Guys, i think this is a real long shot, but i need to borrow a stock laurel front bar to get my car through compliance. Reason being is with my coilovers on their highest setting, and with stock suspension, the aftermarket front bar still sits about 85mm off the ground. The bar would probably need to already have been modded to fit a fmic. Anybody got one they can lend? cheers Jayson

Hey mys013, just in regard to your steering play. I had the same in the laurel, then i removed the horn from the aftermarket steering wheel and found the nut inside their to be very loose. So i tightened it up and presto, steering was all good again. Do you have an aftermarket steering wheel? maybe check that. Is there any hot chocolate? or just coffee?

hehe, i cleaned one up when i went up through springbrook (qld). I had a veilside front bar on it that had seen better days, the possum ran out at about 80klm's an hour, heard and felt a huuuge thud, then checked my front bar round the corner, cracked all the fibreglass straight up to the bonnet. I'll see if i can find a pic.......

does meggala live near you? I think it would be good of him if he came round and gave you a hand providing everyone got on ok. Up to both parties involved tho. Im a whizz on mechanical, but anything other than basic relay wiring gets me stumped so im not much help. Check the ecu wires though as this sounds something like what i had with my laurel. We found the ecu wires were all twisted together, after soldering them she went like a charm. cheers Jayson

well friday night i was driving down newmarket rd on the way to the city for a night out. I completely forgot that harry's diner was probably gonna have a few cops hanging round, cruised past casually, then as i got to the lights on bowen bridge rd a copper pulls up beside me in an unmarked commo and tells me to pull over onto the side of the road on bowen bridge rd. Goes over my car, rbt's me, license check, then defects me cuz of my rear number plate. You know how the s13's dont quite fit the whole number plate?? You have to bend it slightly to fit and that's what i'd done. So i got fined. They are getting ridiculous. I mean i can see the point if someone is being a tool, then pull them over and go over there car, but for someone who is completely sober not being a tool and following all road rules then i don't see why i can't even drive down a road without being harrassed. This is gonna reach a point where people are just gonna start rioting or something as its just going too far. Sure, target the idiots in modified cars, but the people who take it to the track like myself and behave on the streets don't need this shit when money is tight and you just want to go out and see your friends in town. Sorry guys, it just really shit me off and i had my whinge now!

Sunday 14th we went out to skid pan and i took the laurel for its first venture. On the trip out there got to work out exactly what needs fixing!! grrr But got out there in one piece, had a ball. The laurel drifts really well, much better than my s13 but once sideways it can be a big fight to flick the heavy bugger the other way. Darren appleton came down in his laurel after he'd finished on another section of mt cotton and we both took the laurels on the skid pan and he showed us all how it was done, while i continued to spin out!!! hehehe Only drama of the day, blew a cooler pipe in the last session and had to fix it to drive home. The ceffy is owned by a mate. cheers Jays

i worked out why my car has been spewing out coolant. The radiator cap was stuffed!!! Bought one from super cheap for ten bucks and it works like a charm!! I had a stupid nismo one too.

looks good, i was trying to work out what the difference was then i realised they have spray painted the middle section to match the paint.

id just throw a stock ecu in for now until you can put the car up on a dyno to double check your mixture etc.

maybe..... keep me posted. All really depends on getting time off work and whether the laurel is complied and rego'd. If its not ready by then i don't know what i'll do.....

beannie, your power figure was severely detremented by your fuel mixture. Maybe seeing as we cleaned your afm, the computer hadn't readjusted itself or something and you were running richer than normal???? If the dyno was reading low by around 20-30rwkw's then neil would have pulled a 220rwkw's. Is this possible on stock injectors??? With the boost you were running and your fuel mixture, i'd say that would be a good contribution to your lower power figure, but on the other hand, i do think the results may have been slightly lower (talking 10rwkw's max) than a few others around. Just my thoughts anyway. cheers for the pics guys

that's a good power figure for 8psi i think personally. GTR man give carlos from millenium a call on 3348 2755 and tell him you saw it in the dyno day pics and wanted more information on it. I'm pretty sure he refills them and he has the setup on his supra so he would know the costs. I've been stirring up a few of the boys on nissan silvia and we have some rivalry between the sr20 boys and the rb20 boys!!!!

That interior is going off!! Looks like it needs a small clean up but that's pretty good for a light coloured 15yr old interior!

Millenium is quite a large cement building with the dyno situated up the back and plenty of room for standing. Im going to bring some large tarps but i doubt we'll need them if it's raining anyway. Im about to go pick up the pumps now from import bitz. Melv i think that may be a bit too late, not sure. I need people there pretty early so we can get the numbers rolling on the dyno. Should still be going by 1pm but try and get there earlier if you can. cheers

lookin great chief, you know what im gonna say though...... Lower the damn thing!!! I'm sure you have plans for it though. I found the Tein suspension sat lower in the laurel compared to in the s13. Heavier car i guess is the reason. Got any interior pics??

lol, i can never work out what your up to these days meggala, so you are definately going with a laurel? or a laurel and a ceffy??? I thought you had changed your mind for another cefiro? Got any pics of the laurel? cheers
