, changed my license to SA, then changed the car to SA. they gave me plates over the counter then I returned the NT ones. No inspection at all. although I had purchased the car from SA about 12months prior, so was registered in NT for less than a year. (don't know if that had any effect)

Zip ties and stickers everywhere you are more likely to get picked on. Get rude to the cops and you will get picked on. I think yours looks pretty nice and clean and stock so should not get targeted too much. but drop it too low and that will draw attention as its obvious. Also comes down to a bit of luck and what area you are driving in. Spend all day driving around Elizabeth and you will probably get pulled up..

I agree that its a sad thing to do, BUTT I also think its just as sad that people get so upset and vocal about it. I just have a laugh shake my head and move on, no need to waste my time and everyone elses with childish insults about something which is their choice. Nice looking stag mate. To lower it you need to get suspension which is lower. Any reputable mechanic or suspension specialist can do it. Hit the search feature on the forum to help you decide what to get and how much it will cost. Do you want it to be legal? cheap? for track or road use? You got some homework to do bud =) My old 33 had Pedders lowered springs on the standard struts and that was perfect for my use. Still legal and looked better.

Then you don't have time to do the build either.. Give your car to a specialist workshop, tell them you want to do 300km/hr and give them all your money.. Your are not the only person with other commitments, what you want is not a simple thing, not even sure you know what you want so you should start there =) Work out if your goal is actually attainable with the investment you are prepared to make (including time and money)

I suggest you do some research instead of just asking some random person. Become familiar with the search function and do some reading and you will have most of your questions answered and also be able to make judgements for yourself and your specific wants/needs.

I'd think they had stopped using asbestos in them by the 90's. I doubt they would pass through importing if they contained it.

all 3 of my cars Timers were wired to the park brake. Current car, I have removed the timer myself, already had connectors on the wires so I only had to cut the earth as it was spliced into another wire. So easy to put back in should I choose to. Just google the wiring diagram, its pretty simple to remove yourself if you want to.

the engine was 2 German guys in a sauna =)
