  1. What comes with the VL bottom end ? ? is it a S2 ??
  2. Umm - have you sold the 3037 alread ??
  3. Oh Steve - stocking it hey..... Bummer. All that time and $$ you put into it - I feel for you buddy - Must have been a hard decision. I've been thinking the same - or at least selling the car complete and moving to the next project - But then I think of all the dam $$ i have spent on it and just can't bring myself to do it........... Good luck with it man.
  4. You guys are on drugs...... Hand them over
  5. I think you are right SK - I have only heard of good things of ram tubes within a plenum on a turbo car
  6. Those RIPS plenums look awsome !
  7. I had "No Bullshit Imports" (on the Northern Beaches) change my turbo recently. Nice blokes there, really know their stuff. Although they take a bit longer to do stuff, their excellent hourly rate more than makes up for it. They don't charge any more (or less) if they are doing something for the first time - they will tell you up front (hence the name 'No Bullshit Imports") They are more than capable and really looked after me - Even had a beer with them after the job. Cheers
  8. Are you nuts Ed - buy it !
  9. Oi - back OT please So if I were to get a 1989 Pajero (2.5L) or Safari aka Cruiser (4.0L) And I wanted to get some more grunt - what's the best best way to do it ? (keeping the diesel motor) Can I boost it ? If not why ? Can I fit a bigger Cooler , Bigger Turbo (T88) he he Or is this completely not worth it ?
  10. I'd reckon it would be a bit dodgy - diesels don't rev well past 3000-4000 RPM so their turbos would be designed to make power in this range - I guess you could use a turbo of an 8.0 litre Diesel on a 2.5 litre petrol engine - but hey - I am not about to go trial and error that sort of shite.
  11. I didn't weight my P1s, but they are HEAPS lighter than my other Jap alloys - you can tell just by changing the wheels.
  12. Having said that and a bit of research on this Turbo (look here: http://www.precisionturbo.net/turbocharger...ategory_id=3027) The Presision T-67 is rated at 780HP Thats one big F'off turbo. That'd be one laggy ho
  13. From the thread: I need more convincing that what is in that thread
  14. I Know it's not Skylines but still forced induction OK: I'm looking into a 4WD , particularly a diesel turbo - And was wondering: Are diesel turbos subject to the same general rules of modification as petrol turbos ? ie If you whack a bigger turbo on - do you need to change ECU, injectors etc ?? Are the A/F ration for max performance the same ? Can you increase boost the stock engines like you can on a petrol turbo ? What is safe ? How much difference does an intercooler make ?? Same is a petrol ? Can you increase your exhuast flow (ie bigger exhaust) for more performance ? What are the gotchas ?? Can you point me to some good diesel turbo web sites ?? Have tried a google search and not much luck ? Any other tips ?? Cheers,
  15. If you do a search, I asked the same thing a while back !
  16. Sounds like a plan mate - good idea. Boat leaves on the 2nd of November
  17. I talked to Nathan today - and he will do all the work on Dad's Soarer when it comes in - including all fluids - and timing belt = thumbs up for Grey Imports
  18. Buy a multimeter dude -
  19. Damn that is a BiG F'Off turbo - look at the size of the exhaust housing - it's nearly bigger than the compressor housing - that is TOP END power !
  20. Price Drop to $7500 until it gets in the Trading Post. For a limited time, the car is for sale at $7500. It is going to go in the Trading post and Car Sales etc - in the next week or so at $8500. So if you interested - gimme a hoy.
  21. Redline But not often
  22. Yes - but only 9 PSI ( on a 3040) Boost won't hurt your run in as long as it's controlled and gradual - Load is good for run in - as long as it is controlled - like I said. Stay away from constant revs during run in ! Change gears a lot
  23. Yeah - nice smooth curve - unlike mine which is a bit all over the place. Oh BTW - DB Don't forget that I have a big FO bar and plate intercooler to ensure that the so called 'hot air' is sufficiently cooled before it goes in the engine Not taking ANYTHING away from Grepin - But I would have thought that a Externally wastegated, top mount 2835 would have performed a little bit better then a an internally gated low mount. Thanks for posting Grepin - you have damn good power and nice curve. Don't get me wrong - my car is still damn fast - It scares me more than the 3040 - cause on the street it is soo much more zippy. Cheers fellas
  24. Who won ?? I am too pissed to fin dout - been down the bar ar mnly suinking scooies - I hope a Holdn won.... ' chers big eers
  25. Yes that's right Umm but before the intercooler On the pipe from the turbo to the cooler ! I think - well that is where the E-boost is plumbed in I'll check where they tapped in the Dyno boost input
