Hey , Got my car from Japan today - Driving it home, realised that the rear suspension squeaks to buggery !! It's really annoying as it only happens when you are going really slowly with little to no engine noise. Its like the rear shocks go down like 1-2mm and it make this god awful noise. The car has after market coils and shocks - don't know what brand yet as I haven't had time to pull the back wheels off. All four corners are damn stiff though. Put it this way, you open the boot and push down on the rear and you can hear this noise squeak thu the chassis. It sounds like the shocks need a bit of an oil - But I thought this was all internal ?? The car handles well and can take a fairly decent pothole without jarring too much. Can anyone gimme some advice on what to look for or what to do with this problem ?? Many Thanks,

Mooks, I'm gonna get a Band Expanda for the Naka - I'll see how it goes - If it doesn't work with my existing kit (Kicker Amps, etc) Then I'll be looking for a home for it. I'll post how I go with it all. Thanks all !

Thanks Nick, Is it only inside of the bar/spolier that you need to trim ?? That is: the side that faces the radiator ? I'm comfortable trimming the bar from this perspective, But if you have to do any external trimming that requires re-paiting or whatever, I'm not up for that. I think I'll just buy a cooler kit and attempt the install, and if it all goes to 5hit, put it back together and get someone else to fit later. The UAS kit sounds good. Guys, Although I wasn't there (10 days to go b 4 I get my car) - I would suggest, rather than blaming anyone, lets use this experience to try and avoid it happeneing again in the future. Cruising is heaps fun and it'd be a shame to let an isolated incident possibly make others feel reluctant to organise further cruises.

Hmmmm 400R Front bar hey ? Sorry, I have no idea what that is. Mine is a 95 R33 with an M-Spec kit on it - I know the front bar is different to standard, but it is also different to yours. Anyone know if I'll need to hack the front bar ? If so how much and is it fairly stright forward ?? Thanks

Anyone fitted a FMIC kit before ?? I know Nick (By By) has, but he cheated and used UAS's hoist. Can such a thing be done at home in a normal garage - Anyone got instructions or know where to get ? I know you have to cut the front bat - Are the cuts visble from the front ?? What's the potential for a FUBAR ? Is there an analogy someone can give me like: * If you can port & polish a head, & hi flow a turbo you can fit a FMIC or * If you can change a clutch you can fit a FMIC or * If you can do an oil change you can fit a FMIC or * IF you have never fitted a FMIC before, don't attemt with out professional help. My Car came with a Nakamishi CR/Tuner (Single DIN) and Nakamishi (Single DIN) Mini Disc player. From what I understand Nakamishi is a pretty good brand of stereo - Well in Hi Fi anyway - I didn't know they made Car Audio stuff. So my question is - How good do these band expanders work ?? Is it worth while doing to this unit ?? As I have a fairly new Sony Head Unit that I was going to put in (cause I didn't expect to get a good stereo with the car). If I take the Nakamishi out, not sure if the Mini Disc will still work with the new Sony. Also, I have 2 Amps (One for Main Speakers x 4 ) and one for Sub - Don't know if these will work with Nakamish or not as I'm not sure if the Desk has 2 x RCA outs. (I know my Sony does) Anyhoo - Help is appreciated.
