  2. Im finishing up with WOW, been fun but time to move on. I have 3 80's - Orc Warlock, Undead Mage, Undead Shadow Priest. Also on the account is a 68 Tauren Elemental Shammy, 40 Troll BM Huntard, 26 Troll Rogue, 26 Tauren Warrior, 1 Orc Warlock Banker. I loved my alts so the account has 12 heirloom items also with it. They are located on med-high population oceanic pve server and come with wow cd key, lich king and burning crusade also & authenticator. I didnt care less about gearscore as such some higher dps but lower gearscore trinkets are used. All the 80's come with best in slot gems & enchants. They all come with extra gear which is as good, but allows you to change around your stats to how you like. Mage has 450 Alchemy/Herbing so you can make 2-4000g per week if you do a run every day and sell at the right times which i can give the buyer more info for. The blue drake i got lucky on and got it twice - on the mage and lock. Shrivelled Heart is really hard to get, tried many times to get it on my other 2 and never did. Its one of the best dps offhands you can get bar a handful of icc drops. The priest was 80 for less than 2 weeks before i stopped playing so i was still gearing him up. Could still pull over 7500+dps (close to 8 if the Nibelung proc'd often enough) on boss fights in ICC and 8-8500 on trash. The warlock has 2pc T10 (Legs are Sanctified T10.5 piece). Havent been in since they changed icc buff as i was doing more pvp but would easily pull 8000dps on bosses buffed. Theres heaps of mats for enchanting, tailoring, engineering and more between them all, few items of bind on equip rare gear. The account also comes with an authenticator, so you cannot login without it. As i said gold isnt hard to get with alchemy and flasks tho, took me just under 4 weeks to get 13k gold for the priest gear. I can provide more screenshots if needed, and can meet you in game to verify everything.   3. Yeah so am i but its funny tho. I dunno of its real tho. I accidently found it on a sr site in the states. Took me a couple of secs then i nearly fell off my chair in laughter. The only dodgy part is where the torque goes up quickly but no immediate change in hp? so could be fake. Funny anyway

  7. I cant see you being able to do a targa with 1000+fwhp and 12,000revs without a rebuild along the way. Have a look at the CRD GTR and the sort of mods it has to rev that high. And they were still stretching their valves on short drag runs. I'd personally go with what sydneykid said. He has a lot of experience in this areas, and its not one you would want to make an error in.

  9. In the end, i was just going to say that i wasnt aware. They cant really prove it, because it could have fallen to bits and blown out. In the end if you drive a car without a cat, and get busted, you cant be pissed off. Everyone knows its illegal. Just like speading, burnouts, or any other mod that isnt legal. If your that worried about it, spend $400 or so and get a metal cat. If you cant afford it, knock yours out, save for one, and replace it as soon as you can.
  10. They just asked to pick the revs of the car up to 2000ish, and put a meter near the end of the exhaust. Showed me it was fine, and told me to go. Needless to say i shat myself before when i first saw them
  11. Now that i think of it. I was pulled over in my 180 which had an RB20. At the time it still had the stock ecu, but a turbo back exhaust with a gutted cat and a single muffler, and was tested and cleared.
  12. With my car, i did in this order. Fixed everything that was running incorrectly Bleed valve, which gave me som extra power FMIC, which gave me SFA power increase. The only increase was probably a placebo effect RB25 turbo, which was an awesome upgrade. Dr Drift ecu, which gave the best gain out of everything
  13. The way i see it is there is no way to prove you gutted your cat unless they actually see you do it and fit it to your car. Seeing as though they deteriorate over time, and fall apart, you can just plead (dunno if thats spelt correctly) ingorance and your free. If you have a piped cat, again (like any offence) you can plead ignroance and say the exhaust has been untouched since you bought it, and you never knew. All they can really make you do is fit a new one. If you have a gutted/piped cat, just keep a working stocker and if you are sent to the pits, swap them over... problem solved. Also in regards to the environment comment, i agree, and im sure its not the best.... however in the end it is a performance car, not overly economical even from the factory, and to be honest i can hardly see it making a real difference. If you think it does, then go tell everyone who farts, produces a smokey burnout, or smokes cigarettes to stop..
  14. Dont get me wrong, i wasnt trying to put a downer on your results mate.. And im all for wheelspin. My old 180 had 360rwhp and spun in 3rd coming onto boost on some surfaces.... but thought in 4th and with 197rwkw (or any car that spins a lot in 4th for that matter) you might want to look at your setup. As fun as wheelspin is, nothing feels as awesome when it hooks up and slams you hard into the seat.

People are talking about 2 different types of induciton sound here - On most turbo cars, the induction sound people talk about is the sound of the turbo.... not really induction noise, but its on the induction side so i guess it counts. Proper induction noise sounds awesome. Go for a ride in an NA car with multiple throttle bodies and you'll hear it for sure... The vtec honda's have a lot of induction noise for a standard car... when the cam timing changes on them, they really scream. The only turbo car i've heard with loud induction noise was i think leroy(?)'s R33 GTR video at autosalon where it made 600rwkw or so. When they loaded it up on the dyno out of its boost threshold.. mmmmmmmmmm

  17. I really doubt the fact that an RB25 turbo on an RB20 is laggy. It doesnt have NA instant response, but considering the power gain i thought it was a more than fair trade.... not that i tried to drive it hard below 3000rpm.... its an RB20 afterall. If thats what your looking for, maybe your better off with an RB25/30 because even with the stock turbo, its not that impressive that low in the rev range. Even my last car which had an SR20 was thought to be "laggy". To be honest, when you drove it correctly, it wasnt a problem... you just had to adjust to the fact that it wasnt transmission smashing instant hp, and below where it made boost not to bother. It was, when driven how it should be, awesome, and made awesome power from 4000-75000rpm which is as good as most N/A 8's with similar power would do. In the worst case senario with the RB20 when the boost response wasnt instant, you could just pop the clutch and it would spin the wheels at 70kmh in a 180sx... Not to bad for a more or less stock engine. From my time on this forum, and everything else i've read, my advise would be (and im not a turbo guru). If your looking for around 180-200rwkw go for the rb25 turbo... its an awesome upgrade and without many sacrifices. 220-250 look at your 2530/gtrs respectively...
  18. When an engine is running rich, it will run ok untill it warms up, then with the extra heat, will cause the engine to run super rich. I had a similar problem with my RB20. Piece of shit to drive, spluttering, cutting out. Turns out it had a small crack in the intercooler, wich with the afm's was causing it to run rich, and also at times, max the standard afm because of the amount of air it was thinking it was reading. Its worth a look and do a leak check..
  19. I think thats not a good example of how a well setup rb20 will perform. as he said, it was a shitty highflow. If you look at sticky threads, you'll see how the cars develop power.... and from what i've understoodd are not incredibly laggy as some people will have you believe. Obviously cam gears will change the how the car develops power, and are a good investment. The revlimiter on my Rb20 was set at 8200, but hardly ever saw that many revs as it stopped making power at 7200-7500rpm, however you need overrev and most people have them set at 7800-8000rpm. If you wanted slightly less power, you could always go the 2530 track... Makes a fairly easy 220rwkw with awesome boost response
  20. hmm, i'd be personally going to RB25 or 25/30 combination before spending money on a supercharged RB20. If i remember correctly, when todd wilkes changed his supercharged holden ute to a twin turbo, he ranted about how much more torque the twin's made. A centrifugal supercharger wont make full boost untill max rpm, so possibly before the stock turbo is able to make any boost, the supercharger will better the turbo, but aftere 3000rpm the stock turbo can make full boost... Centrifugal supercharger isnt going to do that. Also if your diriving below 3000rpm and are looking for big torque or power, maybe you should have an rb30.. Even then, it'd only make power from 2500rpm... I had an RB20 with a RB25 turbo, front mount, re-mapped ecu etc in a 180sx. In 2nd gear at 60km/h if you popped the clutch it would go sideways, had almost no more lag than a stock turbo, and prob made 180-190rwkw, made good power from 3000-7500rpm, and pulled well to its 8200rpm rev limit. As someone else said, with the gearing of your RB20, 2000-2500rpm wouldnt be very useful, as it'd be over and done with in a few secs.
  21. I've also been curious of this. I've heard some videos where it sounds more of a HHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA or strangled cat than an awesomely loud exhaust sound. I was looking at getting one also, but would be mortified if it sounded that bad, that loud. Does the size of the wastegate have much to do with it?
  22. i've had a loose throttle cable slip off when the throttle was half open and stick like that, then be back in place by the time i stopped the car and lifted the hood. If the throttle body is closed, the engine cant rev. It has to be the throttle sticking somewhere

In my opinion, if your car has gotten to the stage where it can benefit from a proper manifold, then im sure you can afford one, and not skimp on a $300 ebay manifold.... which could possibly cause more problems that its worth. If its not pushing the performance limits of its current manifold, im sure $300 could be better spent on something like a good tune etc. That being said, the the runner design on the GCG manifolds look pretty crap. Lots of straight piping, and looks like they are as basic as a "tuned length" runner could be. They may last, but how does the performance compare to a stocker. And how does it compare to a brand name manifold?
  24. Hmm... Since the HKS T300 is rated at 450hp im not really sure anymore if it would be worthwhile upgrading to a new one, getting new piping etc made. The T300 started making boost from memory at 3300ish and full boost by around 4000-4200rpm, if possible i could get some input on modifying that. I've gotten some measurements off it, but are unsure of the trim as i havent pulled the housings off it: Compressor a/r .60 Inducer 53mm Turbine a/r: .63 Exducer 57mm Its also due for a service, as whoever owned it before didnt look after it, and has some shaft play, and has damage to the compressor wheel from running no air filter. So i guess my questions are: If the turbo is rated at 450hp, tuned correctly and everything being normal, should it be making more than 270rwkw? If it is at the limits of the turbo, when i change the cams/valvetrain apart from the usual power advantages, the rev limit can be raised from the 7300rpm its at now to 9000rpm. Will the current turbo have a boost drop and suffocate the engine at that high rpm? Would say changing to a bigger exhaust housing fix that? Cheers - i know this isnt skyline/RB related and might irritate some people, so thanks for the input
