  1. Hi Lukas - Why did you choose Cairns (not that there is anything wrong with that) . I am selling my place in Sydney and will most likely be moving to the Sunshine Coast. Cairns was second on my list, but I got disuaded by the Crocs on the beach and being that much mor further North. Just interested in your reasoning - I like cairns cause it has a bigger population / workforce than the Sunny coast - and not as many retirees (I think). I also have a mate up there that has just started a lollie shop and is doing really well. Anyway - good luck with the move and hope it all goes well for you . Cheers,
  2. You are such a girl Merli
  3. I understand that they are legal on the street.
  4. Might bring Dad's twin turbo Soarer down for this one. Or maybe the Gloria ? Or maybe the Pajero .... So many options....
  5. Go to the pics in my gallery on SAU http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/photopost...e=12&ppuser=408&= You can see them here. If you want close ups - wait till the weekend and I will clean them up and post close ups. Ben - you know you want them mate - We can work on a deal - jiggy jiggy

  7. Deposit Taken - This car is as good as sold.
  8. Chuck them in gaol for 6 months with all the murders and child molestors......... Anyone with the lack of respect for human life like these guys have should be severly disciplined.
  9. Will Sell for $33K minus Buddy Clubs...... Am getting a bit of interest in this Unique Car
  10. Adam - try and get an HKS 2835 Pro S low mount - I reckon they are the best performance / response. Yes you might pay a bit extra for HKS - But they are the Shit and resale is better than hi flow.
  11. There's a council car park on Whistler St - Another one near Coles, Parking under Manly Wharf too - Plus there is street parking - you may have to do a few laps, but you always get one. What are you guys on about - there is plenty of parking in Manly ! Anyway - I vote for R&R Manly - cause I can walk home from there Plus the steaks are great. BTW - If you wanna buy one of those Steak Knives that they use there - don't get it form R&R ($20 or something) - Go to the 'House of Knives' - $6.50 each - They are DAMN GOOD STEAK KNIVES.
  12. I need to be by the water
  13. **** S O L D ******
  14. From what I can gather , after speaking to various people and reading Council Planning docs, etc - The Sunny Coast has just been through a bit of a boom over the last few years. I don't think it is the same as it was say 5 years ago. I don't know when the_paladin last visited the area.... I do plan to come up and sus out the place - see if I like it - I will probablly reant for 6-12 months to make sure - then buy a place if I think I will stay. But from the sounds of it - seems ideal Thanks for all the comments (positive and negative - they all help)
  15. Car is in Sydney Can get engine pics - will upload later. It's essentially a stock as a rock engine but does have a pod filter (Standard Air box is included) There have been absolutely no problems at all with the car at all. It has only done 50K kms. In the time I have had it, I have serviced it and that's all it has needed. An extremeley reliable car.... Cheers,
  16. Tough Crowd...... $6K is a bargain for this car..... geez Slightly negotiable
  17. I've just been looking at house prices on the net - there seems to be a fair few 'retirees areas' Seems to me that Noosa is the most expensive, Then Moololaba, Maroochy and Caloundra - might be wrong though - Kawana sounds nice - Then there is Paradise somethingoraother Like you said nismo33 - I think the best bet is to come up and take a peek around. I'm thinking of buying a 2 or 3 bedroom place that needs some work on it - So if I dont' get a job straight away , I'll renovate myself, then sell for a profit and maybe do it again or perhaps by then I will have found a job or started a business. Anyway - I am quite excited about this. There are lots of pro's and not many con's. So when I move up, does that mean I have to support Qld in the state of origin ?? he he he he
  18. Hey Guys - this has been a great help - So thanks very much. I've just discovered that one of my good friends Father has retired to the Sunshine Coast. He has offered to put me up for a weekend or so and show me around. He is (or was) in real estate, so he knows what is good and not so good. So looks like I might come up soon. I understand there is an airport in Maroochy - that's a big sign of growth. However, we don't want the area to get too big like Sydney do we I visited the Sunshine Coast for a holiday about 10 years ago - I guess a lot has changed since then - I remember a nightclub call Rumours (I think) - Got very pissed there one time he he Too many Flaming Lamboghinis..... What sort of Industries are there up there ? Obviously tourist and hospitality stuff. What about manufacturing ?? Any Hi Tech ?? My current role is as an IT Architect - I guess there are not so many jobs up there for a role like that ? However, I have 16 years of experience with computers and shit like that - so I'm wondering if there are jobs in that industry ?? Maybe I could start my own business - "Sunshine Computer Services" hmm I like the sound of that Prolly already done though.... Anyhow - I'm too fussed about jobs - something always pops up. And my seachange is for a better lifestyle - not a career - so who cares - as long as I have some $$ to spend on food and petrol and the odd beer Anyway - thanks for all the feedback again Cheers,
  19. Like the PFC commander - remove it from the ECU when you don't need it - Good idea
  20. Good stuff Geoff - We'll have to catch up and have a beer and talk shit..... Most of my buddies are after a seachange too - I wonder what it is ??? For me - I looked at house prices, quality of living...Plus, I can sell my place in Sydney , buy a place at the Sunshine Coast and have no mortgage - Plus if I even earn half of what I am earning at the moment, I would have more disposable income than I do currently.... Why wouldn't you do it ?? Cheers,
  21. Ahh - I see. I did assume that it was a standard RS-232 connection. If that were the case then you would only need 7 or 5 or 3 wires - depending on how it serial connection was designed. But yeah - if they are non-standard, discrete connections you will have to refer to the circuit diagrams - IDC connectors (hard drive cables) might be the go
  22. SK - I think the best way to go WRT cable - is to get a DB25 to DB9 flat converter. Then you get a small DB9 to UTP converter - Run UTP from the HC to the fuel computer and use what ever cables you want at the FC end. It's still going to be a bit cumbersome. Maybe replace the DB25 on the HC with a UTP connector ? I've been eyeing those Jaycar kits for ages - Will keen to know the results. Cheers,
