  2. Hi all I was think of changing my S14 diff to a non V-spec R33 GTR diff. Similar to S15 i think but with shorter final drive. Can any1 shed any light on wheather this is a straight swap or there is a lot of custom work need??? Any1 else done this?? What about non V-spec R34 GTR?? Cheers

  7. Hi guys. What power sterring assembly do the cefiros use. Is it R32 or is it S13??? Do u know how much it costs to replace things like the PS pump in a cefiro?? And what rack do they use?? Also if i wanted to swap the engine to a later model R32 RB20DET would i be able to do a direct swap?? So will all the plugs and stuff fit and most importantly would i be able to use the A31 ECU or do i need to change this??? And the same questions for RB25. I assume id have to change the ecu. Last one. What exhaust is it. S13/R32 or different to both?? Cheers

  9. I have no rear seats so the pump is quite loud (Harness makes it hard to have rear seats so i threw them). It makes the normal noise in a straight line as i have heard a few before. Could it be that its to high and stuggling when the fuel is against the wall of the tank??? Im pretty sure i mounted it low enough though. Cheers
  10. Well i mounted the mesh part of the 040 (The very bottom) at the same level as the pickup of the old pump. This meant i had to cut the bottom off the stock harness (S14a). Its a bit weird as the car still went well at the track, just a bit woried it might die on me. Cheers
  11. Hi I installed a Bosch 040 a while ago and whenever i go around corners the noise stops and then returns after im straight again. Is this normal or something to worry about. When i mounted it i made sure it was at the right height and all the conections were good. Any ideas?? Cheers
  12. Na it will be ten VVT my friend. My S14a does it and nearly every S14 i know and some S15s that have a few more K's(not Many though) do it. Common problem. Cost around 1500 to fix, not really worth doing as it doesnt really cause any problem. If the car is still under warrenty get it fixed, he he.
  13. I have used one of the Cobra ones in Vic and it picked up Cops on the highway and stuff. Not the fixed cameras at the lights and shit but all the other ones yes. Not to sure about the pigys with the hand held ones, dont think ive been past one with it. Cheers
  14. A friend of mine has an AE with an oil cooler and no thermostat, it also has an ioil temp gauge. He says it stays to low for to long and thus not lubricating properly. But i suppose u could go without it. Cheers

I think its a good idea to run a thermostat in ur oil cooler system cause if u dont it circulates the oil through the cooler as soon as u start the car and it takes ages to heat up, so it stays to thick and doesnt circulate very well, i suppose this can cause engine damage over time. I would just replace the sandwich plate that bolts to the block. I think thats were it is. Cheers
  16. He he he, i just watched the 86-92 bathurst turbulent years DVD. Very cool stuff. The R32s gave them a good old spanking in 91 and 92 (The seriously wet one). The days of the GTS-R were pretty much ruled by the sierras. They were dam quick. I think holden won 2 out of the 6 races in that perriod, id have to watch it again to confirm though. Good DVD though. Some very sweet in-car shots. Cheers
  17. Hi Im after some 225/50/16 semi slicks. Near new would be good. Im not to sure on which ones im after, but let me know what u got. Even 215s will be ok, i think 215/50/16 is a tricky size though. Just PM me if u have something. Cheers
  18. I think once u install the cooler because there is less pressure drop u will be getting higher boost pressures at the manifold, so more power. Even if u dont tuch the boost. Not 20-25kw though. Could be a reason. Cheers

  20. DJ984 - The twin sequentials use one small and one larger turbo. The smaller one does not have a wastegate and it runs out of puff somwere in the rev range (not sure were) and this is were the bigger one is already workin to take over. Very heavy and tricky setup so big single on a 3 litre which will support 500+ HP on stock internals is usually the path taken. Cheers
  21. R34 GT-T wheels dont fit S14 i can tell u that for a fact. I couldnt get themon my S14. The wheel scraped the outside of the coilover. But yeah i think S14 and R33 are the same. So they should fit. Cheers

  23. Hi This isnt a skyline question but its a nissan question. Please help. Im looking at a 2 way mechanical LSD from NS forums. Its from an S13. My car is S14a and has ABS. Will i be able to use the Kaaz diff centre and my case thus allowing the abs conection or is there something else to it. It also has 4.3 ratio or something i think. Is this a characteristic of the diff centre itself or is it seperate. So really i want to know can i use a non-abs diff centre with the 4.3 ratio in my S14a diff case. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  24. I think the mines car also has massive 6 piston brakes and incredable sus setup. I think this is were a lot of its speed comes from. In one of the BM VCDs there is a R34 GTR battle. Most around 600HP and one with 700+HP and yet the mines is quicker than all of them by at least 1 second a lap. It seems to have a great setup as it looks a lot more stable and allows better power delivery to the ground. Its pretty much the only one not lighting up all fours on the exits of corners. Cheers
