  1. well my question has nothing to do with yours sorry. If you read my post it asks about a bleed valve not being able to control the boost no matter which adjustment it is set at. It just tries to go all the way to 1bar and further but it hits fuel cut first. Does anybody have any other suggestions please? Cheers
  2. thanks fellas, just needed to double check.
  3. well i checked my original hose from the wastegate to the turbo and there was nothing inside of it. Anybody have any ideas. thanks
  4. hey peeps, I have always posted things from group buys with the money being deposited into my account first etc etc. Tomorrow i am going to send a cooler cod. I have organised for the buyer to deposit a $50 security deposit before the cooler is sent and then to pay the rest on cod. Are there any real risks i need to worry about when it comes to sending cod? The $50 deposit covers me if he doesn't come and pick it up and covers postage back to my address. Any ideas, experiences etc?? thanks everyone Jayson
  5. When i installed a bleed valve a little while ago my car would try and run unlimited boost till it hit fuel cut no matter which end i turned it to. I went to the mechanics and we tried another turbosmart one and it did the same. Does anybody know what is causing this? The thing was definately set up properly. I double checked on the turbosmart web page, i confirmed with the mechanic also. Reason why i ask is that i know of someone selling an avcr quite cheap and he said that when he ran it on his ca18 it did the same thing. I would like to get an electronic boost controller but if it's going to do this then there isn't much point. Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks Jayson
  6. thanks steve, i will try that today.
  7. speaking from experience, it's very frustrating when you try and organise a group buy, get a cheaper price, then you find out someone has the same or something similar cheaper and then you have promised the suppliers etc and then nothing happens!!!
  8. one thing to note. It idles perfectly when cold, no misses etc, but when i try to take off it misses and surges in power. When it's warm it misses like crazy on idle and doesn't really miss when accelerating.
  9. cleaned the aac valve yesterday. That's the thing mounted on the back of the manifold right with the cylinder like contraption bolted onto it? Fuel pump was new about 4 months ago when i did the conversion. Plug gap is about 0.8 i think. bcp6res are the plugs im running im pretty sure. I'll double check the bov for leaks i think. Thanks people
  10. ****Deleted by PranK - i cant believe there are people stupid enough to ask for public drifting areas on a publicly viewable forum!!!!****
  11. Alright, i am having a few issues with my car and i've tried a few things but still haven't fixed it. Stats: rb20det power silvia. rb25 tubo, stock exhaust, hks mushroom pod, malpassi rising rate fuel reg, vl turbo fuel pump, injectors flushed and flow tested spot on last week. EL falcon o2 sensor mated to skyline plug, rb20det wastegate stock boost (around 8psi), afm cleaned regularly. Problem: when my car is at idle it misses and the revs drop a little. This is intermittent (spelling?). Also, when on the gas peddle and if i back off, then accelerate again sometimes there is a big miss and it's a little hard to start in the morning. Overall, my car doesn't perform as good as what i think it should. Uses about 350 klms to a tank.:headspin: This problem has been around for a while so i got the injectors flushed and flow tested. They were spot on, i recently put a fuel reg in and set it at 40psi, now the car is a bit easier to start but is still a pain. NB, i didn't remove the stock fuel reg. Does anybody have any suggestions for this at all?? It's driving me crazy. :blast: Im going to remove the coil packs and give them a clean shortly. Any ideas, comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated Thanks Jayson
  12. yeha i wouldn't mind knowing. I have a vl turbo fuel pump and it's not doing me any good i don;'t think. Time to upgrade.
  13. if only r32 power fc's were that cheap for the rb20det!!! Goodluck with the sale
  14. the group buy has gone ahead. Sent two already. Thanks
  15. both the links work for me and im not signed in to yahoo so it doesn't recognise me as a user. No idea??
  16. ok mate, try this one then... http://au.f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/dmc198...oo.com/&.view=t Just copy and paste the whole thing into your web page. Should hopefully work.
  17. I have tried to find a fitting to replace the stock regulator all day but had no luck. Could you just drill the internals of the orignal fuel reg out at all and just keep it on to save getting a fitting made???? Please let me know asap as im having a lot of fuel dramas. thanks Jayson
  18. NEW quickshifters exact replicas of the c's brand. For rb20det rb20de rwd, s13, s14 and s15 (ca and sr five speeds) also for rb30e and rb30et boxes. Still awaiting news on the rb25 and 4wd ones. the gear knob isn't included!!! $240 new in their packaging. Can post interstate. Need 9 buyers for the price. C's original are about $320 2nd hand so this is quite a significant saving as these are brand spanking new and they are just as good quality having inspected both. Postage shouldn't be anymore than $10 depending on location. If you want one you can contact me on [email protected], pm or 0401 669 900. thanks Jayson I have enough buyers already. Sending them now.
  19. an adjustable castor rod adjusts where your wheel is positioned. ie front or back in the wheel arch. It's apparently best to have both wheels forward at a reasonable position. Adjustable castor rods allow you to adjust the castor so the wheel can be moved back and forth. Does anybody have any more to add? I found out today that the castor rods will be available at the start of january so i'll bring it back up then when they come up due to the interest. I really need these also as mine is way out of align. Quickshifters are available now for rb20det rwd at $240. Can post interstate and im sure postage will be under $10 for most places. Also available for s13, s14 and s15 ca and sr with the 5 speed box only. I will make a new thread in group buys now i have definate prices. Anymore questions don't be afraid to pm me. Strutto will keep everyone posted on the castor rods. thanks Jayson
  20. take offers on the pod and mounting bracket with cleaning kit.
  21. ok the shifters are dead replicas of genuine c's short shifters. Still waitin on confirmation for rb25 btu i know they can get them for rb20det 2 wheel drive. The 4 wheel boxes may be slighty different. I only quickly visited the company the other day to find out if they had anything more coming through and to buy some parts for my car. Will be back in by the end of the week to get more info. The adjustable castor rods are also copies of a particular brand which i can't remember. I'll find out by the end of the week though when i go back. By the end of the week i will have group buy prices for the quick shifters but the castor rods are still in production etc so will be a small while yet. I will be getting a quick shifter for myself so providing you are capable of driving a manual car with a heavy clutch your welcome to try my car if your in brisbane. I've had a fair bit of interest from the nissansilvia boys too so the quickshifter group buy will go ahead. Strutto i think they'll make them for all skyline models cuz i think they'd be silly not to. However, i haven't sussed it all out yet but i'll be in touch. Cheers Jayson
  22. HEy everyone, I can do a group buy on quickshifters and adjustable castor rods may also be coming up shortly. Just wanting to know what sort of interest there is to know whether it's worth doing a group buy for it. cheers jayson
  23. hey mate, i may still be able to get them. I'll let you know when i find out.
  24. Bump Bump Bump
  25. I found that with my c*****dore, removing the air con compressor and installing thermofans assisted the car a bit as the strain on the crank isn't as much to turn them.
