  1. Just looked that link to the SA rego rules and : To me this has me covered - Cause I own the car and have current rego in my name - as long as I keep it in my name - which I will, then no inspection required. The inspection is only required (by my reading) for people who purchase a car from another state, from someone else - This would be to maintain the car's identity. Coolies
  2. Yes - sure am. Got to get it back from all the mechanical first. As you can see it's muti-coloured blue/silver. The plan was that I was going to spray it myself with the help from a mate who knows what he is doing. But if I come to Adelaide, the girlies cuz is a spray painter - COOL !
  3. Hasn't been on Dyno yet - just finishing it off now. Which is why I don't really want to sell it and get something else if/when we move - It's been in the workshop for ages and I haven't enjoyed it yet ! Plus, I have spent heaps on it - Well not heaps - but I won't get it all back if I sell it.
  4. New turbo Some more accessories to be fitted
  5. During the build
  6. During the build (original turbo)
  7. OK - You asked for it - 56K beware ! Car when I got it
  8. Thanks for the info guys. My car could be a problem ..... My original S12 came with the crappy CA20E motor - It was basically stock when I got it. Since then I have put an FJ20ET in there. Along with a few other mods..... * High mount KKK (blitz) turbo * 60mm External W/G vented to atmo (kinda hidden) * BOV vented to atmo (hidden) * Haltech E6X Engine Management * FMIC * R33 4 pots on the front replaced the single pots * R31 discs on the rear replaced the original drums * Detroit locker diff * S15 5 speed G/B * One piece tail shaft * Gauges all over the shop * Oil Cooler & Filter relocation * Catch can * S13 coilover conversion at the front * 60mm lowered springs and HQ shocks at the read The car still looks pretty stock from the outside - the only giveaways are the momo wheels, semi slicks and FMIC But when you open the bonnet - it does not look standard. perhaps another option for me is to transfer the rego to my parents - then keep the NSW rego on it ???
  9. Its not 100% decided yet - gotta work out some stuff with the family courts as she has kids and needs to apply to take them inter state - and the ex is a fark tard Most likely Feb next year or later
  10. Hey Fellow SAU'ers, My girlie is originally from Adelaide and wants to move back there in the new year, for certain reasons - which I am supportive of. So looks like I will be moving too. Having never been to SA before and not knowing a hell of a lot about the place, I thought I'd ask my like minded colleagues some questions that of vital importance to me I have a highly modified S12 Gazelle that is registered in NSW (not engineered, as I am 41, good driving record etc, and cops don't touch me even when pulled over and inspected etc) What's involved in transferring rego from NSW to SA ? I recall a thread that 'Steve' started years ago that went on about "regency" and their more than anal attitude to registering modified cars - Is this still the case ?? What am I up for here ?? What's the off street scene like ? Drags, Circuit, Drift etc ? Do you guys have a few events etc ?? What tracks are good ? How about parts places and workshops ? What sort of selection have you got ? And in general - what's the car scene like ? I find in NSW the scene is divided into idiots and enthusiasts - I fit into the latter category Over and above the car stuff: What's a good suburb to live in ? Most likely I will be working in the CBD - I'm hoping to keep my job at the big T or get a transfer so I'm guessing housing is a little more affordable than Sydney. And lastly - are there any ex pat NSWelshmen on here that can fill me in on the hot tips you learnt on the differences and similarities between Adelaide and Sydney ?? Thanks heaps Cheers, Brendan
  11. NOPE - not ready - spewing. One day I'll be back out. Hopefully soon When is the next event ???
  12. All I need is the box - nothing else But let me know what you got Cheers, Location : Sydney
  13. I think Bob, that is what you think about ME - not my car Ha ha ! 100 x smoke on the water with full volume and full gain
  14. The previous owner of the KKK reckons he ran 320rwkw on an RB20DET So if I get enough fuel into it - who knows ???? It's a farken great turbo - took it to the shop today - The exhaust housing is smaller than the T3 turbo and the Compressor housing is much bigger - This should equate to faster spool and more power
  15. Ibanez necks are too thin & skinny for my hands - I've had 2 and although the action low and fast, not good for me..... My LP Gibson had the fat 50's style neck - Love it. I've also got an old Isana (German) - same as the one Elvis used to play (Black Isana is legend - do a google search) - it's 60 years old - lovely guitar to look at - crap to play - has a curved neck on the string side - Not a scratch on it - was my dad's Anyway - WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY CAR !
  16. Authentic Les Paul Gibson - Just got a new belter of a tube amp for it today ! So much nicer than my crappy old amp

  18. YEP - Trying to get it ready for that. Keep your fingers and toes crossed Some more bits & pieces Oil Cooler & Filter relocation kit. Better intercooler clamps Catch Can
  19. New Turbo: KKK - K27 (KKK make Blitz turbos)
