  2. hey guys, i have been reading some threads about DIY painting FMIC to black. THings i have done are: spraying it with etch primer x 1 layer or maybe abit more. then let it dry. it says 10 minutes drying time (second layer wait for 1 hr) which i didnt read and i sprayed the high temp paint on it after 25 to 30 minutes. i gave the intercooler a few layers ot the high temp paint. every thing seems nice n paint seems even. after letting it to dry for half hour(says on bottle - dried to touch in 10 minutes) after 30 or so minutes. i installed the FMIC back into the car. gave it another 45 miuntes to dry. And i started the car. drove it around n couldnt feel any problem. been driving the car around for a few days. nothing seems to be wrong... so what can go wrong?? losing cooling efficiency seems to be wat everyone been telling me. besides that wat can go wrong to the FMIC or even the car? thanks in advance.

  4. yeah iridium is sh!t from wat i have heard.... regapping is an ancient tool to use... but cheap method... i am planning to change to iriway sparkies. any other things i should look at. this is my first time bringing it to tune. so i am abit skeptical about it.... thanks though for the info. cheers!
  5. i have change my plugs to ngk iridium and have a brand new splitfire coils fitted in. do u mean full service? or just normal oil and filter change only? any other thing i should keep in mind??
  6. hey guys, what should i do before i tune my car? currently i have fitted a avcr and safc2. and planning to tune soon.... was wondering things i should do b4 bring it to the tuners. should i service the car? or other stuff i need to know? etc etc... shower me with some of ur knowledge plz. cheers!

  9. on this topic. i have problems too with the horn. when i was fitting the FMIC, the horn was taken out. after putting it back it doesnt sound the same. normally is sounds bold but now it squeeks..... anything i can do?? car is a r34.

  12. gawd DAMN!!!! omfg..... i so wan one.... but the price..... seems like real CF when translated. so one go start a GB n make something simillar. i actually have the panel shift (ashtray part) on my car but its plastic but looks good. came with the car when i bought it. took tis pic from the website for all er34 owners to cream on....
  13. hey guys, i have a aftermarket copy Bomex front bar. i wan to know how to trim the extras to fit a FMIC without damaging it. was told not to use a saw as it will crack the front bar. wat tools to use etc etc.
  14. hey guys, do u know of a place to get some falken 452? the tyres seems to be popular but they do not have a dealer in Perth. can anyone reccomend a place to get it?? ask a few place and they say if i wan to get them in i got to pay for the delivery from eastern states. or u guys can reccomenend me something besides falkens 452. prices would be great if u guy have purchase it b4. cheers! Rims sizes: 18x8 and 18x9 to suit a 34 skyline.

  16. good topic. was looking to upgrade aswell. tomei and nismo seems alrite for a direct fit with out modifications. but price is abit high. but how much labour will it cost for a bosch 044 fitted roughly. around $250 for a bosch 044 + labour??? while at the topic. is a bosch 044 (600hp) over kill for a 400hp car? or it doesnt makes a diff?

  19. don listen to anyone here..... absorb their opinions and go test drive the car ur self. theres no harm (u got the money in ur pocket) see which one makes u feel happy/comfortable/ sexy. then buy it.
  20. hmmm... i think tis topic have been discussed b4.... but anyways.... i was also shopping for a car 6 months ago. same question on my mind s15 and r34gtt/ was looking at a r33gtr - a day to late... someone bought it. tis two was on my list. test drive both, power wise gtt. argee on the part - if u r tall n big sized (forget about the s15). i am a small dude n i find the s15 is crampy even my hair is touching the roof. but according to some mechanics tat i have ask. s15 = more difficult for u to extract power from the sr20. (not sure if it was the jap spec or aus spec) gtt = its easier to extract power from the rb25 engine. same mods u put into both car and the rb25 will have more gain over the sr20. go RB is u wan power. s15 caught my eye bcos of its looks and design. its all up to u in the end.... choose one tat u really like/ suits u, not on ppls opinion. as u can see ppl with gtt will ask u to get the gtt. plp with gtr = go GTR. ppl with S15 go buy S15. my 2.5 penny.

  23. ................... why do u compare bosch 044 with sards 700cc fuel pump? y dont u compare a bosch 044 and a bosch 040? around $50 difference common sense.... smart i didnt think about it. very smart of me. to compare like tis.... all i was asking do i need a 600hp rating fuel pump when i am chasing only 400hp. or it makes a difference?? need aome allowance just incase i hit more than 400hp....
  24. hey guys, keep it up! lol just invading this thread since everyone doesnt seem to have something to do. does the fuel pump really makes a difference? i am looking to achieve 350 to 400hp atw. would a 600hp fuel pump be over kill. prices are not a huge difference. so should i just get a 600hp fuel pump? thanks!
  25. hey guys, on this topic. so which one is the better one? RDA or DBA? i have got a friend who has a slotted RDA rotoe on his car with stock caliper n using endless brake pads(not sure which one). what happen is that his rotor is thinning out (slots are less) the mechanic says the rotors are sh!t and the brake pads are too good for it. tats y the rotors are thinning. his car is not a high performance car. just a ek4 civic. the rotors only lasted one year ( brake pads are more than half used )n he got to change the rotors. shed some light please.... cheers!
