What plug gap did you use? The standard gap is 1.1 mm but this can be too large. I had the same problem when my plugs were changed. had to re-gap to 0.8 mm and then was OK.
Also check coil packs.

Can anyone send me the binary file for the standard R33 RB25DET ECU? It used to be available on http://www.925style.com but that site is currently down.
Justin,
looking at your dyno curve, the problem starts at 3500 RPM, not 4500 where the VCT kicks in. In fact the power starts increasing again at 4500.
Have you checked AFM voltage and injector duty cycle.
You may have hit a limit of one of these.
The CMX100 looks like a cool little unit. But it measures just 4 parameters. I presume you had to 'guess' the format of the commands to get the other parameters based on the commands from the CMX100.
What are your plans for the software you have written?
Tom,
where did you get the protocol from? Reverse engineer it?
I have designed a logger that records rpm, speed, injector duty, advance, air flow etc, but I did this by monitoring the pins of the ECU as I do not know the consult protocol.
