  1. its odb. Theres heaps of free software that interfaces with it however you'll need the usb>diagnosis plug connector (plmsdevelopments.com) odb2 is a little newer, like used in the v35 (2000+ model cars), different plug too i think consult reads the odb from the ecu via the diagnosis plug connector you can use it to monitor sensors and check for faults you dont need the connector or consult interface to do those either
  2. coolangatta, tugun, currumbin, burleigh heads, mermaid beach, broadbeach are good on the coast. the last few are near surfers & casino so are good for going out... palm beach is a shite hole
  3. ignition module (aka ignitor), black box on top of the head that your coilpacks plug into (on S1) when the unit is on its way out it will stop working once it gets hot
  4. You could try using threadlocker or something wheels been balanced?
  5. thats the 'complete harness kit' not the r33 gtr plug-n-play one i'll give you $400 just 4 the emu
  6. haha aint hooters great. PM me i'll come grab it 2night if toes doesnt
  7. Replace the whole assembly. Each wiper is approx 15$ from Scheap Go the Bosch Microedge Front driver is 500, passenger is 550 and rear w/shiled is 450
  8. Spare tyre in boot is rubbing on the car
  9. Reusing the stock copper washers are fine unless its been crushed from being overtightened. You'll see the bearing area if it has been once you pull it out
  10. Helicoil it, its stronger than the original thread
  11. Use an easyout. Its a screw bit with a reverse thread on it that you screw through the back of the plug. As it tightens it loosens up the other bolt Weld another nut on the end Try loosening with a 'true' hex fitting Get an rb30 one from the wreckers i guess
  12. You cant use other AFM's without changing the VQ table in your ECU - i.e. the voltages are scaled differently R32 AFM is the same as R33 S1 AFM Wire A - Not Connected Wire B - Signal Wire C - 12v Ground Wire D - Signal Ground Wire E - 12v Power R33 S2 AFM is the same size and calibration as the other two White with Blue Trace - Ground Orange with Black Trace - Signal Black with White Trace - 12v Power Hope that helps
  13. As long as you vent after all the collectors have merged you'll have no problems Ive seen some adaptor plates that are sandwiched b/n the exhaust manifold and the turbo itself. They are pretty much a hollow billet with a fitting coming out at 90deg to allow for ext. wg
  14. S2 also have the high spoiler, different s/wheel, driver a/bag as standard etc. The ignitor (ign module) is a black box thats bolted to the top of the head (in the middle) towards the back of the motor If its not there, you'll see 4 holes where it should of been. S2 have it built into the oem ecu chassis are the same, wouldnt be ecnomical to change. Rad support panel is different
  15. Wont the Q45 max out? I would of thought the Z32 afm
  16. Wont be water temp sensor. If it was to effect it that much, the temp on the dash would be off the scale at normal op. temp
  17. Same turbo, just get diff exh. housing
  18. Have you had the head itself pressure tested? it could be cracked also
  19. Yes if theres actually an error it would continue flashing once you tried to restart your car your resetting the SRS computer by doing this... the steering wheel may of been taken off at some stage or someone shorted one of the SRS wires
  20. or pull the cat out of the a/c belt
  21. I think the springs sit in a rubber dampner, maybe there worn also?
  22. Theres heaps on here about how much the stock internals take, but I think anything much more over that your usually relying on the motors past history and chance etc. I think the turbos a good choice, im actually looking at getting one myself - good tradeoff between response and power it seems
  23. Its a glorified bleed valve I believe full EBC's use a stepper motor to get control resolution, they also use much more than a switch for logic. Remember this circuit is DC, the solenoid is only going to have two states from such a switch, open or closed (new boost pressure or back to stock...etc)
  24. Your mongoose alarm is probably looking after all the usual items that you put a killswitche on anyway
