Ahh I remember there was a reason why I thought Ill look for something cheaper I had a look a few weekends ago at the ozeparts website, but wasnt certain of the quality or fitment of their listed maxima one as it isnt for the 2004 onwards model, genuine was around $80 trade and had them in stock, when I get the chance Ill compare mine to theirs Has anyone found the front ones yet though?

Damn thats cheap, put some pics up when you get the chance

Just wodnering if anyone has succesfully found a supplier of front clear indicators for the series 1 stageas at all? I know that Dolphin Aeroform in Japan makes them but I cant find any pricing at all on their site. Maybe there is some other model in Australia that we can use? As for the side indicators I think I have just found a cheaper closer alternative, the current model (2004 or so) Nissan Maxima are supposly a direct fit to the R34 and therefore should be for our model as well, hope to find out this for certain soon..

Seeming I already have the cat-back done I am now only needing the turbo to cat and cat replaced now so these items are starting to look a better priced to me then the local muffler shop I go to.. $250 (dump) + $190 (cat) + $20 = $460 The local shop was $660 for it all to be done, I can get the fitting done for practically free here at work so thats no issue, so Im looking at a $200 saving.. Then I guess the real issue is if it cracked etc. I would be going to the muffler shop and they would charge me for it whereas if it were their own they would probably do it for free.. So the real question is whether the $200 saving will be really worth it or not, also there could still be the slight chance it may not fit whereas I know the local muffler shops will

Ive considered making a aus based stagea club, but am pretty flat out with things as it is.. Got some good experience seeming I started the AU Starlet Club www.austarletclub.com 100+ members and over 3 years running

Thanks so much for that sk Brazen: I would imagine the R34GTT would be the one to go for..

Does anyone know if the Stagea has a different standard exhaust to the R33 GTST just up to the catalyic convertor. The reason being is that Im looking at buying a pre-fabricated dump pipe and high flow cat from the following thread or similar and wondering if it will fit the Stagea as well or if our exhaust/floorpan/firewall is too different. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=15558

I love these mid week holidays as well, great chance to catchup on stuff I made 140 4wkw on a dyno up here, reputable dyno, it was in the middle of the day (heat) and elevation of around 800m.. Such a big drivetrain loss Some very good points there made about the weight factor, shame you cant legally do rolling starts

Thanks for making this thread a sticky, also I may have foudn a cheaper alternative to the clear side indicators

Thanks RBNT Im getting keen on those upgrade kit group buys, im also really keen to work out the best way to launch this thing, its such a waste of the 4wd system on the 1/4 mile track not being able to launch it hard Out of interest when racing straight line what gear does everyone here use? I have found just keeping it in drive from start to finish the quickest, if I try and manually shift going anywhere from 60-100 if I switch from 2 to D the car instantly pulls harder... The car is quite quick from rolling at 100 but down low its got nothing Also would have the 4wd button on make much difference on both launch and times?

I am about to change the spark plugs in my Stagea (R33 RB25DET equivalent) and want to know what spark plugs people use in their R33s and why. The biggest issue I see across the other threads is people re-gapping or buying spark plugs gapped at 0.8mm rather then the specified 1.1mm I am going to stick with NGK plugs for my car but am wondering why people actually use the 0.8mm gap over the 1.1mm gap when it comes to the spark plugs. There seems to be many people on here that are advising this and I want to know the exact reasons why as Im certain the standard coil over plug can easy give good enough spark on the 1.1mm gap and am concerned with hesisation under accelaration using the smaller gap as you can see in other cars. By the way the plugs Im talking in reference to are the Iridium NGK plugs BKR5EIX-11 (1.1mm gap) and the BKR5EIX (08.mm gap). But the gap issue shouldn't matter if copper or iridum I would imagine. By the way Im running just an average setup of filter, 10psi and cat back exhaust but have plans for full exhaust and frount mount soon.

Jay95R33: looks very interesting those shift kits, what exact advantages will you be able to achieve with them? I havent played at all with autos before, its a new world to me Sydneykid: Only what I presume to be the standard cooler in the front, it might be slippage when it changes gears come to think of it as there is a weird dull high rev sound in between gears... As for boost levels from memory it wasn't too much at all, I do know it was spooling though.

Well after some slow times at willowbank this weekend (best 15.1 at 90mph) I am wanting to start looking at upgrade options in the transmission in the car before going for some more power (just panel filter, 10psi and catback 3" exhaust at the moment) because I think that is one spot that I am definatly loosing some of my times in as it seems to be impossbile to get a good launch. I was launching having the car in 'power mode' and had my left foot on the brake and the other on the accelator to let it build up revs a bit getting up to about 2300rpm at the best but still on getting 2.3 60 foot times which im certain I should be able to improve in having a 4wd system. I also have some other little excuses like a slight miss which Ill aim to fix this week as well. The main thing im asking is what options are there for upgrading the standard transmission (auto) to start getting better launches/times on the 1/4 mile? Obviosuly a manual conversion would be the best but im guessing adding in all the factors like price of box and clutch it would easily hit over $3000? But what options are there for the auto and is it worth my time/money tryign for power with it and are they all that strong?

Group buy on Stagea Lowered Coil Springs?
Lone replied to Lone's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
So are these whiteline springs available to suit the stagea and what sort of pricing for them if you dont mind me asking? -
Haha thats exactly what I thought, its even got more chances of being called a volvo
-
Great to see its given you an example to work with, certainly worth doing those door trims, make a world of a difference Did a dyno run today and got 190hp at all four wheels Now to see the figure that does count, 1/4 mile time, going down this saturday...

Now to make mine Awsome work there, looks great!
