  1. You have too much money my friend. Two 180's now???? Or did u sell the rb20det powered one???
  2. Repco still said $117, called aussie auto's and they said $84.95 and conventry said they would match it. So for all the qld people check out aussie auto's for your EL o2 sensor. Hope this saves a lot of qld people a fair bit of work!! Cheers Jayson
  3. yeah i definately agree on that. My rb20 was running 0.6bar and the rb25 one is running 0.4 bar and it still goes better. Can't wait to turn it up a bit more!
  4. Yeah but last time i put a bleed valve on the thing didn't work. It would almost reach the set boost in 1st, then in the following gears it would try and climb all the way till it hit fuel cut. Tried another turbo smart one and it did the same thing so i wasn't sure whether my wastegate was stuffed or whether it's something that my computer didn't like. I just don't want to take the risk with the new turbo so im going electronic when i can afford it. I think the bleed valve being faulty was a good contributer to stuffin my turbo even tho it only happend a couple of times.
  5. is busons like repco or something?? I went to repco and asked about them, $117 for one of them, $150 for the other. Think i'll give them a call and ask specifically for the EL one. Thanks wld747
  6. Just read the performance forum thread more. It's an EA-EL one and he got it from repco so im off to repco right now.
  7. I just priced one of these at the ford services place. EL-EF Falcon o2 sensor $144. Where was that guy on performance forums getting it from??? Im looking for a bosch equivalent at the moment.

  9. Thanks for the advice fellas. Fat32 thanks also but i don't want to run that much boost coming into summer. It's pretty hot under the bonnet of the silvia with the six in there. Sydneykid, yeah i was wondering if i could swap them over or not and was going to have a look at it. Thanks for the advice though. I was just concerned that something may have not been right. Thanks Jayson
  10. Thanks anyway, bought one for $550
  11. I've got an rb25 turbo on my rb20 and for some reason it runs 0.4 bar stock. The wastegate is sharing a vacuum line instead of me tapping into the cooler piping. Anybody got any ideas?? My thoughts were either the wastegate was playing up or it doesn't like sharing vacuum lines. thanks Jayson
  12. yeah that would be great cuz im getting one next week.
  13. Alright, all is sorted!!!! Does ur's run 0.4 bar stock??? Mine does. I got the r33 piping off the guy who i bought the turbo off for free so it's all good. Can't wait to go out tonight in it. Missed my car!!!! hehe The turbo went on with the only problem being the wastegate vacuum line which i simply T-pieced off with another vacuum line just above it on the cooler pipe. Will post pics maybe.
  14. im pretty sure mate.
  15. Had any reliability issues mate???
  16. yeah i wasn't gonna be running anything silly. Stock boost till i get a boost controller and front mount then nothing too much. Got dramas now, i don't have the pipe that bolts to the turbo. The one which the cooler piping goes onto. The rb20 one is smaller and nobody has one around. Think one might need to be fabricated which means more cash. grrrrrr
  17. bit of info for you...... when calling tt and asking them what they do to fit the swaybar under the rb20 engine they replied that they bash the sump in to fit the sway bar on properly. Big no no i reckon. My rb20det hasn't seen a good run yet, the cut i got had a buggered turbs and o2 sensor. Turbo is being replaced at the moment and o2 sensor next week as i've run out of cash. Then i'll give you all a good run down on it.
  18. or you can just t-piece it off where you plug your boost guage in on the back of the manifold. I have tried lining up the flange from the intercooler piping from the turbo, to the connector that the intercooler hose goes to and the rb20 unit's bolts don't line up as the unit is smaller. Will take pics later to show you. Mine is a series 2 r33 turbs.
  19. Well thanks everyone for your help. Im doing the thing and finding out for myself, will post information as soon as it's done and i've finished having fun with it. From what i have learnt so far, (rb25det turbo on rb20det) run the line from the wastegate to where your boost guage plugs in at the back of the manifold to save tapping into your intercooler pipes. To keep your boost guage just put a T- piece in there. You will need the rb25 lower intercooler pipe cuz the rb20 one won't bolt straight up. I think i may need a different thread size for the water piping but i'll get into it when i get up to it and last but not least, rusty bolts are a real bitch, expect to break a few. Part 2 coming soon. Jayson ps. by the way, i went for the 25 turbo as my car is sluggish off the start as it is and putting a vg30det turbo on there would of made it worse.
  20. That makes two of us!!!
  21. If all your buyers fall thru i'd be interested in taking just the turbo off your hands. Thanks
  22. Come on people, i've done a search on this already and came up with not much at all. This is what i've found from meggala's site. http://www.meggala.com/mods3.htm Hope he doesn't mind me adding a link of it to the page.
  23. you have a pm, eagerly awaiting your reply. Thanks
  24. Could anyone who has done the conversion of vg30det onto an rb20det please supply a few hints and tips. I looked on meggala's site but was after some more info please people. Also, will a vl turbo fuel pump be able to keep up with this turbo happily running up to 12psi boost??? I know you need to rotate the housing on the turbo or something and the oil and water lines won't match up. For those who have done the rb25det turbo on rb20det could you please list the procedures also. Im having a lot of trouble finding an rb25det turbo at a reasonable price so im thinking of opting to the vg30det even tho it's a bit laggier. All info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks heaps people, things are starting to look up for my car now i think. Jayson
  25. You fellas are legends, that's great info. WLD 747, don't be stingy mate. $60 for a EL-EF falcon sensor new. You'd be crazy not to at that price.
