  1. COSMO POWER ! It's a ripper ! Tripple rotor - twin turbo. Leather - like new. Low, and stealth ! Yeah Baby ! I'm back ! Now - exhaust, boost, bigger FMIC, ECU, Oh shit - I've started agaiN !
  2. Hi All, I need to get a custom exhaust done in stainless - full mandrel bends, hi-po / quality mufflers and cat. Don't want to drive to whoop whoop. Anyone recomend a place Northside ? Cheers, B-Man
  3. UPDATE ! Well, for those of you who said that 928 owners are wankers ! YOU ARE CORRECT ! I looked at a few and spoke to a fair few owners - they are all up themselves and think the 928 is God's gift to cars - And after driving a few - they are definitely not ! So - Project Porsce is scrapped ! I have yet again come to my senses. Well at least for the minute. Anyhoooo. Since I have gone off the style of the Aristo - Yeah, they do look like a Camry - I contemplated what to get. I didn't want a Skyline again (sorry boys) - been there done that - twice...... I wanted a good performer - good looks - not too much attention .... so Today I bought this: Yeah - I am crazy ! But it is a very very nice car ! And, yes - it is a 20B twin turbo !
  4. Just get a Garrett TO4Z - drill some holes in it and there you go , you have an HKS turbo !! JUST KIDDING !
  5. Glad to hear that she has been good to you ! As she was for me too ! Good luck with the sale ! And although I do miss her, I am on my way to bigger and better (and more expensive) things, Cheers,
  6. From the info you have provided - my bet is on the turbo. I would only ever buy a new turbo - unless, I knew and trusted the person I was buying it from
  7. Fatz - you are dreaming mate - just did a search on carsales.com. Cheapest 911 that is post 1995 is like $90K. More like 120K-140K. 911's that are <50K are 1970's models as har as I can tell Porsche's post 1995 between 30K and 60K are only Boxters. (everyone has one of them)
  8. Have you driven a 928 and a 911 Richard ? I'd like get some user feedback on the differences. AKAIK they are totally different cars. The 911 being a much trickier to drive being rear engined. Whilst the 928 is front engines with near perfect 50:50 weight distribution. 911's are a classic, yes. And the 928 wasn't what Porshe was hoping for. Porsche poured billions & billions (OK it migh millions and millions) into R&D for the 928 as the president at the time had a vision that the 928 would overtake the 911 as being the super car of the future. Unfortunately the public still craved the 911 - so 18 years after the first 928 hit the streets, the 928 was phased out. IN 1995 a 928 GTS sold for near on $250,000. Of the cars I have seen and the owners I have spoken to, when I ask the reason for sale - 100% of the either have upgrades from a 928S to a 928 GT or 928GTS or are in the process of upgrading. These are all club cars and have been meticulously maintained. When the 928 was introduced - it was the fasted GT tourer in the world. The engineering was leap years ahead of the competition at the time. I think the workd views 928s as a 'nugget' (as you put it) due to the pooer marketing and lack of accpetance in the market place - Doesn't mean they are a bad car. Yes you can get lemons - cars that have been poorly maintained - but you can lemon 911s to - or for that matter any other type of car. The Style appeals to me - The V8 appeals to me - They sound awesome with the rear muffler removed. They are the right price for me. They are a classic no longer in production. Yes, parts are expensive (so are all Porshe parts). They don't sound like a VW either
  9. Why better Pete ?
  10. $900 for a new core for the HKS 3040
  11. When I was birning white smoke (under decelaration ) it was oil seal in turbo - Scary shite when you see all that smoke coming from your rear end.
  12. I did a compression test on my car when it had a Microtech L12 installed. The damn ECU blew up - apparently you are meant to unplug the whole damn thing when you do a compression test - Don't have to do that with a Power FC
  13. 6boost Give Kyle a call - http://www.6boost.com
  14. You reckon ? I think they are damn sexy. Bring on the Land Shark !
  15. I wish ! Even the old 911s are pretty expensive - 1972 non turbos go for upwards of 35K. Cheapest turbo is like 50K Concourse cars (even 928's) are upwards of 60-70K
  16. $3000-$5000 per year. Cost to insure a fully worked Aristo ???? About the same. Resale value - Much better with the Porsche. Market - not the same as a Skyline / Supra / Aristo. 40+ yo guys that have no objection in spending $$ on their prides and joy. BTW - It's a rare manual !
  17. Damn it's sold ! Who the hell would by a Mighty Boy for $11K - nuts ! Nuts ! Even nuttier than buying a Porsche 928S - Beautiful piece of engineering - Style Class - 220rwkw performance from a 20 year old car - that WILL pul the chicks. V8 POWA ! ! I wonder if you can get and HKS twin GT-RS kit for a 928S ? Yeah Baby !
  18. What about this one Nick ?
  19. Project Aristo looks like it will be scrapped aftera long hard reality check. $15K on the car $20K+ in modifications $35K total. When done, the car will be worth like $18k or less (as by then everyone will be imnporting them). Purpose - spending $35K on a car to take it to the drags once a month is a damn expensive hobby. And I know myself - if I am not getting the times - I would go spending another $15K on it to try and get the times. $50K. So when reality set in, and I asked myself, what do do I really want in a car, I came up with this ! Cheaper insurance Looks Style Engineering Performance Cheaper outright purchase Cons are - higher than normal running costs (repairs, parts, etc) but not as expensive a putting a T04Z on a 2J
  20. Thanks dude - but that is not my car ! It's just like one that I will be getting ! Cheers,
  21. Cool - keep us posted. I think I will have all my 'go fast bits' before the car arrives and is complied. This is the list so far: HKS TO4Z kit - Turbo, Manifold, Wastegate, Intake Sard Fuel rail & 800cc injectors Duel Fuel pumps system Blitz or HKS Cooler kit Blitz or Custom Exhaust HKS Cams 264/264 Jun Cam Gears Greddy E-Manage Utimate OR AEM ECU Blitz SBCid3 Boost Control MV Stage II tricked auto& Tranny cooler HKS - Timing Belt Still working out Suspension and Wheels
  22. Did they say that they have done any or have lots on the way ?
  23. Bugga - what a crock. Thanks for the heads up ! Looks like stock it is ! But I aint gettin one with that horrible tan interior. !
  24. Ryan, Geoff told me no probs with wheels etc - as long as everything is returned to stock for compliance (Which adds cost of course). But say with a set of wheels - easy to put stocks on - save heaps over buying a set. Perhaps suspension, body kits, engine bay stuff is not the go as too expansive to swap over and swap back
