  1. The magna with SA plates is a definate. There is also a greyish coloured one with maybe ACT plates, will check later. They filmed a mate and confiscated his car at a later date. Both these magnas are undercover cops filming. They won't pull you over but if u slip up you'll see them in a couple of weeks. I have seen this red magna in action twice and recorded the number plate in my phone. I was sitting in a taxi coming back from the city one night when they were filming the car beside them as we sat behind them. The people beside them luckily caught on. They have also tailed us many times. I believe there are two green utes, having seen two doing their dirty work outside harry's diner a couple of friday nights ago. There was also a new model ford falcon (grey), that was giving them some assistance with some cables or something. I assumed video recording stuff. Hope that helps a few.

    ***Skidpan Day***

slip, can you also put my name down if someone pulls out. Will also transfer funds immediately. Also could you please let me know about next skid pan day. My email is jase_1983@hotmail.com Thanks Jayson
  3. Yeah that's probably true joel. Someone wanna suss it out?
  4. int21h, im getting the exact amount of klms from my tank also. rb20det silvia. I replaced the o2 sensor and it was great for a couple of weeks, now it has gone back to 350 again. Not sure why. I've got an rb25 turbs and im runnign 10psi.
  5. I got an OS geiken single plate button clutch and lightened flywheel for $500 when i was putting my rb20det in the silvia. The clutch in the cut was stuffed so this being relatively cheap i took it up. Now im thinking of keeping the flywheel and just putting a different clutch on the flywheel if possible.
  6. two posts in the general section now selling the same thing, a moderator needs to give this guy a whooping.
  7. Does anybody know the bore sizes of the rb20 brake master cylinder and the silvia master cylinder?? Im hoping the rb20 one is bigger so i can swap them over. Otherwise im going to have to check this gtr thing out.
  8. This is the same in my silvia. I had the welds and the whole bracket reinforced and i haven't had any more trouble YET! However, the pedal is still as hard as shit and i was thinking of whether an r32 clutch master cylinder would be bigger. You could probably get your clutch master cylinder rebored and a bigger piston fitted possibly?
  9. what petrol are u using wld747
  10. i reckon lifters 25det, when the oil is cold and has had time to settle to the bottom the lifters make a bit of noise but once operating temp is reached and the oil is pumped thru the engine the lifter will be fully lubricated and stop tapping. Just my thought.
  11. I don't know whether there is much tuning needed really. I simply bolted it on, reset the computer and went on my merry way.
  12. when i cleaned mine i removed the coil packs and the coil pack wiring loom, i bought some contact cleaner and sprayed it on the plug connectors and where it plugs into the coilpacks, then i sprayed where the spark plugs contact to the coil in the rubber grommet thing. Left it to dry for about 20 mins, then wiped down with a clean cloth for any excess and reassembled.
  13. did it all of a sudden come on or has it been a gradual sort of noise over the months/years... It could be a noisy lifter so maybe u should give it an oil flush when changing oils, otherwise maybe it could be the oil pump? Either way i'd check it out asap as rebuilds aren't cool.
  14. A friend had a similar problem with his 25 similar to yours skyrkt, he changed his exhaust again and it sorted itself out. No idea why.
  15. i saw some people gapped them at 0.76, is 0.7 too small at all??
  16. yeah mine was doing that till i put those plugs in. Popping sound etc, i had iridiums in previously. How much boost are you running? Maybe you could look at gapping them a tad smaller like 0.76 or something along those lines.
  17. Quote: Hi cul202, I agree with mase, get a RB25DET turbo. swap the wastegate actuator from your RB20DET turbo. RB25DET is 0.4 bar whereas RB20SET is 0.6 bar. The RB25DET turbo flows more air at the same boost level, so gives around 20 rwkw more power. It bolts straightup, so cost is minimised. That's spot on what i did sydneykid, thanks for the tip off on the wastegate in the other thread. Lots of fun. If you want a car for straight performance then the vg30 would be good but it's a tad lagier. Rb25 turbs is good if u like a bit of drifting and a more smoother power curve.
  18. why not get an rb25 turbo instead rather than rebuilding the stock unit unless you plan on putting bigger wheels in the turbo?
  19. how long does that solve the problem for tho??? I would think that the ecu would eventually go back to it's original behaviour over time???
  20. hey war, i installed the same plugs in my rb20det sil and it has stopped the miss when the foot is down but at idle it's missing a fair bit now since plug change. Im glad to hear im not the only one. Im going to do vacuum lines first and also reset the ecu and then it's an injector clean and flow test i think. Let me know how you go though ok cuz there is a possibility you may have the same problem!! Thanks Jayson
  21. skyrine dave, try aussie auto on kelvin grove rd just before it hits the alderly arms hotel. 84.95 it was and that's the cheapest i've found so far.
  22. why regap them to 0.8??? They are recommended to be gapped at 1.1. Can someone let me know asap as i just bought a new set for my rb20det. Thanks
  23. Alright, at first the car was missing at roughly 4500, it would sputter and pop etc etc, tonight it has started to do it under load going up a hill in 5th, then it started to miss at idle and at 2500rpm after that basically. Any ideas as to what it is??? Tomorrow im putting a new set of sparkies in there which will replace the iridiums which have been in there for about 6000klms. Thanks Jayson ps, it's in an rb20det
  24. Has anybody thought that maybe it may be a faulty injector/dirty injector??? An injector could be dirty and staying open a little possibly and causing overfueling in a cyliner. One of my plugs was blacker than the rest so im getting my injectors checked.
  25. Thanks meggala, it's a good challenge to read!!!
