I think they are a ~95-98 db at 30 metres track. I remember them mentioning it when i was there a few weeks ago. My car has an Apex N1 Pro (3-3.5") with no cat excpet when its a must (Yes i know.......it keeps destroying them, and it is a track only car) So its not stupidly noisy but makes a decent racket. I never had any trouble at all. But yeah straight pipes and ext. gates and your done i think. Cheers

Put me down for a spot!! Keen to get a second run at Lakeside. Need to bring more fuel this time. Cheers, Dave

Anyone else heading along to this?? I did the MX5 sprint day on Monday this week at Lakeside. Was a fun day!!! Lots of track time to. If i can get my AASA licence sorted in time i might head along to this as well! Cheers

Bit more info on the wheels: 17 x 8.5 +30 - 235/45 Federal RSR's 17 x 9.5 +38 - 255/40 Federal RSR's Hardly any rash at all. Sorry i dont have close up pics. No dents or anyting like that. Perfectly balanced. Photos are from R33 GTST. Fronts sit in a bit cause im running 4 deg neg camber. Rears are about 1.5 deg neg camber. I ran these with no guard rolling/flaring and they where fine. Did hit the plastic inner guard on full lock at the ride height i was at. Probably due to camber. Plenty of clearance for brakes - Pics are 330mm 8 pot Ksport - plenty of room remaining. Cheers.

Hello All, I moved up to Brisbane a year or so ago and only recently got my car up here (Driven from Melbourne!!....yep it was painfull) I havce done some searching and there is some good info on workshops up here, so i have a good idea of who to turn to when the time comes......and it will. After the long tirp and a few back to back tracks days in VIC the car is in need of a wheel alignemnt. Again i did a bit of a search and Fulcrum comes up a few times, they have a few different shops, but arent open on weekends....which sucks! Im in Kangaroo Point atm. Any other options for a good place to get a track oriented wheel alignment done. (And possibly on the weekends) Car has adjustable front camber and castor but the rear is stock. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Dave M

Haha.....i struggled into that turn all day. Having not driven the car for a few months and not having ABS means im a bit easy on the brakes when i first stand on them......this costs me a lot when it comes to the last 10-15m on the anchors. I got a little better in the later sessions but still struggled. Getting my car to turn in there was an issue also.....the understeer on the new surface was EPIC!! But the rear grip available was EPIC in the other direction. I proded it in 2nd a few times at Honda to try and get it sliding......and it did but still took a lot of effort!! Anyway good times!! Car will be on its way to QLD soon :-) Cheers, David Maden -

What a day!! Thanks to the WRX guys and gals for putting on another great event. Plenty of track time for anyone who wanted it :-) I think everyones tyres were squealling......seemed to be the new surface as my tyres are usually silent. Good times with Richo and my bro Chris thrashing around in close company!! -
Hello All, Have some 17" Rays Gram Lights 57S for sale. Where on the car when i got it and have been great. Reason for sale is i have got 9" all round now so i can rotate wheel/tyres at the track. They are: 17 x 8.5 +30 - 235/45 Federal RSR's - I would say around 70% tread. 17 x 9.5 +38 - 255/40 Federal RSR's - I would say around 50% tread. Hardly any rash at all. Sorry i dont have close up pics. No dents or anyting like that. Perfectly balanced. Photos are from R33 GTST. Fronts sit in a bit cause im running 4 deg neg camber. Plenty of clearance for brakes - Pics are 330mm 8 pot Ksport - plenty of room remaining. Price - $1100 Location - Melbourne only - Pickup. Email - [email protected] Phone - 0420208177 Wheels are in storage in Frankston. Cheers, Dave

Hey Femmo, Its a 33 GTST. Its had some changes as time has gone on so hard to directly compare. The RSR's where about 1-2 seconds quicker around winton than the KU36's but they go off after 1 lap! Maybe its the weight of the car but i never did a warm up....just cruised around for the out lap and then did one timed lap. Although this was during the warmer months. Looking at my times i get slower after that first timed lap, and you can feel the under steer getting out of control. I think my best is a 1:41.X on KU's and a 1:40 dead on RSR's. To be honest i only ran the KU36's for one track day as i didnt like them at all. They were progressive but also went off really fast. But they where cheap so i suppose its a compromise. Looking forward to the RS3's. Ive also got more rubber on the front this time so again will be hard to compare directly. Cheers, Dave -

To the guys looking at the RS3's. I got my set for tad over $880 deliverd from tirereack.com. 255/40/17 Couldnt fond them for less than 1100 locally......maybe there is somewhere but thats the best i could do. They do feel very soft. But they only just made it on the car so havent actually driven on them yet. Ive had KU36 and RSR's so it will be interesting to see how they compare. Fingers crossed for some good weather. Good being cold, windy and cloudy....but no rain!! Cheers, Dave -
