    Offence codes

Hmmm, don't know why the ticket says street racing. But I don't think it would make a difference at court. Fail to comply with licence conditions - 2 points. No P plates - 2 points. You could always go to court and say the reason you did the burnout is cos you don't know how to drive a manual..lol.
  2. I had a Turbosmart Supersonic Type 3. It was good, no complaints at all. Bit loud though so I returned to my stock plumbback and the car drives heaps better. Just doesn't get wheelspin on the 3rd gear change anymore, just a little chirp now if I try hard enough.. So to those people that say they are not a performance part must be wrong. It obviously gave my car more boost after gear changes. Still got the BOV if anybody wants it.

    Offence codes

I you tell me the offence codes I will find out for you.
  7. Hey Skylineakt - did you get any 0 - 100kmh or 1/4 mile figures from the G-Tech. Would be interesting to know what they are cos it will give a good idea of whether your car is performing ok. I believe you have to wiegh your car before using the G-Tech. Don't just use the factory wieght figures. You have to consider driver and a passenger if any and the amount of fuel should be similar when u wiegh it and test it on the G-Tech.
  8. EVOIV - those 206kw figures are a fantasy... Most jap cars with that figure are always more. Im sure if you would calculate as 20% - 25% you would come to a better figure.
  9. Yeah I would have said 20% to 30% for rwd depending on the type of car. Not all are going to be the same.
  10. 170hp is 126.8kw. Is that really low for your car with 11psi and catback exhaust. Considering catback wouldnt be doing a whole lot from standard.
  11. Yeah would help if you could be more specific but it could be your catalytic converter or a muffler. Could be one of the heatsheilds under the car. You have to go over the car and tap everything to try and produce the rattle. Is it rattling when the exhaust is hot or cold or both.
  12. Yeah just thought it would be something to consider when buying one. I read this in a jap import magazine. The reason they say is that keeping the service history up to scratch on a new car in Japan would make absolutely no difference to the value of the car when the time comes to sell or trade. Cos they wont get much back either way..
  13. I've heard that the Japanese have a bad reputation for not servicing their cars. Except for the enthusiast's cars I've heard that most of the stockish imports coming to Australia would probably have a poor service history. Can anyone confirm this?
  14. Well if thats the case I can't think of any other parts you would need to supply them with. If your buying the gearbox from a jap importer sometimes they leave a small section of the driveshaft in the back of the box to stop the oil spilling out during transit. They just cut it with an oxy the lazy buggers. If they do this then I dont think you would have to buy one cos u can just swap the uni joints around from your auto driveshaft. Should check on this cos it will save you some money.
  15. Spigot bearing?? Im guessing they would be different on R32 auto and manual. Are you doing this yourself?
  16. I vote we stop getting into these arguements with Holden and Ford owners at their respective sites. We don't want to awaken them.... What would the streets be like without a good ole Commodore to whup every now and then. We should not be trying to teach them any better. Let them stay over there in Jurassic Park...
  17. This is good news I reckon. In an attempt to make a mockery out of some world class manufacturers like Porsche and Ferrari, Holden bent the rules and produced a purpose built race car that was almost up to the pace of the HRT V8 supercars. Holden would have known that this car would never have made it into production. They have cheated everybody and deserve to have the trophy taken away from them.... I believe that Holden had alot do do with the organising and the funding of the 24 hour race at Bathurst last year.. Hmmmm. This could have somethin to do with it. And is it true that Lamborgini didnt compete in the race cos they knew that Holden were cheating? I heard this on the news.
  18. Also no different to drilling a second hole at the end of the actuator rod, making the rod shorter when u fit it back onto the waste gate.
  19. I have had three exhuast systems on my car and the third one, from Liverpool exhuasts, is the best out of the three. All the others f**ked up. Liverpool Exhausts done the neatest job and lowest price. (the other two cracked at the dump pipe)
