  1. my mate went to the dyno & tune place for me which is in the next town as he was heading that way and asked how much a remap would be for the skyline along with the 10psi and the guy said you dont need a remap just to put it to 10psi but more than 13psi would need one as the stock ecu would play up and i would need a better turbo because it will put alot of stress on the factory turbo and may cause a fin to break. so according to him it will be fine as long as i dont go over 10.
  2. hi,i want to wind the boost up in my R-33 gts-t to 10psi and keep the factory intercooler as they are a cop magnet in my town and are forever picking on import owners. would it be safe to run 10psi with just a remap without the after market front mount or would it cause a problem? any info would help alot.
  3. hi all,i want to buy this fmic as i was told they are a direct fit and very easy to install and i wanted to ask if anyone on here has this exact fmic and are they are direct fit? and has anyone had any problems with it?

Ive got an update for you's....... the 1st mechanic is a d*** head and will not be getting paid and i will never go to him again! i took it to another mechanic who does alot of work on imports in my town and i told him about what happened and it turned out it was my alternator belt that was doing all the screeching and it was luck that i mentioned that it may have been my timing belt and found out what was happening to it,it was rubbing/shredding because the 1st mechanic didn't fit it properly. so naturally the import mechanic wanted to have a look at the newest timing belt the 1st mech had just installed and guess what........it was doing the exact same thing again,it was already showing signs of wear so he fixed it properly for me and he didnt even charge me he said it was on the house. he said he reckons the 1st mech was doing this on purpose thinking if it kept stuffing up i would keep going back to him so he can keep milking me or he was retarded.
  5. for a while my R33 gtst has had a screeching noise coming out especially on cold mornings where i had my new timing belt put in. i took it to my mech and he said not to worry about it so naturally i went to another mech in town who took a look at it and my timing belt was about 1cm thick in width and he said he was amazed it hadn't snapped and seized my engine up. he told me to take it back to the mech who originally put it in cause it should be under warrenty so i went down there and left my car there over night. went back today and he reckons he cant find anything that is causing it except one of the bearings was a bit loose but he doesnt know if that was causing it so i had to get new bearings and a timing belt and new cam gears which i have to pay for which i think is bulls***! do you guys know what could have shredded my timing belt like that?
  6. Year:1994 Model: R-33 Skyline Gts-t Coupe Trans: Manual Fault/cons: always something wrong with it,cop bait even as stock,commodore owners. Comments: seriously there is always something wrong with this car,i get the problem fixed and another problem takes its place. cops chase me when they see me,pull me over, pop the hood, let me go its a joke. wankers in their pieces of shit v6 commodores revving their cars at me or trying to race me,clearly they have no chance in hell but im not into street racing-im not a hoon! other than those problems i still love my car.
  7. both of my tail lights have rubber seals so they are fine but both my rear indicators don't have any rubber seals around them at all,is that normal?could that be the reason why there is moisture in it? just weird how there is none in the rear right indicator as well.
  8. there is always moister inside the left rear indicator,its only happened after we had severe heavy rain for a few weeks. it looks all foggy with water droplets inside,anyone know a DIY on how to keep it out?
  9. usually when i drive i always keep it under boost but tonight i thought screw it it i gave it a bit,i was in 2nd at 6000 rpm or a bit more just about to shift into 3rd and it was like the skyline's power decreased like it just stopped boosting and i didn't know what the hell happened as i don't normally drive like that. does anyone know if they have a rev limiter or something like it that kicks in near red line? also just letting you know this wasn't on a public road,it was a sealed road on my brothers property out of town.
  10. im sticking to bp ultimate,i only live in a small town and only have 2 bp stations and all their premium 95 are out of order for some reason so i took it as a sign. thanks for the replies peoples.
  11. hey guys,just wanted to know because im always using BP ultimate but i hardly ever boost my skyline im more of a take a relaxing drive kind of person always keeping it under boost. so would premium 95 be alright to run as long as im not boosting the crap out of it?
  12. hi,at the moment my 94 R-33 is stock except 3" exhaust system but a friend is buying a club sport so i will need a bit more power to keep up with him....just don't want a Holden out doing the Nissan. i want to wind the turbo up a bit 10-14psi and im gonna get the ecu remapped or get a piggy back but i don't want to get a front mount cause the cops will hassle me,they are defecting everyone with a FMIC. can i swap my factory intercooler for an R-33 GTR intercooler or an R-34 GTT intercooler? will it do the job and which would be better and more importantly is it a straight swap?

  14. and who are you to say it doesnt go harder? it didn't run like a dog,the only difference was it was chewing through the fuel and if i put the boost up too much it would start knocking,and it did go harder see when i was young and stupid on my p plates i use to race my mates until i got caught,now you tell me how this is....my stock vn couldn't beat a newer model v6 commodore,i get it modified without after market management and i was beating v8 commodores? so dont tell me it did not go harder. you didnt drive the car so you wouldnt know. i didn't believe him,why do you think im on here asking about it?how am i suppose to know that a high flow would be better for my stock skyline running stock boost?again that's why im on here asking. people on this topic said it might cause more lag if i put it on cause im running standared boost. thats why im on here to find out which would be better for my car,theres no point of getting a high flow if its gonna cause more lag unless i wind my boost up in which i have no intention of doing.

  18. it was a Garrett GT-30 turbo,FMIC,vortex fuel pump,forged pistons,much better head gasket as the stock ones kept blowing, but no aftermarket management and it ran perfect but if i did get a aftermarket ecu christ knows what i could have done with it,i sold it to a mate and he hasnt had a problem with it at all. yes he really did say that,i don't lie,fabricate or spin stories.
  19. its running stock boost as far as i know,i do have an aftermarket boost gauge but haven't got it installed because of the cops in my town they absolutely hate anyone with a turbo charged car p-platers and full licensed included,as soon as they see a boost gauge or a FMIC or anything that don't look stock they defect you on the spot. i had a service about 2 months ago,new spark plugs,new filter,new oil: motul turbo light 4100,new water pump and a brand new timing belt. my car is stock except the exhaust system. my mate not too long ago took of my rocker covers and painted them and noticed the throttle housing was putrid so he cleaned it all and took off the plenum also cause it was dirty and he put it back together and the difference was the car was revving at 1200rpm instead of 850rpm where it normally was. could that have anything to do with it?
  20. the dream is gone,i rang him up this morning to confirm that i was still coming down to Newcastle to have a look at the car and he sold it........even after he said he will hold onto it for me to have a look. lucky i rang up,cause i really would have had the shits if i drove down there and he turned around and said its gone.
  21. i have noticed lately that the car just doesn't go as good as it use too and it seems to take longer for boost to kick in and when it does it aint offering much. i know some guys are saying its me getting use to the power but before i owned the skyline i use to own a VN commodore-turbo. i got it turbo charged and that thing goes harder than my skyline. so its not like Ive gone from a ford laser to a skyline with a massive power difference and im now used to the power. its the town im in,all the mechs think they know all about turbo's but when you try to explain something to them they have no idea what im on about.
  22. trust me,your car we stall,probably not straight away but it will. everyone on here told me it would but i ignored them and stalled at an intersection and nearly got wiped out by a truck. i don't know if this happens to every R-33 GTS-T but i have to get mine tuned for it. am i right or wrong guys?
  23. i got my car serviced a few months back and i asked for platinum spark plugs and i have just had a look in there today and took a spark plug out and they are cheap normal spark plugs. i asked for platinum cause that is what people on here recommended and im pissed off i had to pay for the cheap ones at the price for platinum's and the mech is shut for Easter so i cant abuse him. can this screw my r33 gtst up? do they have to be platinum's? i will never trust a mech again and i wont be lazy and do it myself next time.

Ive noticed lately that my 1994 r33 gtst doesn't go as hard as when i 1st bought it about a year ago. i don't know whether its because my stock turbo is on its way out or what but i told my mate about it and he recommended that i get a high flow turbo. i went to my mechanic and told him and he said why not just get another stock turbo? i asked isn't a high flow better and he said no,there's no power difference and all it does is make the turbo sound likes it winding up more. is this true?
  25. yeah i know what you mean,but i already have the money saved up for the EVO i just have to get rid of the skyline cause i have no need for 2 turbo charged cars. when it does eventually get sold.....if it does the extra cash will do for something,i just don't know what.
