no no no .i mean if you wanted to know more or see other peoples designs on this forum.I am a strong believer in cold air intake ,i made one out of the old air box from my r33,i used the top half and created a little room and used the top half of the airbox as the cold air scoop.I am interested what u have discovered though!Cheeky.....huh.I have also done some experimenting with cold air pipes directed directly at the turbo...huh!!!
-
hey bloody hoon any prices on work you have seen there. It would be good to compare thanks
-
this is true rb25 .Why dont ya check out cold air intake on this forum.I know there is abit on them.
-
thanks 51jay and doorz.I got 2 at home that are conveniently located next to a big beer fridge in the garage i am sure any of you guys could have access to both!!!!!I can get plenty of labour to help so maybe we should bbq, beer and car??? when i get back from nz i will let u know.Hiey maybe i can even buy a performance clutch over there if our australian dollar stays strong!!!
-
thanks steve...i go to nz in 2 weeks cant do it till i get back.It only slips at willowbank, on the steet it holds 1st and 2nd frying?not that i would do that ****stable,if your reading this .say whats that over there........(gone)

hhhhmmmm they have got some shit hot cars come out of there. But once again prformance shop doing simple mechanical job.As for performance or fabrication job yes they are good but be prepared to have to sell your first born to pay for the job!
-
havnt heard enuff bout air/water but would go this option to do something diffrent. Why arnt drag cars using it??
-
can you imagine an enclosed tank with a normal intercooler in side of it but smaller. The water cools the intercooler .But after a while the water gets warm so the water needs cooling too.The advantages are that water cools better than air.Disadvantage is that the water needs cooling too!!
-
yes they have been around for a while and i think they are good i was going to get one for my r33 as to do something diffrent and not follow suit.Requires some extra plumbing though

ok i have hooked the saf-c up and it works good.At first i couldnt get it to initialize(erase any data),i knew this cos when i reved the car it stuttered as if it was running really rich and as i found out it was.I went to high throttle and to low throttle and set all settings to +5%.I took it for a drive and it was very sluggish and was running rich so i pulled up and set all the values to -5% and .....she turned into a rocket well almost.I used to be able to get some wheel spin if i dumped clutch in second at 50 kph now it left me sideways frying 2nd for about 80 metres .I am still left with 3 spare wires ,but the manual does not tell me where to connect these. All my connections were soldered into place then electrical taped to ensure good insulation. although i have set high throttle and low throttle all to -5% i still dont know what these terms refer to?? I also dont know what Ne point is . The car will be going to APC next week for a dyno and then test n tune at willowbank hoping to break 13.7. any questions or comments appreaciated And thanks predator666 its amazing what useful information can do!!!
-
thanks guys hooking it up tonight will let u know what happens .I will be adding 10% methyl benzine too and noting diffrence before and after!!!

for anyone that wants to try this "fluttering" noise and is thinking to install a door stopper or something like that ....all u gotta do is take off the vacume hose running to the bov and plug the end.Having said this ,as cool as it sounds i wouldnt do this for too long or hit high boost as it will cause the turbo problems.
-
thanks predator666 and na 33 when i install the saf-c can i leave all values on + or - 0% wont this leave the afm signal as is without ant modification?? or do i have to richen it up if so why?
-
oops i just saw you did .When you had it tuned what improvements did you find?
-
strich9ine just wondering if you have a saf-c in your car?
-
gday I have just picked up an Apexi saf-c and i will be installing it in my r33 gts-t.The unit used to be on a 200sx .I am giving it a try to try and eradicate the rich fuel intake i am getting when at 11psi hoping to squeeze a few more kilowatts out of her. Has anyone installed this themselves?? In the manual it says red wire: pwr green wire:rpm signal brown:ground black:ground yellow: air flow output white:airflow input ok in the wiring diagram for nissan all wires are shown except they have changed the name instead of airflow input and airflow out put there is AIRFLOW SIGNAL AND THROTTLE SIGNAL WHICH IS WHICH???? also once i have the unit installed is it just a matter of driving and making adjustmaent or is there things that need doing before i start it or drive it?? Another thing the unit was in a 200 sx does the saf-c hold a memory of settings and how could this affect this install Any info would be a great help thanks =Marty!

squeeling can be a number of things 1)glazed pads 2)low brake pad sqeeler set too high 3)slight movement in the pad while it sits in the caliper, you can apply a special greese to the back of the pad before you stik them in to prevent this slight back/forward movement to quieten them down HOPE THIS HELPS

ALSO a place like CHAPMAN and CHAPMAN is a performance price therefore you are paying Bigger $ per hour for specialised work so getting ur timing belt done could have been done by any decent mechanic.Next time i am going to APC
-
chapman and chapman came in at the quoted price. And as far as timing belts go i dont really think u can **** them unless you are very incompetent.I had a mate at the same time get some work done, power steering leaking he has a shit hot skyline you will see it on a cruise some day (nismo blue colour ).They somehoe managed to rebuild his power sreering pump so that under no power(foot off accelerator )and trying to do a u turn the car turns itself off ,he is pissed and is taking it back. After talkinf to other people they said "mr chapman is an arrogant ****er who lacks telephone skills and i would have to agree he is very short.I like to feel comfortable when i spend money somewhere i think he was a bit short kind of like he was wasting his time doing the job.But on the other hand he has proven his tuning abilities on other mates cars and it just appears it has all got to his head and rather than earning a living it seems he is living a lifestyle.NISMO GIRL so this is what i think...

hello .i ahve a moroon r33 gtst and am a perfectionist when it comes to pain. All the cars i have ever owned were immaculate monsters. The problem:i have very light not like orbital buff swirls but spider web type imperfections all over the car in the light.I use all maguires products,I have tried gold class prep then gold class and find its too hard to remove on these cars it is like the clear is really soft.I use the softest cotton material for polishing any ideas on what people have found to be successful.Would a paint shop have something to fix them???I am in brisbane any businesses that can help please let me know !cheers

brianlee ,i wouldnt be able to write that on here cos i would be out hunting .I sugest you go find a group of young ****s in ur area that hang out in a park or something and with a group of mates flog them black and blue and the tell them to find out who did it or you will be back next week .And go back next week to flog them again. These ****s that do this usually brag and word gets around. My bros car got broken into and this is the method we used .After 1 1/2 weeks some little poofter came up to my mates brother and handed the stuff he sole out of my bros car back and said he didnt know and that he was sorry and he was right!sorry he was!!! you will find them mate you just gotta look in the right places!I am in brizzy too and if you find out email me I get a bit bored some weekends -
Which Fuel Pump for the RB20DET upgrade?
qikr33 replied to Mr R32 M-Spec's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
ok fuel pumps.....My mate caught this kunt syphoning fuel out of his car and made him syphon it back in .He said the **** sucked and syphoned so quickly that he would probably be good for 600 horse power .I guess my mate could get him to do 30 - 40 psi with a piece of timber in his hands...i will ask if you can borrow him!!!!! -
