Paranoid or Best to be safe than sorry???
Mase replied to inark's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers

Sounds like a mechanical diff to me

It is going to start happening a lot more often i reckon. I know a lot of people who would tempt fate if the circumstances were greatly in their favour to avoid loss of car/license/money etc. It's a shame how i used to view the police as a sign of help, now i see them all as the enemy as they cause me hassle, financial loss and stop me from enjoying my hobbies. I can just tell when we go out clubbing and i don't drink, if i take my mum's corolla i don't have any hassles, i haven't managed to get home once in the s13 without being pulled over or defected!!! :bs!:

from what i have seen, the strictness has varied for compliance in every state but not neccessarily the rules. Like some people in different states have got away without an unleaded fuel neck restrictor whereas i can't in qld. If the compliance is done you should be fine, if at worse you may need to fix something minor up but at least the majority of the work should be done. If an engineer has checked over it though and given the compliance plate then you will be fine. You may need to fix some things for rwc though. Hope that helps, sorry im no expert on the topic.

looks sweet, but not many mods for the $$ if u get me.

i saw it a little while back at another import yard, i'd say they were doing business etc. Didn't really look at it much as i figured it was just a van with nice paint and rims. I'll have to make sure i have a good look next time!!!!

ska you did well considering it was your first go. You gave that car an absolute hiding though!!! I was cringing many times!!!!! James, the psoo will have company on the 23rd!!!! the s13 is getting a facelift this weekend, the tein's go back in, cusco 2 way mech diff, catch can on it's way, new clutch tuesday, pineapples the following week as the ass end is sloppy and scored a full set of 16's. Should all be together for the 23rd. We should organise something before then!! Of course, no paint tho!

1989 Nissan Laurel 16" mesh 4/5 stud wheels (will fit laurel, cefiro, s13 and skyline), 3" Stainless steel exhaust, front and rear strut braces, Trust FMIC, alluminium diff cradle bushes, viscous lsd, Rear GAB damper adjustable suspension, no name lowered front suspension, signed NARDI steering wheel, aftermarket handbrake and shifter, HKS pod filter OS Geiken clutch and lightened flywheel. Boost and water temp guage. Aftermarket front bar. White with blue pearl paint, electric sunroof! The car has just had oil and filter changed and has a set of HKS plugs in it. Slightly bigger radiator with a pressure release radiator cap. The car also has a chipped computer to go with it and the standard one as well. Ok, the car isn't complied yet, so im going to try and sell uncomplied first, if not i'll comply it. $11500 uncomplied as is. New tyres. Some of the interior needs retrimming. One of the window amps needs replacing, can get repaired at moorooka auto electrics pretty cheaply. Or $14500 complied and rego'd. Basically i will eventually be complying it if it doesn't sell shortly. I just would like to see if i can sell it uncomplied first. I will be using it as a daily driver once registered anyway so i can paint the s13 Now I know a few of you are going to ask why im selling. The simple reason is i bought this car for a drifter and after actually sitting down and thinking about it, the car is too nice to drift when i have an s13 that is in undercoat so i should just use that. I don't have the money to keep both and this is a very regretful sale as i love the car. I was originally going to sell the s13, but had a good think about it and the boys who know me will know what im on about. This car is very pimp and is an awesome cruiser and it handles exceptionally. I took it out for a run on the mt cotton skid pan and had a ball. Starts first go no problems and has no mechanical issues. The turbo is immaculate with no shaft play and can remove intake to demonstrate this. No offers thanks. [email protected] or 0401 669 900 or pm cheers Jayson Click for pics Got a few praises about the car on nissan silvia

cracked carbon fibre bonnet
Mase replied to Dawzey's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
most carbon fibre bonnets have a top layer of carbon, and the underneath is fibreglass. A full carbon fibre bonnet would cost a couple of grand. -

I've decided to sell my laurel. Reason being as the car was bought to be used for a drifter. After seeing the cars at the drift day on the average joe and thinking about how i'd hate to wreck the nice white with blue pearl paint i decided maybe it's best i use the s13, as replacement panels are very easy and im about to paint it myself shortly. Anyway unfortunately not being able to keep two performance cars the laurel has to go regrettably. Here's the link to my for sale post. I just thought i'd put it in here as we all have the same interest etc. Cheers Jayson link to for sale

yeah true. The oil return hose is rubber on the rb's, not sure on the sr's. I'd check that out as well, should be from the bottom of the turbo to the block. cheers

ahhh ****, that sucks dude. I'd be getting a cheap shirt from the local shop and wiping it up as much as you can.

interesting..... runs off to get the stanley knife. I have two horizontal black boxes and one vertical green thing on mine. My camera is lame so pics are blurry

part number is either 28516 89915 or 9614 cheers adrian, might see if i can find a wrecking cef or laurel first

One of my windows in the laurel wasn't moving, so i took the door trim off and swapped a little black box with the other sides, the window went straight down, but wouldn't go back up. I assume this is because the circuit wasn't complete after i took the black box (power window amp) from the other door and broke the circuit. This did however conclude that the window mechanicals themselves work which is good. My question is..... where do i get a power window amp??? It's a little black box about 5cm's x 4cm's x 3cm's?? Cheers Jayson
