In theory the build up of the spray should increase the refractive index i.e. making it greater than air. Light i.e. flash from a camera, should have difficulty passing through it, hence the blurr Ive heard of people doing this with hairspray I like lollies also

Maybe try removing the rear seat, pulling off the panel behind the front seat and using a die grinder on the inside to cut the striker plates bolts/nuts?

Voltage Fluctuating And Headlights Pulsating
Jmaac replied to lineskee 33's topic in General Maintenance
Could possibly be an earth or a mismatch b/n battery & alternator size. Most regulators actually sit on the back of the alternator (its that black plastic box) but this depends on the type i.e. hitachi, bosch etc. -
Crap I drove b/n caltex and quix for 30mins and couldnt find any skylines, nice ladies tho Did people end up going?

how much for turbo and exh. manifold? Is it an internally gated turbo just welded shut?
-
I know you said they checked all the fuses but they have no clue about skylines. Check the fusable links near the battery maybe?

Help Trying To Diagnose Exhaust Vapour/dust/oil
Jmaac replied to ish's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Those vapours could be from an ATMO or hybrid BOV on a down change. At high rpm a blocked cat can cause a leak b/n flanges Sounds ok, increase in breathing hence running richer thus noticably more smoke. Without a tune it would run rough, if not stall with the ATMO unless compensated for with the PFC. Not sure about the detonation, maybe it has something to do with the missing air that the atmo releases and the sys. cant meter -
I wouldnt worry about not having customer experience. Go in with a positive attitutude, talk well and you'll have no probs

What Would Be The Problem?
Jmaac replied to rad100's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
If your bushes and suspension rubbers have all been replaced then its definately a wheel bearing. If its that bad your wheels going to fall off soon - mechanic shouldnt of let it out of the shop. If you turn the wheel all the way to the left or right and hear a big clunk whilst going over corners/bumps etc. its your balljoint - you really need this to steer otherwise the wheel will be flopping about, probably fall off also Both are really cheap and easy to fix. Get a balljoint & balljoint tool and a wheel bearing kit from supercheap etc. If in doubt replace them both -
Which Rim Size Will Handle Better
Jmaac replied to tarmac's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
16 on gtst, 17 on gtr and setup steering geom. to factory specs - the way its supposed to be I think the tyre wall flex is something you have to maybe experiement with/or do research for. Many people hit & miss - it really deepends on many factors -
The hunting is normal. The limits might be a bit extreme which means as above, clean your AAC and maybe even your AFM - use electrical contact cleaner for AFM and carby cleaner for AAC. Check for any air leaks with hot soapy water through any vaccum hoses That noise is definately your belt. tighten it, spray on crc, or replace it (do others at same time)

As EMZ said, probably not related to any of the above. Sounds like the line pressure to the auto is no good. Run an automatic transmission diagnostic - ive put a tutorial in the relevent section, and work back from there.

Definately your wheel balance. Get it done asap, leave it for long and you'll add uneven wear to your tyres and have to get the pair replaced You shouldnt need any specs for wheel balance and if the wheels arnt stock then the toe/camber angles etc. that are in the workshop manual will be no good to you anyway

Yep you can get universal boots -
Just grab all the pieces from a gtst and install them onto your car - go single turbo. Install a spacer/swap pistons, larger injectors, ecu. Valve springs might be a little soft for big boost. Way too many isues going TT

Standard R32 Gtr Oil Pump Or N1 Gtr Oil Pump?
Jmaac replied to GKTECH's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Go N1, your pcv valve should stop any seals blowing out, if not enlargen it -
There is no #19, only 11-17 #21 Ignition signal circuit - No consecutive ignition signal whilst the engine is running Maybe check the earth from coilpack/ignitor

Goto Nissan dealership or parts place, or just make some using your existing jack to make a template. There are also two types of sill adapters if u noticed also

Auto Transmission Diagnostics A few people have been asking about the Auto transmition diagnosics. Here is an extract from the ebook "The Sky Is The Limit" that may help. To Enter the auto transmission diagnostics mode Have the car at normal temperature in Park with the overdrive on Start the engine the power light will go out after 2 seconds Turn the ignition off Move the selector to Drive (you may have to use the push button release) Overdrive off Wait 2 seconds, and turn the ignition on Wait 2 seconds and move the selector to 2 Overdrive on Move the selector to 1 Overdrive Off Press the accelerator fully and release Auto transmission diagnostics codes The error codes are flashed out using the Power light on the dashboard (R32) or the Power / Snow button (R33). The sequence starts with one long flash. If everything is OK, this will be followed by ten short flashes. Errors are indicated by a long flash in the sequence of short flashes. 1st flash longer - Revolution sensor shorted or disconnected 2nd flash longer - Speed sensor shorted or disconnected 3rd flash longer - Throttle sensor shorted or disconnected 4th flash longer - Shift solenoid A shorted or disconnected 5th flash longer - Shift solenoid B shorted or disconnected 6th flash longer - Overrun clutch solenoid shorted or disconnected 7th flash longer - Lockup solenoid shorted or disconnected 8th flash longer - Fluid temperature sensor is disconnected or the control unit power source is damaged 9th flash longer - Engine revolution sensor shorted or disconnected 10th flash longer - Line pressure solenoid shorted or disconnected All flashes the same with no long start flash - Battery voltage low, has been recently disconnected or control unit has just been reconnected
